When Eden and her best friend, Debbie, embarked on a three-day retreat for some much-needed relaxation, Eden never anticipated the whirlwind romance that would ignite between Debbie and Richard, the leader of the retreat. Nor did Eden foresee her best friend’s sudden personality change and subsequent betrayal, shattering a fifteen-year bond in mere hours.
Even more shocking was the discovery that, before the weekend concluded, Debbie would be found dead under mysterious circumstances.
Detective Eric Kent, a man with a keen intuition and a knack for unraveling the unseen, was assigned to the case. While waiting for the autopsy results, he dove in and quickly found himself entangled in a web of questions. Eden’s account of events was riddled with emotional pain and confusion, yet something deeper seemed to pulse beneath the surface—something much darker …
This was no ordinary case; it required a perspective that transcended the obvious, a journey into the unknown, where love and danger intertwined.

I absolutely enjoyed reading A Mother's Love . It's an amazing story . I was pulled in from the beginning . It's part of the Psychic Vision series . Eden never expected a weekend retreat would lead to death , Love and loss not to mention her past . Going back to get answers with Detective Eric Kent . What they find maybe more than they can handle . This story is full of intrigue and it's intense and so interesting with a bit of romance sprinkled through . So many twists and turns . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
Eden finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation, an investigation that takes her back to her heartbreaking childhood. It is heart wrenching to hear about her grandmother's attitudes and actions and once you know about it, it's easy to understand the effect that those experiences have on her present life. Eric doesn't initially understand the walls Eden has up and some of her evasive answers, but he is intrigued and cannot walk away from her, despite the impact it may have on the case. This ends up being a haunting and very sad case, Stefan once again steps in as a stabilising presence, but even he is shocked when they uncover the truth. This is well written but is not one of my favourite of the series, I didn't feel as invested in Eden or Eric as I have with previous characters in the series.
Eden and her friend Debbie set out for a retreat together. Something happened sending Eden home alone. The next morning the police are at her door with horrific news. Detective Eric and Eden both have abilities beyond the norm and find themselves working together on this puzzle. The retreat held something DARK and unbelievable, can they find answers? How is this all linked to the detectives' murder case? In the latter half of this book I couldn't put it down, I really love this series and the strange and wonderful things that happen.
The death of Eden’s friend brings Eric into her life and brings back a lot of trauma from her childhood that she had suppressed. Eric, along with Stefan, helps her figure out what happened to her friend and resolve the issues from her childhood. This is a very emotional story with some revelations I didn’t see coming. I really like the story and the characters.

Eden and her friend Debbie go to a retreat but things don’t go as planed. Her friend goes a little crazy after meeting a man and instantly falling for him. Finding out her friend was murdered sends her on a quest to find the killer but she finds so much more. This one was reminiscent of some of the earliest books in this series. Grab it for a great adventure into the paranormal.
Psychic stories were so far out of my comfort zone until I started reading Dale Mayer's "Psychic Vision" novels and now I am hooked and eagerly awaiting the next one. "Hello, is that Eden Langdon ? my name is Detective Eric Kent ..............." This was the start of a phone call telling Eden that her best friend was dead, murdered, and that she was suspect number one. Eden and Debbie Kingston had been friends for fifteen years, they even worked together. When Eden and Debbie decided to embark on a three day meditation retreat, little did Eden know that her life was about to change forever. Eden was annoyed that her flighty friend had immediately fallen into a relationship with the leader of the group, she had tried to steer her away from this, she didn't like the way that Debbie was behaving, it was as though she had undergone a personality transplant, they had argued and Eden had left. There was something disturbing and unsettling about the retreat and the story that Eden and Eric uncover leads into unknown realms, both of them have psychic powers, Eric is trying to harness his but Eden's are far more powerful and she refuses to acknowledge them. Eden's childhood had been traumatic, the retreat brought back memories that she had kept hidden, memories that she refused to face. Other deaths occur and Eric is convinced that they are connected, but where did the retreat fit in ? he knew that they needed the help of powerful psychic, Stefan, he knew that their lives were in danger but could he control Eden's instincts and keep them safe ? This is a fast moving story about the mysteries of the unknown, it has just the right amount of woo woo. A thoroughly enjoyable read if you like something a bit out of the ordinary.

