That is really the best way to describe Jeremy Stonehart. When he was Stonehart.
Is he that anymore? I don't know. As he reveals more and more of himself to me, I start to see a glimmer of the man beneath the surface. I start to understand, in some small way, that even evil comes from a source, from some initial seed that sprouted and took hold of a person's soul.
Evil is what Jeremy was. But is it what he will continue to be?
I will only find out by sticking to him until the very end. It is my only choice. It is my only option. It is the only way I will get answers, and the only way that I will get...
I live near beautiful Seattle, Washington. I grew up reading all types of fantasy books before discovering the wonderful world of romances in high school.

I'm giving this 2.5 stars. I was very disappointed. Besides the fact there is another book and still no light at the tunnel??! I didn't buy into the reasoning or the rationale for decisions that were made. Why he abducted her?! Why the turn around with his feelings if that's what you wanna call it. He never groveled. Just stated it and she was to move on. He obviously knew her well. Because she did. Some how she managed to convince herself his abduction actually saved her from her dreadful life. Who wants friends who support you when you can have a hot guy with lots of money rape you, starve you, make you eat your pet, shock you, rape you while your asleep, makes you watch the videos of you being raped, constantly reminds you of past transgressions with glee and lastly has your father locked up, drugged and constantly shocking him for pure joy. I absolutely forgot about the heroine being a test rat for the his new battery. He is a keeper. But I liked the book better when he was a monster and she was a heroine wanting to get away. I at least understood those dynamics. But the I love you and he rescued me theme is just wrong.
Sorry this is a major spoiler so quit now........................... When did people with disabilities and teased most of their young lives turn into sociopaths? Another writer did a similar theme but at least he stuck to his psychotic behavior he never waivers even in the end. But I won't lie when I say I noticed several situations that looked really similar to other books.

At first I was all over this series. It was dark, suspenseful, and even though the price was a little steep for the length, the story had me hooked so I kept coming back. We were initially promised one every three weeks. Between 4 and 5, that wait turned in to two months and between 5 and 6, 4 months. Still I was patient and tried to be understanding because Ms. Edwards explained the delay was because she wanted to provide quality (it was being edited, etc). REALLY? Because the numerous mistakes tell me otherwise. Tell me how she can "emphasis with him" (empathize maybe?) And that was just the start. Missing letters, missing words made several passages difficult to understand. That being said, we finally get some answers and the story is pretty good so I compromised and gave it three stars but I don't know if I'll continue, especially if the wait is another 4 months. She promised December but we've heard that before...
Hands down applauds are in order for talented Ms. Scarlett Edwards. Once again her books left me feeling overwhelmingly, ranting and raving and thoroughly... pissed off! So you know its a damn good read. Captivated from page one kinda OMFG good!! All throughout my status you could see the journey the author took me through. Notice I did my best not to spoil it for you. So onto the review. Warning will contain spoiler info....Spoiler alert...spoiler alert!!! How do you describe a living, breathing monster? Would you give him horns, scales and fangs? Maybe you'd age him with wrinkles or warts or some kind of bodily scarring. Or maybe....maybe You'd dress him up in the worlds finest tailored suits. Shower him with more wealth than Donald trump could ever spend. And make him so eloquently sexy and appealing, he'd give Ben Barnes and Hugh Jackman run for their modeling careers. Jeremy is all of those things and more. His mouth watering looks is nothing but a lie, right down to his pressed silken shirts. Then again everything is about maintaining appearance. (Lilly) I shudder and rub my arms. I said before that it was not the physical abuse that got to me. It was the mental assault. Can a man who makes a woman eat an animal she’d adopted as a pet really be capable of love? Can that same man ever be redeemable in that woman’s eyes? Here is a man that set out to destroy her because of her father's sins. Threatens the life of everyone Lilly holds dear and we're all expected to believe he has fallen head over heals in love with her. After he's kidnapped, raped and damn near killed her...bullshit. He's a sick pathological liar, he's still playing his evil games. For what purpose maybe to screw with her head some more, or maybe its more vindictive revenge. But no matter what, he's not through...Jeremy is to cleaver and cunning.
I hate to say it but I prefer the evil Jeremy Stonehart. Give me the sadistic evil one more than this tender caring one. After waiting so long for this book it finally gave us an answer as to why he abducted Lily and treated her the way he did. Now I feel he is trying to redeem himself because she has found out the truth. I hope Charles says a lot more and we get Rose to reveal her true self and why she acted the way she did. I thought this was the last book in the series till I came to the end and see more to come. So we have to sit this rollercoaster ride out and hope it will come soon. Should off waited for all the books to be out and then read in one go. Too drawn out.
