Music and muscle meet in a sizzling romance with a stadium-size heart.
A girl who once milked cows before school, Bailey Lee rose to superstardom in the country
music world while her peers were still learning to drive. And she’s never looked back. Now in
her late twenties, Bailey is living the life she dreamed of in every single way—except one. She’s
the fun girl, the temporary girl. But never the forever girl.
After Bailey meets Briggs Callahan, a hotshot rookie football player for the Florida Blaze, she is
immediately smitten. He’s gorgeous, successful, and has his sights set on her. The problem? He’s completely her type, and her type is not the forever kind.
Briggs also has a bad-boy reputation bolstered by frequent appearances in the tabloids. Bailey
wants no part of continuing that narrative, but Briggs has no intention of letting her off the hook
that easily.
So when Bailey makes a one-night decision that changes the course of her life, Briggs seizes on
the chance to convince her he’s the man she’s been waiting for—her forever man.
Briggs Callahan (football superstar) wants nothing but Bailey Lee Sutton (Country music superstar). He has changed his playboy ways to get the girl of his dreams. Bailey wants anything but Briggs. She doesn't want a commitment and certainly doesn't want the playboy who she swears is no good for her. What a difference one night at their best friends' wedding and some alcohol will do to lower the inhibitions. Now Bailey is left with the memory of the best sex of her life and another present - or two. Twins. Will Briggs break down the walls Bailey has built up or will Bailey decide she can do this all on her own?
This book had me laughing, crying, and wondering why? Why not let this man in? Why not let this man love you? Why are you not climbing that tree faster?
The spice is right in this book and the story has no holes. The only hole left in me is the one that was filled with Bailey and Briggs story. Thank you, Liane Mae. Now - please tell me there will be a Chesney story. PLEASE!!!!!
A pro athlete misunderstood as a playboy finds himself over the moon for a well-known country singer. A fated one-night stand of their best friends’ wedding took an unexpected turn.
Will Bailey finally put down her walls and ignore the rumor mills to allow Briggs into her life she has been dreaming of? Will Briggs finally break through and show Bailey his true self to give her that happy ending as her forever man?
Their chemistry is undeniable as they navigate through a career and life changing event. This is a warm and cozy read, watching the characters finally ignore the world and see each other through their eyes.
"Blindsided" is a delightful standalone novel that tells the love story of Bailey and Briggs, picking up right after their friends Allie and Theo tie the knot. Briggs is a superstar football player, and Bailey shines as a popular country singer. From their very first meeting, Briggs knows he wants to be with her, but Bailey has built up some walls and is hesitant to let anyone too close.
Just when you think things might stay complicated, an unexpected pregnancy brings them together in a way they never imagined. As they get to know each other better, they work through the challenges of their busy careers, confront their insecurities, and heal from past family issues—all while preparing for the exciting journey of becoming parents to twins!
The author has done a fantastic job of creating characters that feel relatable and lovable. The witty banter between Bailey and Briggs adds so much charm to their relationship, and the supportive friendships highlight what true camaraderie is all about. Plus, the steamy moments with Briggs’ playful dirty talk are just the right touch! Overall, this book was such a fun and engaging read—I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one sitting!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
ARC Review: Thank you to Liane Mae and The Author Agency for sending me a copy to read and review.
Don’t let the cute cover fool you. This book was SPICY, and I loved every minute of it.
Briggs was the ultimate golden retriever MMC. He’s a hotshot pro football player. For Briggs, it was love at first sight. After their one-night stand at a Friend’s wedding, he was bound and determined to show her that he’s the man for her. Once he found out that their one-night stand resulted in twins, he was determined to show Bailey that he was going to show up for Bailey and their babies. Every time Briggs called Bailey “sugar,” I melted.
Bailey is a country music superstar. She was just as smitten with Briggs when they first met. However, she’d been hurt before, so she tried to deny her attraction. After their one-night stand, she tried to ignore his advances… until she couldn’t. I loved Bailey’s journey of learning to trust that Briggs was a man she could trust with her heart. This book was funny, sweet, spicy, and everything else in between

This book had me crying and laughing, screaming why not let this man in and love you! Brigs is a playboy hotshot football superstar and from the first moment he meets Bailey, he knows he wants to be with her but Bailey doesn’t want a commitment focused on her own career being a country superstar hesitant to let Briggs or anyone in. Then one night at their best friends wedding they both drink a little much and cross the line and they’re left with memories of the one night 🥵 And Bailey is given an unexpected gift of her own! Will Bailey try and do this on her own or let Briggs in and go through this together The spice was 🔥🥵 and loved the story line! Thank you Laine Mae for such a wonderfully cute story! I’m hoping we get to read Chesneys story next!
