Chimera: An Anthology
The term chimera has come to describe any mythical or fictional creature with parts taken from various animals, to describe anything composed of disparate parts or perceived as wildly imaginative, implausible, or dazzling.
In other words, a chimera could be any hybrid creature.
Come with us while we regale you with eight tales of the CHIMERA...
We are the SHIPPY WRITERS, a small group of like minded authors who get together once a month (mostly), to talk about writing (sometimes), and push each other to write smarter (occasionally). Some of us are veteran writers with a number of books under our belts, others are virginal. It matters not the depth of the writers' journeys, as all these tales will thrill and horrify you in equal measures.
Profits from this book will be going to RESCUE ME animal sanctuary in Merseyside.

I started writing at Christmas, back in the days of yore. I was reading The Night Before Christmas, by Clement Clarke Moore to my daughter who was too excited to sleep. But, I used my secret weapon, my boring voice she was soon catching the right amount of zzzzz's... As I tiptoed out of the room, giving Santa the space he needed to do his bit, I thought to myself, you know what? I could write something like that...
So I did...
The good Behaviour Act was written, the first story in Interesting Tymes, my very first publication.
I live in sunny Liverpool in the UK with my partner and daughters, I used to work in IT but don't anymore, and am the happier person for it. I love football, music and film... I also enjoy long walks, pretty flowers, and gratuitous violence and nudity...

Chimera: An anthology by The Shippy Writers. 8 authors, 8 stories.
Thicker Than Water by James Lefebure is a very eerie exploration of family traditions that keeps you guessing.
Built for Two by Tom Anderson is creepy as hell. The sense of confinement holds tight from start to finish.