I enjoyed the first book, but the following books got worse and worse since it was all so revolving doors. This book however at least gives us some answer as to "Why Lilly?" but the rest were more or less the same thing as the previous books. The big reveal was blah also. Major spoilers ahead.
Let me recap this book for you. Lilly is still comtemplating who Stonehart is as a person, he's softening up, she wants revenge, yada yada yada. The only thing that's new is why he chose Lilly. I'll save you the $$$ and hassle by telling you to skip this book.
At this point, I'm starting to think that the next book will be 90% fluff again and 10% new material. It's starting to get really repetitive and tedious now especially with no end in sight. Is scarlett edwards trying to reach $40 by stretching out more books of ONE STORY? The next book should be the last book. Period.
I'm a masochist, so I'll keep reading just to know what will happen to Lilly. At first, I loved it since I thought, "Yes finally a heroine who doesn't fall for the magic dick syndrome!" Fast forward to a few no progress books and the way Lilly is reacting now with Stockholm Syndrome, I'm not putting any hope in her revenge amounting to much. I had to roll my eyes when she thinks that he's rescued her from what would have been a boring life. I already know the ending. Let me guess? She'll be like Claire of the 'Consequences' book and forgive Stonehart. They're be married and live happily ever after after he suffers 5% of what he made her go through. Predictable, cliche, and boring. This book needs to end soon; it's becoming a money pit. (Even though I've borrowed it.) My time wasted reading however cannot be replaced, but I'm a masochist...so don't judge me.
Who am I kidding? I am so addicted to this story.....give it 5 stars!!! I don't like cliff hangers where I have to wait but I do love being in the dark as I read a novel and having to put all the pieces together just like the heroine does in this story....never quite knowing what is what.
The man who once abused her brutally both physically and mentally has been allowing more and more access to the outside world to his captured prisoner. Showing his trust and sharing more with her. Can he have really changed into a more caring and loving man? or is the real man, cruel and vindictive laying close to the surface? Playing an act, ready to pounce on Lilly.
Lilly is getting sucked in...and then remembers her father....she is not sure and clinging desperately to evidence of his depravity...remembering her plan....to gain his trust in order to crush him. It is the only way out. She knows if she runs he will chase after her...and even if he is arrested....they will end up in court and he has the money to hire the best lawyers...he will win.
And despite her fear....she wonders if she is succumbing to the Stockholm syndrome. Especially those moments when he is romantic, kind, tender and she wonders if there is a tiny moment where she feels something for him, toward him. She quickly snaps her mind into reality....remember who he is, what he has done.
Fey, her college best friend and her fiance have done some digging and found something very interesting about Jeremy...why he abducted her, what his plan has been all along.....and he is not denying it.
Can Book 7 come any faster? We must be close to the end of this series. How much more can you spread this out over? I will be there for book 7, eager to read and unable to put it down.
Great Read! Wonderfully detailed and clever story!!!

If you've been following this series, then you absolutely MUST read this 6th installment in Lilly and Jeremy's story. The lines between friend and enemy have blurred and emotions run high. Jeremy's increasingly tender demeanor is an unexpected development. His sudden change has Lilly conflicted about what she truly wants, his love or revenge.
Still a quick read, this installment is packed with information. Lilly has grown stronger and it seems that she is finally in a position to get the revenge that she longs for. The book ends in the mother of all cliffhangers, with the revelation of Jeremy's motives for abducting Lilly. With this new information finally brought to light, I'm dying to see where Lilly goes from here. Will she follow down the same path as Jeremy, consumed by her need for vengeance? Book 7 cannot get here quick enough! Loved it!
Dec 2018 reread - what an absolute mind fuck! ——— This series has really screwed with my head. In each previous book I wished for Jeremy to suffer a painful death, preferably at Lilly's hand. By the end of this book he'd shown remorse for everything and he finally granted her freedom. Even though this is what I wanted, I still don't know if I can forgive Jeremy. What worries me is that I want to.
