I picked this up with the intent that it would be a weightless "guilty pleasure" read, but it just didn't hit the spot.
The whole "Twinkie" thing was tired and I get sick of the heroine having to pull other women off her man and that making her badass.
If another woman was crawling all over my man and he didn't shove her off after claiming supposed exclusivity with me? He wouldn't be worth the effort and I'd just leave. Because, fuck that.
And as for the "Twinkie?" That's kind of her role in the fucking club and I'm not gonna shake her down for it, especially if my supposed man doesn't tell her any differently and ask her to stop. They can have each other.
Other than that, this had enough spank bank potential for me to try book two. But only because it's available via KU.

This book really needed an editor. The sentences jump from past tense to present tense and it makes for a messy read. Not to mention all the spelling and other grammar errors. Usually I can deal but this was really bad.
I also did not like the heroine. In the beginning I thought she was funny but her whole " bad Nicole" thing sounded a bit too much KA to me... And nobody does Kristen Ashley like Kristen Ashley herself.
I also think that the heroine was a bad bff. I mean she begins the book bragging about how her best friend Dani has always had her back and how they are finally moving out of their home town together to start out new. But then she meets a biker falls in love within almost a day and mostly forgets about her best friend. I hate women like that!! Sure Dani made a mistake in trusting someone..but damn...Nicole just left her friend hanging over a dude she just met.
Way too insta-lovey for me and I really need a cooler heroine. Maybe dani's book will be better. I have hope this series will get better with each book... We shall see.

This book was recommended to me from a friend on here, thank god for that because otherwise I would've missed an awesome book..
I LOVED this!! Totally different to any biker book I have read!! It was gritty and raw, and scorching hot in others, and in places so so funny..Plus Iloved how both characters were of age..
I loved Nicole and Bad Nicole!! Usually I've read where it's the male character that has no filter, this girl here is soooo bang on with her comments it's hilarious, they just fed off each other!!
Plus I have never encountered the word "Twinkies" in relation to club bunnies lol
Mama *inserts melted heart here* if you're trying to mold me into this perfect f*cking boyfriend, that's not who I am. I'm dark, I'm jaded and I like my sex dirty. I'm not going to say I'm sorry for being who I am. I like who I am baby. I ain't changing for no f*cking body.

Dragon was 36 years old, his dark skin was marred with scars and tattoos, had never been on a date, doesn't know the meaning or what it feels like to be in love, but when he does get a taste of all of that with Nicole he's gone.
I'm not shiny and new Nicole. I've f*ucking been around the block. I've got scratches and dents and a lot of f*cking miles. I'm a classic and not just anyone can handle me. I'm not about to make apologies for that shit.

I can't remember when I read a book that drew me in quite like this book did. This is the kind of MC Romance that people crave. It has it all. Sexy alpha male and a strong female lead that makes him work for it. Dragon is broken, and I loved watching him find his way with Nicole. I was hooked after reading the first few pages! You will not be disappointed. Buy the book, and prepare to have your mind blown!!

This is the break out novel by author Jordan Marie in her series the Savage Brothers MC. Ms. Marie tells the incredible story of two opposites that find out they cannot live without the each other.
Nicole had been raised in the lap of luxury but by parents that were as cold as ice. While Nicole received every material thing a girl could want she did not feel the love all children need from her parental units. When she graduated from high school life changed for Nicole. She left behind the cold, loveless home of her parents and moved in with her best friend, Dani. The girls worked to save up enough money so that they could leave their hometown behind and start a new life. Everything is going according to plan until Nicole meets tall, dark and handsome. She knows that there is something different about this bad boy biker but refuses to be one of his club’s Twinkies! Will Nicole be able to resist or will she succumb?
When Dragon the Prez of the Savage Brothers MC finds himself in the presence of a barefoot hot mama, he has no idea how to handle her. Thinking that he will make her a club Twinkie and get her out of his system has the two of them in a face off. I was given an unedited ARC copy of this book, and I want to give my honest review as someone who has read this ....
I Loved it from start to finish!
Nicole and her best friend finally get to make the move in their lives that they always hoped for. The decision to make a detour on the last stretch to their new home, changes their life in a huge way.
From the first time Nicole and Dragon lay eyes on each other, you feel the sparks fly back and forth between them.
Nicole is sassy,with a strong backbone,and she holds herself against every attempt Dragon makes to get under her skin...
Dragon has a reputation to stand up to, as the President he can't show his men the weakness she causes him. His past, and his life style, has him trying to keep her at arms length. But the chemistry is just to strong and keeps drawing them both back in.
The banter between them had me laughing, and neither of them were afraid to say what was on their mind. Throw into the mix her best friends opinions and Dragon has a battle on his hands..
When trouble really arises...
who will be strong enough to make it through alive ???
I recommend this book, and as a Debut, Jordan Marie has created a great start to her new series... I look forward to #2.. ***** 5 stars*****

