When a grumpy billionaire with a PR problem meets a sunny chaos queen with a heart of gold, who's really the one in need of saving?I’m Damien Langley—billionaire, control freak, and, according to the press, a heartless corporate monster.
After one out-of-context quote torches my reputation and puts an important client account in jeopardy, my board forces me into PR smile for the cameras, volunteer at a feel-good charity, pretend to be human.
Enter Willow Harper.
She runs Silver Hearts, a senior care organization held together by optimism, duct tape, and sheer determination. She’s sunshine in human form, my polar opposite—and somehow makes me want to stay even after the cameras stop rolling.
What starts as damage control spirals into something burger dive dates, emergency kitchen repairs, and a kiss that hits harder than it should.
She doesn’t fit into my world… but suddenly, my world doesn’t work without her.
Too bad I’m also locked in a secret million-dollar bet with five of my billionaire buddies.
Stay single. No falling in love. Winner takes all.
And Willow?
One more night with her in my bed and I’ll lose the bet, the client account, and the heart I swore I didn’t have.

The entire plot is blatantly obvious in Chapter 1. Damien battles a hostile board as they try to buy out some 'helpless homeowners' for their building project. "They should be happy to give up their homes for this project."
We meet Willow in Chapter 2. She runs Silver Hearts, a struggling non-profit who feeds and takes care of these elderly people. One of these sweet elderly people says "You need a good man", why haven't you settled down yet, etc. She will meet the grumpy billionaire who is trying to evict his elderly tenants because his board forces him to volunteer with them to help his image.
Goshhhhhh - idk what it was about this book but I really really did not enjoy it. I try to keep the frame of mind that no book I read is a waste of time (even if I don't like it) because you just never know until the end...but this? I can imagine why this is rated the way it is as there are some aspects of the story that are sweet but sadly. not a highly rated book / enjoyable read for me.
Fast paced book. Ahhh. The power of attraction and love. Definitely recommend this book and the author. Question. Willow works all of the time and All of her animals. Who takes them out to go potty?
This is the first book in the Last Billionaire Standing Series where six Manhattan bachelor billionaire’s bet on who will be the last one to tie the knot. This is Damien and Willow’s story and it’s a great start to the series. A romantic comedy with a grump billionaire bachelor who falls hard in this slow burn romance. A cute read with likable characters and a fun story line. I read a free advance copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
