22 year-old University of Florida 3rd year Law Student, Kelsey Aimes has been betrayed by her best friend, Tracy and has decided to venture out of her comfort zone of Gainesville, Florida to the big city of New York in order to get revenge.
However, in the midst of pursuing her revenge she discovers there is so much more to life once she meets up with Swedish Prince, Stephen Lyons.
Stephen is good friends with Kelsey's brothers, she finds out during the course of also uncovering it is Stephen's company, she has traveled to New York to work as an apprentice in.
Before she can start her apprenticeship she is ingratiated into Prince Stephen's seductive world of 'ROYALS,' that includes privilege, intrigue, opulence and a wanton indecency that draws all women in, but not Kelsey –because she is on a mission of seduction that won't allow her to be party to the crazy obsession and fascination that all women have with Stephen.
Kelsey stirs within Stephen a desire to have her as no woman has ever before ignited. But in order to have Kelsey, Stephen must meet her on her terms because she has nothing left to lose… Her heart is broken and all that remains inside of her is a burning lust that breaks down all of Stephen’s walls as he allows her to break every one of his long held rules.
Kelsey has long ceased believing in fairy tales, but with HRH Prince Stephen Lyons under her command, her fairytale just might come true.
I was born in Spain and grew up mostly in Europe. My father was in the USAF, which I just love. He was a broadcast journalist in the USAF!
I went to the University of Florida- Go Gators! Hence my book GATOR GIRLS (GO AND GET AT AMAZON BOOKS)
I work as a Financial Analyst and write on the side, but I like to believe it is the other way around because I am always writing stories in my head all day long.
I love my life and think that each day I am blessed more and more.
I do have inner demons that I unleash inside of my books.
I want to live a Norman Rockefeller type of life in Mayberry and watch re-runs of Donna Reed and I Love Lucy all day.
I love working because it gives me creativity and balance.
Finance is one of the most difficult jobs in the world because you constantly have to tell people bad news about money and basically nobody wants to hear bad news when it comes to money. They only want money to rain from the sky daily and the funnel to never turn off.
I work extremely hard and not for the money. I play extremely hard and that is why I work hard.
I LOVE DISNEY WORLD! It is absolutely my favorite place to be... I would live there if I could afford it and I pray that one day can afford it because I am moving in and I will never leave.
I don't really know what I just read. What I can parcel together is coming in like a techno-color trainwreck and I just can't seem to look away. This book has left a very strong compulsion upon me to read the next book and I am quite powerless to resist. I am hopeful that those fuzzy details that aren't aligning just yet will come in clearer so I can get a better handle on what the hell is going on with these fucked up people. I can't really say if this good or bad, but a few times it left me wanting to rock myself in the fetal position in the corner with the lights out and a blanket over my head. Wish me luck...
I LOVED the first 5 books but then it just started getting repetitive! the last two books I really didn't like because they turn sifi which sort of ruined it for me! :/ she should have just stopped at 4-5 because then it would have made it one of the best series ever!!
Awful, awful, awful h! She was so terrible. The story was so ott. Everyone in this story was a cheater. The h came across as a bi%ch. She moved to NY with the sole purpose of sleeping with her bf's husband while living in their house. The husband, Michael, was such a douchebag, I dont know why the h was in love with him. He admits that he's in love with his wife but also tells the h he loves her and wants to have an affair with her. One moment he is kissing and feeling up the h the next he's making love to his wife. The h was such a sl%t, one moment she was physical with Michael, the next with the H. She was also lusting after the H's brother-in-law. The h's brother was trying to cheat on his wife with the H's sister. The H was trying to cheat on his girlfriend with the h. This book was an utter mess.
Best Series Ever!!! Kelsey headlines as this amazing series begins!!! She has a pure naievity and a genuine heart and she has been in love with one of her brothers friends since she was young!! Then she meets Steven Lyons HRH and he blows her mind and begins to change her world... Was unable to put this down epic writing
This series is a rollercoaster. You will think you know but you have no idea. There's a ton of drama. Somethings may be unrealistic but I have felt for these characters. I have loved and hated them.. I highly recommend giving this series a chance. It is now one of my all time favorites! :)
It is a rollercoaster of fun that begins in the parking lot, getting out of the car and ends with a thrilling ride that will blow your mind. It has lots of cray-cray and drama suspended in the world of Royals.