Ricky Whittle is one fine piece of man candy :D
The novel Breaking Dragon is you're run of the mill biker novel. If you enjoy MC novels then you'll probably enjoy this one but otherwise it doesn't bring anything to the table except hot sex :P

Ohh...I forgot to add that the way he kept calling her Mama was just bleahhh. They where one step fron her calling him Daddy and starting in a bad porn.

4.25 RATING- Breaking Dragon is a prime example of the guilty pleasure type book I just can't help but love. It pulled me in from the beginning and kept me interested with steamy bits and dirty talk throughout. Is it worthy of five stars? Nope. Probably not even worthy of four stars for those that are looking for a "quality" read. But for me, this was a fun sexy read that had me highlighting my kindle all night long. This book definitely couldn't go head to head with a Fanetti or Sheehan in terms of story development or overall writing, but it's still probably one of my favorite MC reads of the year. Definitely rates high on the readability and enjoyment scale for me. Pure Guilt =)

I have been on a roll with these MC reads lately, and Breaking Dragon didn't disappoint. It was unique and yet familiar in a good way. Nicole is awesome, she is strong willed and won't put up with crap that Dragon want's to dish. She puts him in his place and he doesn't quite know what to think of it all. He lets her push a little but he is definitely all alpha male,lol. They have plenty of chemistry and are great together.
Now for the things that bothered me somewhat I wanted a little more back story for Nicole we do get some, I just wanted more. Also the feel/voice of Nicole for the first few chapters was off for me didn't sound like the way she would sound. This fixes as the story goes on.
All in all I really enjoyed it!

Nicole, sweet, sassy, honest, she swoops in and makes Dragon start to think about his life, and what he really wants out of it.

Upon reread I remember how much I love this couple!!!
This was totally unexpected for me, but I really liked this story. I liked the characters and the plot and felt the drama was good for the story. I recommend!

I didn't know what to expect since I haven't had much luck lately finding a good MC book.
And this one surprised me in such a good way! I loved it!!!
Nicole leaves her small town behind to move to another one three hours away with her best friend with Dani her bff, when she runs into some bikers who mistake her for a twinkie.
Nicole, is strong, sexy, a plus size who own's it and even though in the beginning she was comparing herself to her gorgeous bff, you can see her grow in this book into her looks and her self esteem. Dragon worked magic on her.
Dragon, sexy, hit em and quit em type of guy, the president to the MC, owns the town sets his eyes on Nicole. However soon realizes she is not twinkie material, and it's lovely to see him from not giving an eff to Alpha in 2.5 seconds.
I can't wait to re-read it.

Where do I start? Dragon Detroit West doesn't do love and Nic comes into the picture and shakes his world up. I loved loved this one. I was swooning and grinning by 10%. Jordan Marie has definitely set the bar for the rest of my reads this year. The dialogue was fantastic. This book had a great mix of romance and club action. Could not put it down I had to read until I finished. My kindle was dying and all I could do was pray please let me finish before you die ha ha ( my kindle) I won't spoil anything ever if I can help it. If you love MC books then definitely pick this one up, you won't be sorry you will love it! Dragon has earned himself a spot on my bookhusband shelf!

Nicole is ready to hightail it out of dodge and move on with her life. There is no love loss between her and her parents and all she wants to do is live her life. What better way than moving to a new town with her bestie, Dani? They've been saving and found the perfect place. New city, new life, new experiences...especially with the tall, dark and sexy as hell biker, Dragon. That man sets her on fire but she knows his type. She has been down that road before and isn't looking to go there again. But he is SO tempting....
Dragon is the Savage Brothers MC President and is content with his life. He's a use 'em and leave 'em kinda guy. He has all he needs, Twinkies and the Brotherhood of his club. But one chance encounter has him thinking that just maybe he needs more...but his past is holding him back. He finds himself drawn to Nicole in a way that he has never felt before but can he let Nicole in or will he let his past define him?

