Absolutely AMAZING!!!

I loved this book. The author does a great job with character development. You get to watch them change and get a front row view into the mind of a dark and twisted villain. So much suspense all the way through right to the very end. Difficult to put down. 5 stars is not enough. I give it a 9.5 out of 5. Can’t wait for her next book. I am now a VERY big fan!

I love a great cover and this one is a perfect representation of the book within!

The Colors has a dual POV, with short manageable chapters, that had me anxious to get to the next point of view to find out when all hell would break loose.

Syrak and Rathire are well developed and have their own distinct personalities that suck you into how they’re feeling and thinking. Even when I had to put this book down to live life I was still wondering what was coming next, how would it all pan out.
I’m definitely looking forward to more books from this author!

Wow—what a ride! The Colors is a gripping, suspense-filled thriller that had me hooked from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down! Tayler Vaughn does a brilliant job weaving an intense, edge-of-your-seat story, and I especially loved how the killer’s voice is woven throughout—it adds an extra layer of chilling intrigue. If you're a fan of dark suspense with a clever narrative twist, this one is a must-read!

Loved this book! Never judge a book by its cover because you never really know who you are dealing with. The twists that Tayler put in this were SO good!! You think you knew what was going on the whole time because of the dual POV, but those little pieces she snuck in there made my mouth drop. Amazing book and great characters!

If you are looking for a page-turning read, this is it.

Shal and Rathson are two detectives that have worked together for years. As recently promoted detectives, they are taking on the Mares Skinner, a serial killer no one has been able to stop for years. With many different MOs, the skinner has been able to evade police. The question is, how much longer before the Skinner is caught. Working together and separately, professionally and personally, will Shal and Rathson be able to catch the Skinner?

This author has one of the best character developments I have seen. She poetically sets every scene to help you get really to catch the Skinner yourself.

A new author that I just discovered and her book will leave an impression on me because the characters are fleshed out perfectly, the complexities of the story and twist and turns throughout were well executed. The cover was gorgeous. Recommend this fast-paced page turner that kept me up all night to unravel the plot.

The Colors, is a one of a kind read and the title says it all. The way one perspective is told and retold by two points of view is outstanding. You will be on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next.

The Colors By Tayler Vaughn debut author.

Where to even begin with this review!! Let’s start at the beginning. I received a copy of this book from Tayler Vaughn herself. This is her debut novel called The Colors. The cover of this book had me hooked it’s so vibrant and beautiful. I am 1000% a cover and title girl it’s how I choose all my books.

This boon is not only unique but it also uses unique names it was so refreshing to see a book that didn’t have the same old names. This book had me flipping through the pages and anxious to find out what was next. I absolutely love this book, I literally did not see the ending. When I got to the big reveals at the end I literally looked at the book and said out loud “what in the actual _______!!!!!!” I highly suggest you run at a very fast pace and snatch up this book now!!! Not later right NOW!!

Tayler you are on notice girl I need more books. The pressure is on lol!!! Get to typing. @tayvnovels

Wow! This book was not what I expected! Rathire and Syrak have been partners in the police force for years. They consider themselves best friends. They’re promoted and offered a job to find the mares skinner serial killer who murders one person per year.

This book had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would shock me and happen next. Rathrie has been acting strange, so Syrak starts looking into him. That’s when things start to make sense.

You don’t want to miss out on this one, it will keep you reading and not wanting to put it down!

This is a new author for me discovered through a Facebook book club and boy am I glad I found this one! It is suspenseful and very well written. The story line keeps you invested in the outcome of the characters and is quite intriguing. Two fellow officers are hot on the trail of a serial killer. The twist is – sorry not gonna tell you cause it will give it all away. Great read and highly recommend it for those looking to find new authors.

This book was truly intriguing not the type of book I normally read but it was captivating enought that I read entire book in less then 24 hours . The detail to this book is out standing and isn't your typical story plot which just kept you coming back for more and kept you on your toes! . I recommend this book !! Author did great job!

OMG!!!! This book had me hooked from the first page! Way to go Tayler!!! I love a good psychological thriller, but this book was better than good, it was GREAT! From the first page I had to know more, I had to know what Rathire's next decision/move was going to be. I absolutely loved the characters, the story, and the suspense. So excited to see where it goes from here. Great job Tayler!!!

I do not usually read crime or modern day novels. That being said, I was captivated by the first page! An intricately woven tale of a killer hiding in plain site. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for her next book!

Crime thriller with a dual POV. Interesting premise but repetitive with the writing. Also can’t stand a serial killer who reveals himself through an idiotic means like he’s some old school cartoon villain.

This was a slow starter for me. I actually thought about giving it up at one point, but I'm definitely glad I hung in there! Once the pace picked up, this police procedural kept me on my toes and I can't wait to read the sequel!

Quick read, kept interest

I liked hearing the story from both sides. Sometimes it was a little too cliche and obvious. Too much repeating in some areas too. Fairly quick read