Kelsey uses profanity ALOT and the story is told from her point of view, so be forewarned.
Kelsey is lured by the chance at revenge from her small town of Gainesville, Florida when her best friend Tracy betrays her in one of the worst ways possible. At first Kelsey takes it all in stride and never says a word to Tracy about her hurt feelings… until Kelsey’s father makes her an offer that she can’t and won’t refuse.
Kelsey moves to the biggest little city in the world - New York City under the guise of a placement in a highly coveted apprenticeship and she moves in with Tracy - that in itself is full of drama, but there is much more on the horizon. Kelsey really needs her big girl panties, because no one and nothing is as it seems especially Kelsey’s two brothers- Teddy and Philip.
She has been estranged from her brothers because they attended boarding school in England most of her life at the insistence of her British born father. Now being reacquainted back into their lives is an adventure of sex-crazed intrigue and drama, drama, drama!
Then enters HRH Prince Stephen Lyons into Kelsey's tumultuous life to further turn everything topsy-turvy! He is a good friend of her brothers and from his and Kelsey’s first encounter into her life; he totally takes over and is in complete command. He is alpha everything and everyone bends to do his bidding, but not Kelsey... She refuses to be suckered in by Stephen. But continuing to fight against Stephen’s heavy pursuit of her may be more difficult than she thought.
This is a romance built around the drama of the royals of society. Oh, you will want to be Royal when you discover how they live dripping in wealth and wielding their power -It is just as natural as breathing for them.
It is intriguing and nothing goes as you would think as everyone has something to hide, something they want, and an overall hidden agenda. Everyone wants to be first in line!
Trust nothing and read with an open mind to go places that you never have before - Become Royal in Gator Girl: The Royal Seduction- Book 1 and then there is Book 2!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Written in the first person, with hashtag/text type interjections about how Kelsey really feels about a situation alongside the soundtrack in her mind, this story immediately draws you in. I sympathised with Kelsey straight away while the train wreck that is about to change her life unfolded.
You can’t quite believe what some of the characters are capable of doing and how they act, but like a good episode of Dynasty you carry on enthralled waiting to find out what on earth is going to happen next. I wasn’t disappointed.
If you’re looking for a hearts and flowers romance then this isn’t it. It’s a page turner where you’re never actually totally sure which man, if either, she’ll choose. This is the first book in a series, and I’m definitely going to continue on.
I loved and hated this series in equal measure. It got me hooked from the very beginning. I love all of the characters in the book, even the ones I despised because they were all so human. They each had flaws and made so many mistakes. Stephen and Kelsey both frustrated me to no end with the way that they hurt each other repeatedly. There were so many times that I wanted to just stop reading in frustration, but I picked it back up every time because I had to see if they got their fairytale ending. I love that all of the other characters were so much a part of the storyline as well. My only complaint is that the series was a little drawn out and the twist at the end almost seems rushed to be explained. The editing is not great but easy to overlook with such an engrossing story.
I have to say that at first I was getting so involved in the book. There were a couple chapters that I got confused in but I'm sure that as I keep reading the series I will have it all figured out. The author draws you into the book with her unique writing. All the emotions that go thru the book make it seem real. The chemistry is hot. This is not your average romance story.
I couldn’t make it far at all in this one which sucks because the premise and blurb sounded so juicy and drama filled.
But..
The writing is AWFUL. Like I’m talking almost unreadable awful. This feels like it was written by a high school writing amateur and on top of it the author needs an editor in a bad way.
This is really saying something because I don’t think I’ve ever quit reading a book before because of the bad writing and editing... ever. I’m not that kind of reader, I usually don’t care at all, so the fact it bothered me this bad is saying something.
My, my...From the very beginning of this book Kelsey annoyed the neck out of me! Her life is a never ending soap opera where love is a mockery and the rich and famous have no qualms about their morals or sleeping with the enemy. Well except for the virginal Kelsey, in love with her bff's husband and moaning and groaning over how and when to seduce him. I can not get over the things that befall her and the hot mess her life is in. And then it all ends with a cliffhanger? Oh gee. Not for long I hope!
Very unconventional. The character drama is intense. The backstabbing and getting pregnant in the name of love on Tracy and Jacqueline 's part is so old school it is unreal. Also weird are the little #comments. For a person so smart, Nora is incredibly naive. Lies are predominant in this story. This story gives me a headache!
