The thieves who stole your heart have painted themselves into a corner...

For half a decade Sheni’s been exiled from New Terra for sneaking aboard an Ark ship without a ticket. Now he wants to come home, but reams of bureaucratic red tape mean it’ll take years for his citizenship application to be approved – or denied.

So when a UEC shuttle carrying one of Earth’s rarest paintings goes missing, Sheni spots his chance to get back in humanity’s good books. If there’s anyone perfectly suited to hunting down stolen relics, it’s an ex-pirate. Unfortunately, the trail leads him to some of the most dangerous groups in the galaxy – Black Rock Raiders, Dread Pirate Queens, and over-ambitious tech companies – none of whom are exactly eager to hand over the artwork.

In order to prove he’s more than a petty criminal, Sheni and the crew of the Silver Hart will have to pull off their most audacious heist yet…

Fans of Terry Pratchett and Becky Chambers will love this page-turning conclusion to the Shadows in the Stars series. Expect explosive action and sharp-tongued anti-heroes in a Sci-Fi universe rich with imagination.

What a fantastically funny and brilliantly thought out series! once again sad to see the end of some loved characters stories.

I'll miss you Alan! 😅

Sheni and the crew return to their pirate roots, but this time for a "good" reason. They're after Earth treasure stolen from the UEC to try and get Sheni's exile revoked.

Once again it's laugh out loud funny, full of action.

I seriously believe the Dark Star Panorama is the best thing to happen to scifi in a long time.

Can't wait to see what's next!

Righteous Reclaimers!

A rip-roaring fun ending to a wonderful series.

I have so very much enjoyed reading the escapades of Sheni, Gecki, Xotl and the inimitable Alan. I am hoping that we will hear more about them sometime, even if it is a tale not dedicated fully to them.

The crew have surpassed expectations again and again in this tale. They face pirates, a queen, the Ministerium and Earth but not as we know it, Jim.

Excellent work by the author and my thanks to him.

I really enjoyed Sheni and Gecki and the crew's last adventure. Am sad that its ending. Sheni wants to go to New Terra but he needs citizenship and its not likely he's going to get it until he hears about Earth's stolen historic artwork and decides he's going to help find it. The last book doesn't disappoint and ends the series well

As with his other books, very enjoyable and entertaining read.

I like to get something from the books I read and this one made me think a bit. How we push ourselves towards "something", practically killing ourselves to get to whatever that goal is. We rarely have the ability to step back and ask ourselves, is this actually an end game choice that we want or, is it something we are made to feel we should want but really don't? Interesting to think about.

I would like to say that I have enjoyed this series but am glad the writer wrapped it up. The books were becoming, not quite predictable but, it was guaranteed to be an adventure started from what I felt was a stupid decision (usually Sheni's) from one of the crew. Decisions that the rest of the crew warned and complained about the entire time as they got into and out of each dangerous scrape.

Sometimes I hate to see a series come to its end but I think this was a perfect ending for Sheni, Gacki, Xotl and adorable Alan with his spaghetti arms and favorite little red wrench.

A good ending to an enjoyable series - we'll miss you Alan! I have to admit there were several 'oh no!' moments as I'm so invested with these characters now. I disagree with Sheni being French though lol.
