When Ron dies during the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry blames Hermione for his death. Filled with grief and desperate for peace Hermione flees to the Muggle World to live in exile. Four years later, the last person she ever wanted to see again from the Wizarding World walks into her bookshop: Draco Malfoy. Due to the dwindling birth rates in the Magical World the Ministry has implemented a Marriage Law and to their absolute horror they've been matched. Though the motives for their match from the powers that be seems more like it was meant to punish the pair than to contribute to the Wizarding World. Together, they find healing and comfort from their painful past as they try to move forward and realize that sometimes the best revenge is a happy life.
This was a unique storyline. Interesting to see Hermione go off the grid & Draco has to find her, and then see how their marriage ends up being amazing which made the ministry and people angry.
The Harry plot was crazyyyyy and I did NOT see his crash out coming. It was sad to see him toward the end, but the plot of it all was crazy.
I loved that they developed a friendship first and had the chance to get to know one another first, then get married. It was kind of enemies to lovers? But more strangers to lovers?
Overall great!

A delightful, post-Hogwarts treat that feels like a warm cup of tea on a rainy day.
A world that’s both familiar and refreshingly light, Don't Hex the Messenger is filled with just the right amount of magic, mischief, and heart. The characters are charming, the banter is top-tier, and the plot—while not overly complex—flows with a cozy, feel-good rhythm that made me kick my feet in happiness more than once.
It’s the kind of story that doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel but instead gives you exactly what you didn’t know you needed: a fluffy, magical escape with a satisfying emotional payoff. One star off only because I would’ve loved a bit more depth or tension in the middle—but honestly, that’s just me being greedy.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a sweet, magical read that leaves you smiling.
This is one of the most wholesome Dramaione fics I’ve read. The events in this story unfolded beautifully, I am pretty impressed with how the author handled each character and managed to bring closure to a heartfelt story. I don’t want to give much away, but I did shed a tear by the end. Also I practically devoured this in a day, so definitely good to cure a reading slump. 🥹
I do want to mention the fic deals with certain sensitive topics, but everything is mentioned in the tw.

this started of really promising and i thought the romance between the two would intense, angsty and a long journey considering everything hermione went through but even after 400 pages it felt like she tramua bonded to him and it was all very fast paced.
