Journey Through the Dark is a story of a girl named Beth who is being consumed by her darkness. She embarks on a fairytale like journey that helps her to remember who she is and forces her to choose the light versus the dark that is within her. Beth will encounter many memories of her past as she faces several challenges on her quest to go home.
I really enjoyed getting to read this, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed about the concept. The characters had that feel that I was expecting and enjoyed from this type of book. Erin Cuellar has a strong writing style and was glad I got to read this.

It sounds like Beth’s journey is a heavy hitter! That "fairytale but dark" vibe is a classic for a reason—it’s the perfect lens for exploring mental health and identity.
