About the author

I grew up in a small northern Minnesotan town married my high school sweetheart, had two beautiful children and as soon as we could we moved to a warmer climate. I have worked with my husband building and decorating custom homes for years. After loving every kind of vampire book, movie and series I decided that I wanted to know more. I can write a book I thought, how hard can that be? Well.... But I stuck to it and finished my first book Royal Blood Chronicles Book One in August 2009. I now have ten books and three novellas in the Royal Blood Chronicles, two in Phantom Lives, three in the adult dystopian Pathogen series, two in h thriller/mystery series Silken Ties, with Corporate Ties and Thorns of Revenge and 25 books in total. My parents always told me that I could do anything that I wanted, work hard, study and do it right. I believe that and live that way every day.

I started writing this new vampire series for teens and their moms because I myself wanted something different to read. I was tired of all the modern versions of vampire books, there had to be more to these long lived beings. Where had they been what had they seen? I wanted, no I NEEDED to know more so Royal Blood Chronicles was born! As in Royal Blood Chronicles, Phantom Lives features strong female characters and action and adventure mixed with romance, friendship and a historical backdrop

Not your everyday series for sure and I LOVE it. This isn't your normal run of the mill zombie type books and I highly recommend you read in order or you'll be lost!

I'm fully rooting for these survivors. I don't have a favorite I just like them as a whole! I truly hope they make it one way or another. The characters are well developed considering this genre and I have to say you just keep flipping the pages until your done thinking....NOOOOOO I need the next one.

BTW this cover is just simply freaking amazing!!!! I highly recommend the Pathogen series and I haven't been disappointed yet. Can hardly wait to pick up the next one.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time! Just like book one you will be left turning pages until the very end and not wanting to stop! Once I started reading there was no stopping! The twists and turns just keep coming for this group of survivors! They never know who to trust and around every turn there is something new thrown at them. This series is not your average Zombie book! I love that once I think I know what might happen the book takes a turn that I never seen coming. It will keep you guessing until the very end! This is a must read book!

wow, talk about a page turner! this was such a fantastic follow up to pathogen! this book gets your adrenalin going and you want to root for the survivors to make it! the love story that in intertwined into the story is fabulous as well. i stayed up way too late because i had to know what happened next, but i always get hooked into E.L. Loraine's books and i cannot wait to see what she has in store for us readers next!