Bailey is used to bright lights, loud crowds, and keeping her heart under lock and key. Being one of the biggest names in country music doesn’t leave much room for trust—especially when the past has taught her that letting people in only leads to disappointment. Briggs, once known for his playboy reputation, he has stopped his playboy ways once he laid eyes on Bailey. Finally at their mutual friends one impulsive night with Bailey—fueled by alcohol, and unresolved chemistry—sets a chain of events in motion that neither of them could have predicted. Liane Mae perfectly balances fame, flaws, and feels. Every page had me rooting for Bailey and Briggs to break down the walls they’ve built—not just for each other, but for themselves. This story is the kind that lingers long after the final chapter.
Bailey Lee met Briggs Callahan, the hotshot star safety for the Florida Blaze football team about a year and a half ago. Even though she wanted him, he was a couple years younger than her and she felt he was a total attention hound and a ladies man with the reputation to go along with that, not something she was looking for.
Bailey was twenty-eight and a country music superstar. She meets Briggs again at their friend's wedding and ends up having a night together. She says it's a mistake and of course he says it's not. He's wanted her for as long as she has him and wants to date her. "Give me a chance. I don't want anyone but you." With her insecurities she ignores him until she can't!
One night changes it all for Bailey and Briggs but is it enough for her to give him a chance?
5 stars I loved this book! Briggs was such a sweetheart. This was a first read with this author or at least under this pen name and hopefully not the last.
This book was super cute! I’m glad I got the chance to read it. I know a lot of people don’t like the surprise pregnancy trope, but I feel like while that was a big part of the story, there was so much more to it. You see the two main characters navigate their feelings for each other, insecurities and their professions. The characters were great, easy to like and so were the side characters. I’m a huge fan of angst and this book also had a little of that so it made it even better! Also, this book was quite spicy! Briggs the MMC was such a cinnamon roll but man is he filthy in the best way possible! Rating 4.5⭐️
Tropes- Country music star FMC Football star MMC He falls first One night stand Surprise pregnancy Cinnamon Roll MMC
“I knew we would be fire, Bailey. And we were.” Briggs and Bailey were made for each other no other words for these two. Briggs nfl star, Bailey a famous country star meet via their best friends. Briggs was awe struck with Bailey from the get go, one thing leads to another with a little alcohol at Allie and Theo’s wedding 😏😏😏😏 resulting in two pink lines Briggs has to build baileys trust in him. They have to come together and work around crazy schedules and paparazzi. Throw in a jealous clingy ex.
Briggs shows up time and time again with the “What my sugar wants, my sugar gets,”
ahh, a story from a new author that ends in 2 oink lines? yes, please sign me up. this was a great read from this new to me author. highly recommended story
A topical romance with shades of Taylor and Travis as country and western star Bailey Lee and footballer Briggs Callahan when their friends wedding + copious amounts of alcohol = a one-night stand that ends up having consequences of the nine-month variety.
Blindsided was my first read from this author and it won’t be my last. I loved everything about this book. From the style of writing which had a great flow to it to the characters who weren’t perfect, but this just added to their appeal. The overall air of the story was mostly light-hearted with no cheating but there is a doozy of a third act break up that will leave you torn between who was at fault, personally I felt both Bailey and Briggs acted childishly and it left me wanting to bang both their heads together and tell them to grow up and communicate. Bailey and Briggs just seemed to fit perfectly together, even their names went together even if they sounded like a cheesy cop show. They had been dancing around one another for months but Bailey worried about the slight age gap between which was less than a handful of years so you couldn’t help but feel she was looking for excuses not to start something. She also let Briggs’ reputation as a player off the field put her off. Yes, he’d earned and deserved this reputation and admitted that he’d went a bit wild like most young men would when he got his big break. Now he knew what he wanted and that was a future with Bailey and the baby gave him an opportunity to get close and as the pregnancy progressed, despite her being in Tennessee and Briggs based in Florida, Bailey began to look at him in a new light and see how supportive he was of her. I loved the secondary characters especially Chesney, Briggs’ sister who delighted in putting him in his place as only a sister can do and I’m foreseeing fireworks in her future if the epilogue in this book was anything to go by.
