Colliding Worlds #4

Her Vampire Mate

Rate this book
A steamy werewolf romance in the Colliding Worlds series from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Tabitha Conall...

A vampire and a werewolf. Enemies. Mates.

While searching for a world-walker, werewolf Jennalynn Bishop finds her mate. But instead of feeling excited, she's horrified. He's a vampire, an enemy.

Searching for the same world-walker, vampire and professional poisoner Antonio de Marco feels drawn to his werewolf foe. He loves women, always has, so he rolls with it. Maybe seducing her will throw her off her game.

Thrown together repeatedly, they finally team up to track down the world-walker, never realizing the danger waiting for them if they succeed in finding her.

This 30,000+ word long book is the fourth in the Colliding Worlds series. HEA included.

This was another great story by Tabitha Conall. Maybe the most star crossed of lovers in the Colliding Worlds series (at least so far), Jennalynn and Antonio have some giant hurdles to cross. This story is filled with just as much action and romance as any of the other CW stories, making this a great read. Again, I'd recommend this, and all the Colliding Worlds stories, to any fan of shifter romances or romance fans looking for something new and exciting!

In the fourth book of the Colliding Worlds series, werewolf Jennalynn Bishop is the fourth ranking member of the North American Pack. She’s also the pack alpha’s only sister. When her brother Darius sends her on a very important assignment, she’s determined to succeed no matter what. She needs to find a world-walker, a person capable of traveling between dimensions. While on the hunt, she finds more than she bargained for in a smooth-talking, charming vampire, who just happens to be her mate.
Vampire Antonio de Marco is an assassin for hire but an outcast among his own kind. Most vampires are cold, emotionless, heartless creatures, but Antonio follows his heart and allows his emotions to control him. The Vampire Council orders him to find the world-walker, and though he considers the task both an honor and a way to line his pockets, he knows his life is on the line if he fails to secure what the council wants. Then he meets sexy wolf Jennalynn, but his charms don’t work on her. For wolves, they know who their mates are by smell alone, but it takes vampires longer to realize if they’d found the soul mate. For Antonio, he’s not sure if Jennalynn is the one, but the more time they spend together, the more he’s hoping she’s the other half to his soul.
I love stories with a twist. Jennalynn is a strong, kickass werewolf, and she ends up saving the hero’s life more than once. It’s so rare to read a romance book when it’s the woman who is rescuing the man. Even though she had to save Antonio, he didn’t come across as weak or less than a man. He’s very intelligent, respectful, and strong in other ways.
The world building is one of the best parts about this series. In each new book, there’s new information and more details about the various earth dimensions and the creatures living on Earth Prime. I really enjoyed the addition of the world-walker and the possible trouble to come when the next floating dimension collides with earth.
The story is well written and has great pacing. I love the author’s writing style, and I’m soooooo anxious to read the next book in the series. I cannot wait for it to come out!

Found this book discounted on Amazon.ca via Sizzling Summer Book Blast!; this is my honest review.
- Each book had their own HEA. This one is a fun read. I liked the flirting between the Antonio and Jennalynn and how their relationship gradually came to be.
- Categorized as steamy but it's really not. They are good lovers but there's nothing steamy in the description of the act - one star off.
***This is book 4 and I think it's the best. But - one star off.
- There's a storyline behind the scene and it's not getting anywhere.
- There are a lot of questions still unanswered and book 5 was promised back in 2015(now in 2018) so we're still in the dark about everything.
- I'm very confused about the end as I'm not sure what it means and where it's going. I would've remembered something important from the other books since I read all 4 in a matter of a few days.

I read this in the anthology CRAVE and loved it so much I bought it.
Entertaining if quick read.
Covers the basic of background and I would advise reading the previous book to know more about Jen.
Antonio we know little about before and after.
Very intriguing ending which opens up a different forward route.
Read this in the Crave anthology years ago, bought, read and reviewed in 2017 but review is missing.
No hardship to reread this author but it is so long between books, I forget what the previous ones were about.

Liked it

Caught between two would-be warring factions, Jennalynne and Antonio find love while searching for a key to get the upper hand for their respective clan. I liked this story but it ended on something of a cliffhanger. I'm jumping ship.