Oh, Hell where do I start? I just finished reading Breaking Dragon by author Jordan Marie and I have to tell you that this was my first "MC" book that I have ever read! I am so extremely surprised and so damn happy that I took a chance on a debut author and a new genre at the same time!
Wow! I was totally blown away by the story of Dragon and Nicole! Total opposites; totally perfect! I was skeptical at first but was quickly pulled into the fantastic story and I read it in one day. I couldn't put it down! This story is captivating and did not bog down in any way!
I loved the suspense, the grit, the STEAM and story so much that I want MORE NOW!
This is why I blog! This is a perfect example of the undiscovered talent that is just waiting to be found!

I was given this unedited version of this..... and oh my gosh!!!! this mc book is one of the best I have read. I don't normally do the reviews because I can't Always express what I think in the right words. Jordan nailed this book. leaves you with the warm and fuzzies and wanting more more more. it leaves you wanting more of dragon and Nicole as well as the rest of the guys. and the intro to Dancer...... breathe less. Jordan Marie couldn't put it down. it has it all lady!!!!

i swear i wanted to love this book... i wanted to so much because, come on, its a biker book and the prez is chocolate (something i have never EVER seen in any biker book)..unfortunately, i was left underwhelmed. i felt like the two MC's didn't get to know each other..the relationship development didn't take-off.. i can't put my finger on it, but something was definitely missing;)

Wow,what a brilliant MC BOOK !!
I love it when you stumble across something you weren't waiting for ...
This is a debut novel and the Author has done an excellent job here.
It might seem as though it's a sterotypical MC BOOK with,
Hot babass biker
Fiesty female
Club drama
Hot sex...
But I felt it just had an extra edge to it that set it apart, it's one of the best MC books I've read in a while.
It's very well written.flows really well and likeable, well developed characters
Dragon,dirty talking, crude,broody and of course, totally hot ( he's definitely up there as one of my favourite bikers )
Nicole, just loved her and her sassy mouth and her best friend,Dani was just hilarious
Looks like being a great series and next one next month, can't wait.
If you're an MC fan I would highly recommend !!

I was given an unedited copy of this book. This is the first review I have written.
I loved it. It has everything you are looking for in an Mc book. Threw out the whole book it held my attention. I could not put it down. It is a very brilliant read. Jordan Marie I can not wait for more in this series.

If you like MC romances you will surely like this one.
The hero is president of a MC, he has his past baggage as usually these kind of men have.
He meets the heroine and falls insta lust with her.
She works for one of his bar, and at first he offers her to be one of his club w***es.
Of course the heroine is furious, she's a nice good girl and doesn't do this kind of things, and is also furious because he seems willing to share her with his brothers.
But after a couple of hours the hero realizes he's a lil bit jealous of her and he won't be sharing her with nobody else.
He doesn't take much time for them to copulate and from that moment not much happens between them.
Yes, he's not very romantic and poetic, but he's possessive and committed to her, actually he hasn't been with anyone else since they met, and hasn't wanted anyone else, which is very rare for this kind of romances. Usually heroes are with many women even after they've been with the heroine, but this hero won't do it. I appreciated it, it didn't make him weak or less a man, just the opposite because if a man is lead around by his cock actually it does mean he's not strong at all...
There's also some MC drama because there's someone who wants to damage the hero and so be warned there are scene of torture and beating (not on the H/h) and if you're sensitive this may be a trigger.
The heroine has a friend, a woman with a traumatic past and when she finds out the hero is also a cruel man she tries to "save" the heroine from him, since she was in an abusive relationship and thinks the hero is exactly that kind of man. Sadly the men who tries to "help" her are those who wants to damage the hero and are willing to kill the heroine to hurt him.
I know many reviewers hated the heroine's friend for this, but since the young woman was previously a victim of an abusive husband, for years, it's very understandable that she thinks the hero is the same, after seeing the pictures of him torturing another man. It's reasonable.
Sadly the heroine is hurt very badly and risks her life but things are ok in the end and she and the hero marry.
This book has many scene of violence and the hero is not a black or white kind of man, he's got a shady past, and his methods of dealing with enemies are those of the mob. He's not a sweet and nice man, but what I appreciated most was that he was always committed to the heroine, without exception.
There's only a scene where one of his club "girls" approaches him and tries to seduce him and he's disgusted but too drunk to do anything, and it's the heroine who has to help him freeing from the woman. It was quite hilarious and I wasn't annoyed because I think it is a part of MC lifestyle to claim a man in a very public display. The hero was actually turned on by the heroine's claim on him. Really???
- I found the book quite easy and light without much angst.

