Igniting Red's Flame

Rate this book
Sometimes a new love rides into your life and you get a second chance at love.

RED
I’d been married to the love of my life for years. We’d been together since our teens, building a life, building a club, having a family. We’d been inseparable until the day she died.
I’d thought losing her would be the hardest thing I’d have to endure…. until I lost our eldest son not long after.
That’s when I knew that something had to change. I wasn’t willing to lose more family. I made changes and rebuilt the club, then passed it to Maestro, ready to settle into retirement.
I’d made Ruthie a promise on her death bed—a promise I thought would be easy to keep, because I never expected a second chance at love.
Until the day I met Emily. She was like a bolt out the blue, and I knew I’d be keeping that promise after all—because I wasn’t about to let a second chance at a soul mate slip through my fingers.

EMILY
Life hadn’t been kind, and I hadn’t always made the best choices—especially when it came to men. When my husband and Old Man was sentenced to years in prison, I was back to square one, relying only on myself.
I’d become a surrogate grandmother to two kids in the trailer park where I’d finally settled. When a local MC rolled up to their trailer, I wasn’t about to let them leave without finding out what they wanted with my family.
I never expected a second chance at love. But one look at Deck “Red” Ivor, and I knew my life would never be the same.
I embraced my new life, happy to again be on the back of a sled with my man. My family surrounding me. It seemed I was destined to be an Old Lady.
And when my past came knocking, I knew I had nothing to worry about—because if there’s one thing the Queens Wraiths do best, it’s protect their own.

NOTE: This is a later in life romance and is intended for mature readers 18 years and older. It includes sexual situations, strong language, loss of loved ones including a spouse and a little violence.

Born and brought up in Mazabuka, Zambia. I love all genre's but I'm partial to Shifter, Paranormal and MC.
I'm a Virtual Assistant by day and a wordsmith by night.
I like coffee and cake, sleeping in and lazy weekends unless my husband drags me to a rock concert.
My husband is my inspiration for all my male characters and why I'm a believer in love at first sight. We have been together for 29 years.
I'm a big believer in family not always being blood but the people you bring into your life and that people come and go in your life as they are needed.

How much pain & loss can one man take. Deck (Red) has had more than his fair share. First his wife Ruthie then his son Chains pass away. Red has no idea the next chapter in his life is just around the corner.
Meeting Chains’ son, Ford, brings Emily into his life. Along with Fords little sister Poppy. These ready made grandchildren bring Red back to life.
The start of this book will grab you by the heartstrings & really doesn’t let go till the end. Hold on for tears of sadness but more tears of joy & happiness. A later in life love story, so good.
Well done Michelle Dups loved it

Wow, another fantastic book Michelle. I think I will need to buy shares in Kleenex if you keep writing such great books that have me sobbing like a baby. Red and Emily are an older couple who find each other by accident and get another chance at love. I love how the brotherhood and their families embraced not just Ford and Poppy but Emily also and made them feel that they had a home. The club isn't just about riding motorbikes and partying it's about family and Michelle truly shows this throughout her books. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars ⭐⭐

Second chance love

Love that this was an older couple for a change, showing love is ageless. This book is a continuation from some previous books but can be a stand alone read. I recommend reading in order for the best enjoyment of the series, but it is still a great book about two people in the second season of their life finding a real love.

Unputdownable!!

WOW!! I couldn't stop reading this and even skipped chores! Much to my dog's dismay!
Red lost his wife to cancer and his son was killed. He decided to turn the MC from a 1 percenter to legit. Then he retired and turned It over to his next child. Man the action and stories in this book!! Fantastic!!

This was a fun "older" couple romance to read. Emily did give everyone a bit of the side eye at the start and understandably, but quickly she saw that these guys walked the talk. It was fun to see Emily blend in so well understand the life. Because she was familiar with the lifestyle, Emily knew when she needed to call Red for help and knew the whole club would jump into figure things out. What they discovered was the cherry on the sundae! I loved how Emily didn't keep the outcome to herself, but made sure that they club would share in things, which then went on to help the club help others. The wedding at the end was perfect and it was great to see them happy years later.

Great

This book was so good. Great characters and storyline. Good twists and turns plus action and suspense. Normally you don't get a book about older couples, but this one was so good.

I’m a huge fan of books about older and more mature characters. Absolutely loved this storyline where we meet Deck/Red’s whose wife of many years has recently died from cancer. Then his son Chains unexpectedly dies leaving him at a loss whilst coming to terms with the recent events. Love comes knocking when he meets Emily and her family via Chains’ son. There’s plenty of tears and sadness, but the MC brotherhood and their families help this new relationship become a second chance at love.

When Red's beloved wife dies, he made her a promise. If love finds him again, he won't shy away from it and will grab on with both hands. No problem, because he knows he will never fall in love again. Then his oldest son dies, and leaves behind a son of his own that no one knew about. When the club finds out, they immediately go to get him and bring him home. Enter Emily. She has looked after Ford since the day he and his mom moved in across the street from her. And now, she has also claimed his baby sister. When the bikers pull up, she's not letting them go without knowing they will be safe and loved. All of a sudden, Red's promise comes back to him. Emily is a woman who has not had an easy life, and he wants to change that. He's holding on and not letting go, just as he promised.
This is a lovely, later in life second chance story that will warm your heart. Michelle Dups writes the most amazing, ooey, gooey, cinnamon roll heros!
As always, I am left eagerly awaiting the next book.

Igniting Red's Flame is part of the multi author collaboration of 14 Days Of Love And Lust Bikers And Mobsters world. This book is absolutely brilliant! I love a great second chance, later in life story. Red and Emily's journey is just that! This book is completely consuming from start to finish and is hanging with me long after it's over. It goes without saying I love the characters of Queen's Wraith and the addition of Emily, Ford and Poppy is a fantastic extension of this family. Igniting Red's Flame, for me, is right up there with Noni's book, and that's definitely high praise!

Red and Emily are an older couple who find each other by accident and get another chance at love. The club isn't just about riding motorcycles and partying it's about family. Red has endured loss after loss and Emily had a crappy relationship, but when these two cross paths it changes both of their lives. I loved that Emily was open minded about his losses and how she handled it.

Being an "older" reader, I really enjoy a mature romance story-especially one thats a second chance at love. Red's story was perfectly all of that!!! Can't wait for more from this Queens Wraiths chapter! (Such a cool town name (dont you think, Debbie?!?!)

Red and Emily’s romance is one of my favorites. I adore a later in life romance and especially when Michelle’s writes them. And let’s just say that Deck “Red” Ivor has no problem satisfying Emily at his age. I’d rate it ten stars if I could.

Red and Emily get a 2nd chance at happiness after losing loved ones.
I suggest you read Michelle’s book Emergence before this as it will give you a lot of back story around these characters.

The Author once again hit in out of the park! Love getting back to the Queens Wraiths US chapter. What a beautiful later in life romance featuring Red and Emily with POVs from the past and present!