What happens when country music's golden girl and football's resident playboy find themselves unable to resist the attraction? You get a little sugar, a lot of spice, and everything nice.
Blindsided is an interconnected standalone novel that follows the events of Lovestruck. You do not need to have read Lovestruck to understand what is happening in Blindsided.
Bailey Lee is Country Music's sweetheart, the IT girl with a booming career and everything going her way - except love. But Bailey has a hard time trusting others enough to commit, and the one person she's trying to avoid committing to most is Briggs Calahan.
Briggs Calahan has been labeled football's playboy, but after meeting Bailey, he's committed to mending his ways to become the man she deserves. The only problem is that she won't give him a chance.
But things change after a one-night stand leads to an unplanned pregnancy. Briggs seizes the opportunity to prove to Bailey that he's going to be the best dad ever and the man of her dreams.
What follows is a hilarious, spicy, heartfelt story about trust and commitment.
The story is told in first person with alternating POVs, so you get to hear the story from both Bailey's and Briggs' perspectives.
This book brings the spice hard and heavy with multiple scenes throughout the novel. I will say that some instances left me scratching my head, trying to figure out how certain things were achievable given the circumstances. 😅 But overall, it was steamy. Briggs turns out to be a cinnamon roll MMC with a filthy mouth, so no complaints there.
The storyline focuses more on the emotional thoughts and feelings of the characters, and until the last 15%, a lot of the action of the novel happens in exposition rather than in real time. But the real-time action you do get is fantastic and drives the plot well.
This was a fun, easy read that made me laugh, smile, and get a little misty-eyed a couple of times. It's a fun summertime read.
Yes, yes to this book. My 3rd five star read of the year.
A country sensation superstar, Bailey Lee Sutton, has everything she ever dreamed of, but a significant other. She avoids commitment like the plague due to past hurts and certainly doesn’t want get involved with a tabloid playboy.
A slightly younger professional football player, Briggs Callahan, meets Bailey and wants just her. While all the tabloids aren’t true, Briggs has never met anyone like Bailey. Once he meets her, he is solely focused on her and getting her to give him a chance. They have off the charts chemistry and are equally smitten with each other, but Bailey keeps him at an arm’s length. Does this deter Briggs, absolutely not. This man.
Add some alcohol and their best friends’ wedding, they are suddenly faced with both career and a life altering situation. While initially insisting she can deal with it alone, Briggs pulls out all the stops to show her he is both dependable and the one for her.
Their story of self discovery and understanding each other was beautifully written. At times I cried, laughed and squealed. What more does Briggs have to do to convince her that she deserves love and to love him, like he loves her?!?!?
Bring on Chesney’s story next?…..
Thanks to The Author Agency and Liane Mae for providing me with an opportunity for an ARC opportunity.
I love everything about this book! Bailey is someone who’s sort of a commitment phobe who is not ready to give in to a relationship with a playboy, Briggs. That obviously doesn’t stop Briggs from wanting her. He is determined and one day at their friend's wedding Bailey finally gives in for one night and that will forever change their lives.
Briggs is a football player who has changed his ways from the moment he met Bailey. He is someone who is willing to do the chasing and to make sure he is very clear to Bailey about his intentions with her. These two obviously have their ups and downs from finding out they are expecting a baby together to really giving their relationship a chance.
There were moments where I was too scared to turn to the next page when conflict started to arise, but that didn’t mean that I didn’t love the angst because I really did. The rollercoaster of emotions is what I love in a book and this book didn’t disappoint when making me feel sad for them or happy and excited. Moreover, seeing how Bailey and Briggs navigated their relationship was something that I loved seeing because not only did they made a lovely couple but they also had great chemistry.
Overall, if you love a reverse age with an accidental pregnancy trope, then this book is for you!!! Enjoy 🙌🏼
From the very first page, I was absolutely, well, blindsided by how charming and utterly delightful this book is. If you're looking for a sizzling romance where music and muscle collide with a stadium-sized heart, you've found your next obsession!
Bailey Lee is a country music queen who's been living her dream, but she's got this little secret: she's always the "fun girl," the "temporary girl," never the "forever girl." And honestly, who hasn't been there? Then enters Briggs Callahan, the hotshot rookie football player, and let me tell you, he's exactly her type. The kind of gorgeous, successful guy with a bit of a tabloid reputation that usually spells "temporary" for Bailey.