Wow! What a phenomenal read. The story grabbed right off, loved the push and pull dynamics of the heroine. Some super good twist brought in and a real good ending.

I liked this book, from the second I saw this book I knew I had to read it. I LOVE BM/WW interracial books unfortunately good ones are few and faaaaaaaaar between. I love MC books, put these two together and this book was made for me. I loved how possessive the hero Dragon was and I liked the heroine, I know some had issues with her but I didn't and I think Dragon and Nicole were perfect together. I think the author did a great job of world building and setting up future books in this series really well, and I must say I was surprised when the traitor was revealed. Usually I can guess these things pretty easy but I didn't at all reading this book.
Nicole and her friend have finally saved up enough money to move from their small town and start over. When traveling to their new town Nicole stops to get gas and meets Dragon. What started and a very strong attraction on Nicole's side quickly crashes and burns when Dragon reveals himself as a player. What Nicole doesn't know is that their quick meeting has left a very lasting impression on Dragon and not only is the house she and her friend are renting own by Dragons MC but so is their new place of business.
Seeing Dragon all the time has made it hard to keep turning Dargon down, and though Dragon never intended to find and keep any woman because his life is too dangerous seeing and being around Nicole has Dragon changing all his ideas about what he wants in his future. When Nicole finally breaks down and gives Dragon a chance Dragon has every plan to keep Nicole till he is done with her but the longer they spend together the more clear it becomes to Dragon that he will be keeping Nicole forever.
As Nicole and Dragon are falling in love Dragon finds out that a brother is betraying the MC, the more he and the MC dig the more they find that it isn't only one brother who has turned his back on the MC. Keeping Nicole safe is all Dragon can think about so he brings her to the MC to do just that but when Nicole's friend calls Nicole and her friends life are put in danger by the brother who is betraying them, and Dragon will do anything to find the woman he loves and keep her safe while killing anyone who stands in his way.
As a person who loves BM/WW books I have read a lot of them and most unfortunately have themes to them that make the books painful to read, this book didn't have any of that it was a great book about a possessive hero who was the MC president and a woman searching for her future and change and they just happen to be an interracial couple and for that alone(and if you have read some of those horrible books I just talked about you know what I'm talking about ) I applaud Jordan Marie.
Dragon was a great hero who was possessive and demanding and a man who fell quick and hard for his woman. Nicole was a great heroine who I liked from the beginning. She knew when to be strong and she knew when to be smart. I read a lot of comments about Nicole's best friend many couldn't stand her, I didn't particularly like her but not to the point that I wanted to jump into the book and kill her. Yes I think she was stupid and made even stupider decisions but I think it was based on what happened in her past with her ex so I am hoping that when and if we get her book it will all make sense and we will see not only her growth but her growing up. This book is filled with future characters that we get to know and get glimpse of opening this series up to a long great new MC series that I am excited to see grown and to see what happens next.
*I read the sneak peak into book two and it is a book a have every intention of reading, and one I am really excited for.

Breaking Dragon is EVERYTHING you could ever want and more in a MC book. Going into an MC Romance, you know that it will never be all hearts and rainbows. Tough shit happens, cruel words are spat, and the main characters fight hardcore and end up having the best sex of their lives. It's HOT. It's DIRTY. It's SEXY AS HELL, and I can't get enough of it!
With a tough, sassy heroine you have in Nicole to a sexy badass biker hero who had me spittin' nails most of the time, this book left me satisfied in the best way possible. You will be hooked, I don't know what it is with these all-consuming, demanding, dirty-talkin' men that gets me hot and bothered, but I'll tell you what, I'll do anything that Dragon demands of me...ANYTHING! Because even though he talks the talk, and walks the walk, deep down, he does have a heart and he shows it with the simplest kiss on the forehead or just holding Nicole. He sees something in Nicole that he believes he doesn't deserve, but craves like his next breath.
This truly was a gritty, sexy, and emotional read with just the right amount of suspense poured in that your eyes will stay glued to the pages the whole way through. Loyalties are tested in this scorching journey full of traitors, murder, and sex. This debut book by Jordan Marie was well written, and I loved each and every character. I for one can truly say that I can't wait to see what's in store for this amazing author and the men of Savage MC.
