Rate this book
What if your life looks successful on the outside but feels misaligned on the inside? A Life Keys to Transform Your Work and Life is a practical and inspiring guide for professionals, leaders, and high achievers who are ready to stop settling and start living in sync with what truly matters. Through relatable stories, actionable insights, and powerful reflection prompts, TyAnn Osborn offers a roadmap for spotting misalignment, reconnecting with your strengths, and making small shifts that lead to big transformation. You will learn how to read emotional signals as information instead of shame, make energy-based decisions rather than obligation-based ones, realign your work and life with your core values and natural talents, and reclaim clarity, confidence, and joy without blowing up everything you have built. You do not need a complete reinvention to feel like yourself again; you just need the tools-and the permission-to realign. If you are ready to stop pushing and start flowing, A Life Aligned will help you chart a new course toward work and life that actually fit. This is your invitation to come home to yourself.

Wow. This book really hit home.

In A Life Aligned, TyAnn Osborn takes the reader on a journey—both hers and our own—through thoughtful reflection, practical tools, and honest personal storytelling. Even a seasoned consultant, coach, or leader will find a great deal of value in this book.

The subtitle says it well: Keys to Transform Your Work and Life. TyAnn presents 12 “keys” as a framework for reconnecting with the sparks of joy, confidence, strengths, values, and purpose that can guide us toward a more intentional life.

What makes the book especially powerful is TyAnn’s willingness to share her own journey through the corporate world, into entrepreneurship, and through the joys, struggles, inner doubts, and successes that came with it. The result is both personal and professional—and deeply vulnerable.

As a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach myself, I appreciated how much I learned from this book. I walked away with practical steps I can use personally, as well as ideas and language I can bring into my own work with clients.

This book could be valuable for business development, strategic planning, leadership reflection, or any season of life where you find yourself at an inflection point. I can easily see myself using it with clients who are trying to better align their values, passion, strengths, and purpose.

My biggest takeaway was the final key: boundaries. TyAnn frames boundaries not as something to debate or defend, but as a source of clarity—for others and for ourselves. That insight alone is worth sitting with.

I highly recommend A Life Aligned to anyone who is soul-searching, hearing “whispers,” navigating transition, or simply wanting to become more intentional about where they are taking their work and life.

I received a print copy of this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. I honestly couldn’t put it down, I am a stay at home mom and the book still worked for me (a lot was focused on working outside the home). I plan on getting back in the workforce in a year or so and this book gave me helpful tips to align my life in a way that I discover what works for me and what doesn’t. I loved how it had prompts, activities and reflection exercises in almost every chapter.

The only reason I gave it a lower star rating is the links to get the pdf worksheets didn’t work and a QR code in the book also didn’t work.

I really enjoy the personable tone of this book, I feel like Tyann is having a conversation with me. That makes this book so easy to read and engaging. The methods aren't some total tear down renovation on your life, the keys are slight adjustments. Those adjustments serve to align your life and achieve joy. This book was a joy to read, thought provoking and I find myself implementing her advice. So if you feel your life is a little off and you need more joy, do yourself a favor and pick this up today.