Scarlett Edwards has created a character that I've both loved and hated. She's expertly manipulated all of my feelings time and again. I read the first 6 books within 24 hours. I desperately want to read the next part but it isn't released yet. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
!!!!!!!!!!!Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a long time. I am so happy with this book. I remember when I started it; first three books were amazing. They captivated me. The forth book was much less enjoyable, though book five get me back into excited journey of Jeremy and Lilly! Book six is great. It finally answered a lot of questions that I (and many other readers) were wondering about. I loved the changes that were made in personality of certain characters and their story;) I can't wait to read book seven!!! Author did an amazing job with this series!! Hope its coming out soon.
This series is so annoying. Who knew it was going to be upwards of 9 books according to the authors facebook page. And don't even get me started on the price of such short books and the "promise" from the author that the books would come out within weeks of each other....not months. I was under the impression that the reason for such a long time between books was for the editing process, that was a failure also. There were many misused and misspelled words as well as missing and added words. I still stick with my very first impression of this story, Jeremy is beyond redemption. This book feels like a rip off of The Consequences series but Jeremy is NO Tony. If the next book comes out in December as promised, I'll read it. If it takes months again, I'll write this author off forever and never read her work again.
This is what Lilly said at one point in the book: "The day passes slowly, like a migraine". I sort of rephrased it to describe how I felt like reading this torture of a book: The book went on slowly, like a migraine Here's the worst part, I actually did get a migraine while reading this book. When I finally finished it, I exhaled a sigh of relief. Where the first 5 parts are brilliantly written, the sixth part has to be one of the worst continuation of a story I have ever read in my life and that is saying something since I have read a lot of bad sequels. I knew when the author promised she'll try to make her books longer that this was bad news. I didn't know that it would be this awful. Uncovering you 6 makes you wanna claw out your hair. It makes you wanna give up on this series altogether. What UY6 sells most is this: bullshit The author must have tried her best to sell us a load of crap. From Stonehart's extremely ludicrous and deeply disturbing confession of love to Lilly's 3 pages long monologue about how Jeremy "saved" her by kidnapping her, this book sells enough crap to make a ghetto look clean. The absolute worst aspect was that the author made zero sense. She seemed to have gotten this in her head that she needed to make the book longer so extremely useless scenes were included e.g. meeting Fey in Oregon, the whole fucking awful argument between Fey and Lilly over how Jeremy had ordered her to be "delivered" and oh don't even get me started on the God-awful argument over the guards in the cafe when Lilly meets Fey. There were so many scenes forced in to make the book "worth people's money" that I couldn't make sense of any of it. To say the least, this book was a waste of my time and I am only going to continue the story because I liked the first 5 parts I sincerely wish that the author hadn't tried to elongate the book for the sake of money. That is the worst thing you can ever do as a writer: writing for the sake of money and not for the sake of the art that is writing. *Sigh*
I can never predict which way this story is going except for one thing, how intelligent and strong Lilly is. Otherwise, Jeremy keeps pumping out surprises at every turn and again, I'm wondering if this is the same guy I read about in the earlier volumes. One thing I hadn't observed before because he hasn't shared is how wise he can be, and not just from a business standpoint. He has certain life experiences under his belt, not all of which he has mastered, but he understands pain and self-loathing more than he let on before. That doesn't make him a compassionate person, though, because he's still part Stonehart, part Jeremy. Something that becomes abundantly clear this time is that Lilly is source of vulnerability for Jeremy. I'm not sure what to make of the events in this volume because the other characters are not what they seemed from before in Lilly's eyes and she's learning more about each of them in a different light. Lilly's big question as to why Jeremy has targeted her specifically gets a partial answer this time around. I'm glad that Lilly can differentiate her feelings separate from Jeremy's feelings and that she knows the difference between love and well, not love. With the new revelation at the end, I am looking forward to seeing how Lilly processes that and moves forward with whatever plan she has created in her mind.
Getting to darn good to stop now bring on 7&8 combo
When book 4 came out and ended I just wanted to curl up and die. Not knowing right away what was going to happen to Lilly broke my spirit. Not knowing what Stoneheart was going to do next ticked me off but also saddened me because I knew in my heart there was a reason for everything. So, when book 5 came out I wouldn't read it because I knew Scarlett Edwards was going to try and break me again. And........I was right. So I waited like Lilly waited for the next thing to happen waited for my revenge thinking this was it. I was tricked and shocked as Lilly was to learn what she found out about how it all connected. In book 6....how his past and hers connect. I can't say to trust me but I'm going to do it again. I want REVENGE. So I'm not going to read book 7 when it comes out I will buy it and let her sit. Let her wait until book 8 and maybe 9. But, I can't take the waiting, the torment, that Lilly won't see Jeremy's and I know Stonehearts love. Even how twisted it was to start it changed. It changed everything in his heart and mind to who he was. And who he is now trying to be. For her. So if you are going to read this series it isn't for the fair of hearts. There is some sick twisted parts. But the journey is incredibly breathless. So sit back because this is one heck of a ride.