Everyone one is a liar ! i thought Kelsey was mentally ill. I was going crazy, but I kept reading and it just got more confusing. All the characters are some kind of nuts!
The weirdest story I have every read. You wonder who would put up with so much debauchery. I love books 1-5 . i had to stay on the roller coaster and see where it took me next. I wish she would have ended the live story at book 5 but i loved the endings.
This series is a rollercoaster. You will think you know but you have no idea. There's a ton of drama. Somethings may be unrealistic but I have felt for these characters. I have loved and hated them... I highly recommend giving this series a chance.
Title: The Royal Seduction Author: Kari Nelson Edition: Current Publisher: Amazon Digital Services LLC Source: Gifted from the author for an honest review
Before reading The Royal Seduction, I don’t think that I’ve read books that had so much going on. I finished it in two evenings because it was a really easy read once I got past the ‘intro.’ I would say this, that if the author ever has a new edition out with this story and takes out Kelsey’s cursing, the intro, hashtags, and the song lyrics, this novel would be a solid 5.0 stars. Kari is a fantastic storyteller and I believe that she does not need those things to show Kelsey’s journey.
For a long time, I thought that I was stupid to tell you the truth about the novel. I was like: Am I missing something? Where’s the paranormal aspect? I ended up visiting the amazon book page once more and rereading the synopsis. I think this book would be liked more by the readers if the synopsis did not talk about the series, but of the first book. I wouldn’t have expected to see paranormal activity on and off in the chapters. Kari, let your readers know that this is a series, but let them find out on their own certain things. ^_^
Kari Nelson has a twenty-two year old woman by the name of Kelsey, go to New York, first against her will… until she finds out that she would be living with the love of her life, Michael, who is married to her backstabbing friend. Kelsey is totally nuts for Michael when she should really be thinking about Stephen or that guy in the elevator. Things turn crazy after her father comes to visit and they have dinner with the Royals. She is swept into a world that she is not used to and yet she’s really open about it. I was surprised at how open she was with Stephen. She hardly knew him and the things that she allowed him to do to her or her to him, certainly go against many things, though I admit, fall under royal seduction category ;)
The story was well told, though at times it’s missing periods. Kari keeps the story to a solid character count who are relevant to the story line which helped easy remember who is who because all of the characters are different. That was very nice. Another fantastic aspect of the story is that the author knows what she knows in real life and writes about - I’m talking of course about Kelsey being a Gator girl. It made me smile. Well done!
However, I think that there are areas that can be improved. I believe that information would have been good to know a little bit earlier, even though it is a series. Book 1 felt like a true romance novel without the paranormal which I hardly ever read. I love reading paranormal romance and I tend to stay away from pure romance. More hints would have been nice because I saw some hints but I don’t think they screamed paranormal… just rich. Also, the synopsis talks about her being part angel but it isn't mentioned in the first novel... and I have been waiting for her to find out.
Overall, it was pleasure to read this book. I would recommend to anyone to read it, as long as they are okay with adult scenes, cursing, and having to read 7 more books because no matter what your feelings about Kelsey, you would probably want to read the rest of the series.
Warning: Leaves you on a cliffhanger... but since it's a series, it's understandable. My Rating : 3.7 Stars
My grandparents moved to Gainesville in the 60's and I was born and raised there until I was 13. Then we moved to Destin but most of my family is still there. Gainesville was once this small town community that students just happen to be around but it is far from that now!! However, I did enjoy the Publix references because come on, there is no other grocery store, just bad knock offs. But about the book, I wanted to slap every single character. I honestly hate them all and I think they are all psychopaths. And yet....I CAN'T STOP READING THIS NONSENSE!!!!
I left my review on Book 8. However I want to post that if reading this series be WARNED. Your kindle will require a protective cover. Also the drama is so addicting you will neglect everything around you because you want to read from beginning to end. You have been warned. I am not telling you anything more because I want everyone to go through the same emotional rollercoaster/hurricane/insanity this writer just took me through. GREAT SERIES!
Not too sure about this series...on book one of eight and I'm going mad. Is it some weird espionage? Royals as in kings and queens ... I feel like a murder mystery plot is right around the corner. I'm not sure if I like it, and I like that at the same time that I'm annoyed about it. I feel as wishy washy as Kelsey. Who, BTW...needs to run the hell away from this madness! Lol