Eric Kent is a detective with excellent intuition and a knack for untangling the unseen. He's assigned to the case and immediately dives in. He quickly finds himself ensnared in a web of unanswered questions. After talking to Eden, he suspects there are some dark undertones pulsing beneath her emotional pain. Together, they search for answers in a unique case that requires a deep perspective. To solve it, they'll need to dive into the unknown where love and danger are intertwined.
This is my favorite series by Dale Mayer. Every book is an automatic purchase and a must-read. As usual, this book was well-written with well-developed characters and a plot ta is fast paced. I was drawn into this enthralling story from the very beginning and kept hooked until the end. Dale Mayer is a fantastic author and storyteller who keeps each book fresh and unique despite the length of the series. This was a captivating paranormal romance with intrigue, mystery, and suspense. I absolutely loved this book and am eager for the next one. I highly recommend both book and series. I personally think the books are best read in order as you get a feel for repeat characters and the general storyline, but each book can be read on its own.
Eden and her best friend Debbie set out on a three-day retreat seeking rest and renewal. Instead, Debbie is swept into a whirlwind romance with Richard, the retreat leader, and her sudden personality shift leaves Eden feeling betrayed, shattering their fifteen-year friendship. The weekend takes a darker turn when Debbie is found dead under mysterious circumstances. Detective Eric Kent, known for his sharp intuition, is assigned to the case. As he investigates, Eden’s grief-stricken account raises more questions than answers, hinting at secrets and dangers lurking beneath the surface. This is no ordinary investigation — it’s a journey into hidden truths where love, betrayal, and danger intertwine, and where the line between trust and deception grows perilously thin.
I loved this story about how quickly trust can unravel, how love can conceal danger, and how uncovering the truth requires venturing into the unknown. The story highlighted that truth is rarely obvious — it requires patience, perspective, and a willingness to confront darkness. I also enjoyed that a space meant for healing can conceal danger, underscoring the fragility of safety. I loved that there was a lot of psychic involvement in the story which brought Eden and Eric closer together. A great mystery wrapped up in a tragic weekend away. A lot of emotions and feelings throughout the story. Easy to read and understand. This was an MF story.

Multiple murders that are connected, but not. Best friends Debbie and Eden go to a weekend retreat for relaxation and meditation. A stress releasing weekend is what Eden is looking forward to, but Debbie becomes someone Eden doesn't even recognize as her best friend of over a decade. Debbie turns up dead in her home, after returning alone from the retreat. Eden is dealing with all the guilt now, thinking that had she not left Debbie behind, she might still be alive. Enter Detective Kent (Eric). He has Eden on the top of his suspect list after she recounts her anger over the weekend debacle. Eden's honesty just might have been her undoing, but Eric looks past the obvious and searches for more evidence. Upon returning to the resort hosting the event. Eden and Eric find out a lot about each other, as well as finding out things are not okay at the resort. Some woo woo stuff is going on, and both Eden and Eric have a hard time admitting they both have abilities. A truly twisted story of the lengths a parent will go to in hopes of protecting the life of their child/children. A 5 star page turning read.

The story starts out with two friends going to a weekend relaxation retreat and ends with them severing their friendship. Then Debbie is found dead and Eden can't shake the feeling that it was not a natural death. Eric is assigned to Debbie's case and although the toxicology report hasn't been received, his intuition tells him to continue to investigate.
Eden and Eric end up going to the next retreat, and find more than they bargained for - including additional skills neither of them had realized they had. They need to call on Stefan for help with the strange goings on at the retreat location.
Eden and detective Eric Kent find themselves together searching for answers which at first seemed to originate with the death of Eden's best friend Debbie. Both Eden and Eric discover a tangled web needing fast attention to avoid further disasters. It takes both of them together to figure out the growing mystery and how to stop it. While they discover more and more about the problem they also discover more about each other, their gifts and how to use these gifts effectively. Kept me reading well into the night.

Raw emotionally turmoiled and twisty plot. Intricately complicated and very deep. It's a story to relish reading and soak up all the nuances, the interactions of the characters and the scenery and happenings surrounding them. Present mixed with past and forces out of control. It made me think about just how things affect us when young and can carry through to adulthood not quite understanding why! I love how it stretched my mind and I completely focused and enjoyed it
Eden never expected to come home from a relaxation retreat shocked at how her friend behaved and a murder suspect, fortunately while Detective Eric Kent has her at the top of his list he also is open to other possibilities. I really enjoyed the suspense and twists during this as well as the attraction simmering and that they have more than attraction in common.

You don't know what to expect to happen as you are reading. You feel sorry for some of the characters and others are frustrating but you can kinda understand why they do what they do. The thought that goes into writing this series is amazing.

To spend a weekend away with your friend and a chance to take a break from work what could go wrong? Fight with friend, introducing a police officer and than having to meet new spirit people and face the death of your mother. A page turning story weaving pathways you never see coming and the ending? WOW. WOW. WOW.
Extremely well written with astounding characters having interactions with beloved past characters. Storyline was consistent and moved at fast pace. I was instantly immersed and genuinely surprised by some of the ending to this story. Dale Mayer has been a favorite of mine for years. Would highly recommend this book.

A Mother’s Love is a great story that is twisted as it can get. No skipping paragraphs, in fact lines because it will lose an important part of the story. Between Eric, Stephen, Dr Maddy, and Eric the psychic team the psychic assaults begin to make sense. Loved this story!
(4.5) Twisty, psychic tale, family and friends. Eden was stressed and needed some relaxation so she signs up to go to a retreat. Her best friend Debbie decides to go with her. Things fall apart quickly and Eden heads home; she wakes to the news her best friend is dead. We watch Eden grow into her talents, we see what a mother's love can do and that evil abides. Some surprises on the way with a HEA. Thank you for the advanced copy. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #AMother'sLove #PsychicVisions #DaleMayer #ValleyPublishing #Booksprout