No, non ci credo.
"I'm being dominated. I'm being taken. I'm giving myself up with no resistance or caution or remorse."
In this book we pretty much pick up where we left off and in typical Jeremy Stonehart fashion, where he is ruthless an over baring. But as this story unfolds we see a much softer side to Jeremy we never knew even existed. We also learn so much more about his pass that just MIGHT make you think twice about hating him.
"I see a bad man. An unworthy man. A man who is regarded... as a monster"
For me despite all Jeremy has done, I couldn't help but have a soft spot in my heart for the guy. Growing up i was always told hurt people , hurt people and it was pretty clear, or at least to me Mr Stonehart was indeed hurt some where along the way. But in this book he did everything in his power to fix that and the emotional side of me was ready to forgive all he had done. However, by the end of this book we learn yet another revelation that just might change everything you thought you knew about Jeremy entirely!!
Okay I read a few reviews before I started to write mine. A couple of the reviewers said Jeremy has turned into a weak man. I really don't think so. I think something big is going to happen. Of course that is just have a feeling I have brought on by how Scarlett left Uncovering You 6: Deliverance off.
There is definitely another cliff hanger at the end of this book. But, I am getting used to that. It looks like Uncovering you 7 will be out at the end of this month and another one in January so. So we shouldn't have to wait to long to find out more.
Scarlett did say that there were more pages to Uncovering You 6: Deliverance "approx. triple the length of the first three." So she must be listening to her fans in wanting more.
I really enjoyed this book and we do see a different side to Jeremy a softer side and he was trying to curb himself from the mean streak he has had in the past with Lily. Although, I am wary of what he will be like in Book 7.
I will leave longer more detailed info rich reviews to better reviewers - suffice to say I could barely put my kindle down reading it in almost one sitting. Deliverance is an definitely an apt title as the author delivers answers and insights into Jeremy and Lily in this book. Be warned it is a cliffhanger but the author indicates a dec delivery for book 7 - which will be an immediate 1-click for me! I have struggled with a couple of books in this series - loved books 1 and 2 but books 3 and 4 were not my favs. Book 5 pulled me back in and 6 was excellent. Definitely provided a few hours of absorbing diversion!
This series is killing me! I thought this would be the end of it. But noooo... We have to wait, yet again for who knows how damn long. We've been promised a short few weeks between books that stretched to months. Not a fan of serials for this reason. Time and money is too damn much. Having said that, I'm way to invested to turn back now. This story's claws have wrapped to tightly around me. This is just so different from most that I've read. And even though I was not happy with some of the installments, this one was definitly worth it. Can't wait for the next one. Praying its the conclusion and i can get off this crazy ride. Just want to be done already.
This author's writing has me all twisted up inside! Every time I think things are going one way, they take an unexpected turn. Is this side of Jeremy real? Does he really love Lilly? Considering the truth revealed at the end, could his feelings all be a lie? Part of his revenge plot? Holy moley! First he removes the collar. Then he burns up the contract. But is it all for naught? How can Lilly ever trust that his action, words, or motives are pure? After everything he's done, I think everything he does is suspect. I'm waiting for the other shoe to fall because I know there are more nefarious deeds that he's committed that have yet to be revealed. I'm on to the next book to find out more.
Uncovering You 6: Deliverance by Scarlett Edwards is very well written. This series has been my secret train wreck from the very beginning. It was dark and frightening, and erotic. I could not look away. I needed one redeeming quality, and Edwards has given me a glimpse of it in this book. This edition is much longer, and more enlightening than all the previous editions combined. I am waiting for 7.
I knew that Jeremy's obsession with Lilly probably had something to do with his mom, but not in the way that it actually did happen. I think that Lilly is slowly falling victim to Stockholm Syndrome since she keeps making excuses as to why she is not ready to leave him yet. Even though Jeremy is slowly changing, I just wish we could read his pov to find out how he really feels and why he does what he does. I just hope that the next part doesn't take too long to come out.