This was the next addition of The Colliding Worlds saga Jennalynn Bishop is a werewolf and her Brother is the Alpha for North America and he has sent his sister out to bring back the world walker who is capable of walking between this world and the other and they need to see if this person is willing to work for them but they are not sure where exactly this person is but Jennalynn does have an idea but she just happens to meet a vampire who she realizes is her fated mate she isn't happy to find this out at this time when her brother has given her the responsiblity to find the world walker unbeknownst to the vampire Antonio De Marco he just thinks that he wants to get with her but he isn't looking for forever. So they hookup to find the world walker they of course are not the only ones looking for this person. They find the guy who's girlfriend is the walker he tells them where she works only because Antonio made him do so. It gets funny, serious, and scary from here out but very interesting.
I would recommend that you start with the first story in the Colliding Worlds Saga to get the full effect. Love it. Keep up the great writing Tabitha.

I read this book with no idea that it was a part of a series, and I wasn't lost at all. It stood alone very well, and now I definitely want to read the others.

This is the story of two majorly star crossed lovers. Antonio is a vampire assassin, assigned to a serious case. If he doesn't deliver he will not be able to obtain a pardon from the vampire counsel and may die. Jessalyn is a shape shifter assigned to the same case. She also happens to be a very high ranking pack member.

Shifters mate for life, and unfortunately for Jessalyn fate chooses Antonio. If she makes him her life mate she will lose her pack, her home, and everything she has worked hard for her whole life because he is a vampire. If she walks away she will go insane. A basically impossible decision.

Plenty of action, intrigue, and suspense. I enjoyed how Antonio and Jessalyn weren't perfect but fit together perfectly. All in all a good read.

Her Vampire Mate is #4 in Tabitha Conall’s Colliding Worlds series. Ms. Conall has made me care and worry about the two main characters: Jennalynn Bishop (fourth in the North American werewolf pack, sister to Darius, werewolf shifter Alpha of the North American Pack) and Antonio de Marco (rogue Vampire, working as an assassin). Werewolves and vampires aren’t exactly on friendly terms and when Jennalynn and Antonio work together to find a world-walker, a story thread throughout Ms. Conall’s series, they find that they are true mates. Panic and chaos ensues!

I don’t want to print any spoilers but these two have much to work thru in order to get their HEA but I will be reading the rest of the series, as soon as Ms. Conall writes ‘em!

I received a copy of this anthology in exchange for an honest review.

Walking away or staying together?
I love the Colliding world series. Each book is a self-contained story and yet they do intertwine with each other. This story is about the Wolf shifter Jennalyn and her mission to find the world walker. But what she does find was an Assassin Vampire named Antonio who just happens to also be her mate. How can a vampire be her mate is her biggest question? And it just so happens that he’s on the same mission but for the Vampire council. So who will find the world walker and which one gets to get their help? Jennalyn and Antonio end up with a small truce and start to work together. What happens when it’s all over and they split apart? If Jennalyn loses her mate she’ll go mad in the end. Well written and very exciting story to read.

Her Vampire Mate (Colliding Worlds) by Tabitha Conall
** I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.**
This story features Werewolf Jennalynn Bishop, sister of Darius Bishop from Her Forbidden Alpha (Colliding Worlds Book 2). Jennalynn who goes in search of a world-walker only to find her mate and to her horror he's her enemy-- a vampire. A fast-past, action-packed read, full of suspense, a touch of humor and steamy romance. What is nice about this book (and all the Colliding Worlds' books) is, even though it is part of a series, it stands alone without leaving you lost. Very enjoyable story!

Vampire mate

Great story. Loved the idea of the different species falling in love. Jennalynn and Antonio good chemistry between them another good story to the series of Colliding Worlds, interesting idea, of world's affecting each other and a way to know what's coming by way of a World Walker. Looking forward to the next stories in this series.

Short and sweet but not worth the price for the 118 pages. I would have preferred a long story.

This can be read as a stand-alone, but it is much more enjoyable when the series is read in order. This had humor, action, suspense, romance, magic, paranormal beings, and a HEA. If you like paranormal romance with a strong heroine and a hero that is worthy of her, I recommend this story for your reading pleasure!
