As far as a short story goes I feel this is one of my best pieces of work I have written to date. Outside of my comfort zone of writing in the dark fantasy genre, it is one of the many stories that has floated around in my head waiting to be told.

Great short read. Very touching and I'm glad tissues were within an easy reach. I definitely needed them.
