Following the trend, with the intention of finishing this series, I read this book. Again, I love the main characters, I loved seeing old favourites - Marco's my favourite since he's got such a sarcastic tongue in his mouth.

The Substitute Bride focusses on Laila and Nikos, secondary characters in the Orsini Bride. Not as complicated as the previous book. Cute and fluffy enough, and a lot more pure than the previous too.

Again, another guilty pleasure read. Wattpad edition, so many bloody typos again. But the dialogues are pretty funny all the same.

And now, on to the last book.

Rating - ★★★½

Laila + Nikos

✓ Greek Billionaire/ Sicilian Princess
✓ Arranged Marriage
✓ Sister Switch
✓ Virgin h/ Playboy H
✓ Multiple POV
✓ HEA/ Cliffhanger for the next couple

My Feelings :

- Oh! Nikos and Laila met for the first time with a bang! I meant it literally.😂 Gosh! I loved the way they fought one moment and the next thing you know they're kissing. Their banter was hilarious. They're a chaos yet made perfect sense together.

- Nikos face when he learned how Marco and Laila knew each other. Jealous much, Casanova! Ah, Marco. Still sarcastic as ever. I love his silly antics.

- I liked Nikos's father. Wise guy. I liked his jabs towards his wife's Botox-faced bestfriend. Lmfao! I didn't like his wife, Nikos's mother much. Even though she apologized.

- Ione was so irritating. I wanted to punch her so badly. Also, after seeing Rafe being so pathetic in this book, I don't think I'm going to read his book again. Let's face it. He's less than a beta male. Did I mention pathetic? FYI, I'm re-reading this series. I did read Rafe's book once but it was only for the female protagonist who was awesome btw. I wish it wasn't Rafe she was paired up with. Gah!

- Oh. How I loved Nikos's jealousy!

- This quote hit home for some reason. Not gonna get into that right now. Just wanted to share it for us, women.
A man is like a cat; chase him and he will run - sit still and ignore him and he'll come purring at your feet.
-Helen Rowland

- I liked that Nikos respected Laila and waited to bed her till their wedding night. It was really sweet of him.

- Oh, my heart! Nikos with baby Sammy and Sarah. So adorable! I mean which woman doesn't love a man who's good with kids, right?

Overall, if you think about it, all the male protagonists in this series were slightly same as in alpha male, billionaire, hot and ruthless womanizer. However, I liked the fact that this series was kinda fluffy and cliché. I'm for some reason in the mood for these wattpad-y books right now.

So far my favorite in the series. It's well written and the characters are excellent. The plot is consistent from page 1 until the end. There are no unnecessary troubles or hidden twists just to prolong the story. And so far, Laila and Nikos are the most mature lead characters in the series. Laila can stand her ground and knows what's right and wrong, I understood her internal struggles and admired how she was still thinking of her sister throughout the story. On the other hand, Nikos was shown to have a playful and kind of unreliable character like Marco & Lucca at the start, but I like how decisive he was, especially with Laila's matter, and how respectful he was of her, and her thoughts and beliefs. Their approach to their relationship given the circumstances was rational, and it's nice that you could understand both sides because of how smooth the plot line was laid out. The foundation of the story was solid from the start, and key points were smoothly addressed step by step along the story.

Although it didn't suck, I didn't find it as enjoyable as I did the first 2 books.

As of now, I can't really pinpoint the reason why I found it lacking. Maybe it was because there was too much jealousy and bantering that I found it a little frustrating or maybe it was because I wanted everything to be hidden super well and not really open THAT much to the other characters.

Unfortunately, this didn't really click for me. This is my honest opinion okay? It aint biased :3

I have a huge crush on this couple. The third best book in the series.

A common review on the series:

I happened to read this series in a very haywire manner. But all the books were enjoyable. The women characters are strong on this series.

Most annoying characters that bored me to death....almost. Both the twins are to be honest very unlikeable characters. As it's a Wattpad books, typos are pardoned!

Published as Part 3 of the Wattpad series Jealous Husband Club.

This is a continuation of the love stories of a group of billionaires. I've read this while it is actually still being constructed and may not accurately review the events.

Their journey is full of emotions and action it will leave you at the edge of your books, ehem, seats. Now, sweet Laila is just covering for her rebellious older twin sister's stubborness to accept the arrange marriage by their tyrannical Sicilian, very traditional, father. Well, things happen and they live happily ever after. Actually, no, somewhere in between, the web of lies sweet Laila had formed, by pretending to be her sister, will explode in her face and cause some action. Not necessarily with guns and chase scenes, but action, all the same.

[The judgement is based on my reading review from back in 2019]

Nikos Pallis is my husband and nobody can change that. Periodt.

I've read this book back in 2019 so the rating and judgement is gonna be based on that period of time. Let's assume its me (duh its gonna be me), but the 2019 version.

Butterflies in stomach, intense love for a certain Greek man, wishing the hell up that I was in Laila's place.

Oh and yes, I already love the bratty twin Leila. She and I can completely connect. Made her my personality trait😂😂