But Briggs? He's not playing by her rules, and their chemistry is off-the-charts electric! Watching these two navigate their undeniable pull, Bailey's fears of commitment, and Briggs's determination to prove he's more than just a headline, was an absolute joy. Liane Mae has crafted a story that's fun, flirty, and full of heart, making you root for Bailey and Briggs every step of the way.
Seriously, grab this book. You won't regret getting "blind sided" by this fantastic romance! Five sparkling stars!
The football player finally gets the country singer girl he’s been obsessed with since their friends introduced them!
Tropes: 🏈 Football Player x Country Singer 🎤 One Night Stand 🏈 Accidental Pregnancy 🎤 He Falls First 🏈 Long Distance Relationship 🎤 Reformed Playboy
Briggs has wanted Bailey ever since they were introduced. Bailey wants him too, but she’s trying to protect her heart and doesn’t want a relationship. They finally give in the night of their friends’ wedding. Briggs is working hard to stay on Bailey’s mind. When he finds out she’s sick weeks later, he goes out to surprise her, where she has a surprise of her own…
Briggs and Bailey’s story is so good. Briggs wants so badly for Bailey to believe he truly wants her and won’t leave her. Their relationship development was really sweet, and it was cute to watch them go to each other’s events. The drama was really interesting, and I really appreciated the push on therapy to help with childhood trauma.
🌶️🌶️
Thank you, Liane and The Author Agency, for sending me a copy of this book!
Ok how have I not seen or heard of this author till now. I mean you guys I have definitely been missing out for sure. This was Bailey and Briggs book and you guys it was so darn good. I mean should I say more than his name Briggs Callahan. I believe that right there says it all if you read the book too am I right. He is such a perfect book boyfriend. He is utterly committed to Bailey from the moment that he meets her and with the news that changes everything he changes all of his bad boy ways for her. I loved that he made it his mission to show her they belonged together. He does everything in his power to show her and he is relentless. There was so many moments I was screaming at Bailey to wake up and see him and let him love her how she deserved however I understood her fear. This was such a great book it had such a great storyline amazing characters and everything I needed. Definitely will be reading more by this author and I highly recommend this book.
Bailey wants her own football player after her friend Allie lands Theo. She meets Briggs at a party, she is interested but is a bit concerned with his image. She can't get passed the playboy he use to be. Once Briggs got to know Bailey he gave up his partying life style. He is focused on getting her to give him a chance. A drunk night at Allie's wedding and a few months later she is pregnant. They jumped right into trying to make it work. When Bailey is close to giving birth she has an emergency which threatens the birth of their children. Briggs is away at a game and an ex of his is her nurse. She uses facts from their past to hurt Bailey and she falls for it. She ends up saying some really hurtful things to Briggs. Then when she realizes she was wrong she can't get him to give her the time of day. After the stuff she said and how she through it in his face, IMO, he should have been done.
Wow if you want the surprise pregnancy trope along with the SPICE that’s spicing THIS is the book to read! Like go now 🥵🤤
Bailey and Briggs are so freaking hot together! Their chemistry is absolutely delicious 🫠 although Briggs wants more than just a hook up with Bailey. They spend one night together at their friends wedding. She claims it was a mistake and continues to ignore him until those 2 little lines show up…
Briggs is determined to be there for Bailey no matter what happens. Bailey is determined to keep him at arms length waiting for the other shoe to drop. Well that shoe drops and boy does it hurt! Totally heartbreaking and I was not prepared 😭 cue the tears!! Thankfully they both get their head straight but not without a lot of hurt.
This book was so much more than you would expect. It is so well done I absolutely LOOOVED it!
Blindsided by Liane Mae is a romance involving football and a country music star. Briggs is our football player in this book and Bailey is the country music star. Briggs really wants to be with Bailey from the first time he meets her but Bailey has heard he is a bit of a womanizer and doesn't want anything to do with Briggs. Then there is one night at their friends wedding and a surprise pregnancy for the both of them! These two have to navigate one of life's toughest choices and biggest decisions afterwards. I loved the steam between Briggs and Bailey, that man likes his dirty talk:) And I love a male character that refers to his partner with a sweet nickname and Briggs does it soooo well in this book. I loved how both of the characters were working on their issues, made them more real to the reader!
