I briefly read this book years (and years) ago. Due to some unknown reason I cannot even remember, I never did get to complete this book. Not entirely sure whether it was because I left the book at the climax or just the unsatisfaction of leaving such a brilliant story suspended in time, this book has always been at the back of my time. Haunting me, almost demanding a completion. Without a title or the author's name it was truly difficult to track it down. But since the story and its character were so fetching, I finally managed to locate it in a secluded corner of the internet (thank god!).
And the reward has been very sweet. The story is so different, so special, so sweet. It may be my nostalgia talking but I found even the characters adorable and unconventional.
What can I say? If it haunts you for years and the ending still satisfies you, it must be one very special book. I hope you give it a try.