Omg. This was my first time reading anything by Liane Mae. This storyline hooks you. I read more than half in one sitting. Honestly this was probably my quickest read for a book. I loved everything about Bailey and Briggs story even when they had their issues and weren't sure how they were going to work through it. the storyline was written in a way that had me not wanting to put it away!
Briggs knew what he wanted and went for it, consistently trying to shoot his shot. and Bailey was scared to want what was right in front of her. But they had a surprise hiccup that ended up with both getting everything they wanted.
Also that last chapter, are we getting a Chesney book next?! With Brock that got sucker punched last week saw him? I'll be there for that.
Bailey is famous country singer, and Briggs is a hot rookie football player, who has a playboy reputation. When these two hook up at a wedding, there is an unexpected connection between them, which results in a surprise. Will Briggs be able to knock down the walls around Bailey’s heart. This is a well written easy to read story, with friendships, emotions, surprises, tension, taking chances, challenges, humor, witty banter, healing, undeniable chemistry, determination, and love, which leads to an entertaining, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This is my first Liane Mae book that I have read and j really enjoyed it!
Bailey Sutton is a singer and Briggs Callahan is a football player. They meet and Bailey decides to have a one night stand with Briggs which leads to an unexpected pregnancy.
Briggs beings to prove himself to Bailey that he wants to be there for her and the babies but Bailey doesn’t believe that because she has a hard time letting Briggs into her life as her boyfriend. They have a rough patch that they need to work through before the babies are born. They being to see that they are meant for each other. I really loved this story.
Bailey is the country singer and Briggs is the football superstar. One night of some fun at their friends wedding and Briggs can’t forget her. Bailey has her walls up and sees Briggs as a player and he wants to prove her wrong. Two pink lines changes everything and really gets Briggs in motion to try to prove himself. I can see that he was a good guy so I was team Briggs all the way. I did want to push Bailey at some point so she could see that he is not a player! It was sweet seeing him balance his work life with being there for Bailey. The chemistry between these two is cute and I was excited to see their HEA!
I knew after reading Allie and Theo’s story I was going to NEED Briggs and Bailey’s and I was right! Everything about this story just warmed my heart. Even when I wanted to throttle Bailey for being pigheaded lol! I loved that Briggs was all in and trying his hardest to show her he was in it because he loved her and not for the babies.
This book had it all. Love, laughter, and every emotion under the sun. I loved every single thing about it, even Bailey’s pigheadedness LOL! I adored Briggs’s relationship with his little sister and I can’t wait for her book. I can’t recommend this book enough.
Omgness this was such a sweet story! I loved the surprise baby trope. Bailey is very wary of trusting people and letting anyone get close to her. She truly had a rough story and being a huge country superstar didn't help. Briggs was perfect boyfriend material. He was completely and utterly devoted to Bailey. He did everything in his power to prove he could be what she needed and to give her everything she never truly had. They had crazy busy schedules and spent more time away from each other than with. There are lots of ups and downs but they faught through it to get to their HEA. The characters were fantastic and the sweetness was top tier.
Blindsided will have you falling in love with Bailey and Briggs as these two find a one night stand becomes so much more. Bailey has her walls up high and it is going to take a football player like Briggs to knock them down. Briggs might have been your typical playboy however on meeting Bailey, Briggs knows his heart is in for the win. There was plenty of witty banter between these two and their story definitely kept you entertained. The steamy moments between these two will have your skin on fire. Overall, a great love story that ticks all the boxes.
This steamy sports meets country-music romance packs a powerful punch. Bailey Lee, a pop star with years of spotlight experience, meets rookie NFL player Briggs. What starts as a no-strings hook-up unexpectedly leads to pregnancy.. and a drunk-dialed wedding that challenges both of them to redefine "forever." Age-gap, surprise baby, second chances… Blindsided pulls at all the feels and delivers with depth and heat. I loved being among the first to read this emotional, passionate, and surprising ride.
This story grabbed my attention from the get go and never let up! Bailey and Briggs met when her best friend and his teammate started dating in a previous book. At their friends’ wedding, their mutual attraction boils over into a life changing night with surprising consequences.
I loved how Briggs was determined to put in the effort to change his playboy ways to be worthy of Bailey. He keeps showing up for her and his persistence and consistency along with his sexy charm wins her over. I loved their connection and that even though the path to their HEA wasn’t easy both of them were willing to work through those tough spots.
I enjoyed this book enough to go back and read the previous book, Lovestruck to see where their story began.
I received a free ARC from the author and The Author Agency; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
