Fangs for the Help

Cassi needs the not-so-legal type of help. Desperation drives her to try blackmailing a powerful vampire. She knows it’s dangerous, but she's out of options.

What she doesn’t expect is for the vampire to make a Cassi spends one night with him and his two men (a gargoyle and wolf shifter) in exchange for his assistance.

It’s not a hard choice because the three men are gorgeous and Cassi’s single. After it’s all over, she can go back to her normal life—or so she thinks!

This flock was so fantastic! Cassi sure made a ballsy move, trying to blackmail Silas. Especially when he was surrounded by his gargoyle and wolf shifter flock. But I loved how loyal and amazing she really was underneath. Since it’s a short story you don’t get a whole lot of background information on the characters but they are still such distinct personalities. Reed, the cuddly wolf shifter who sometimes forgets his worth. Indris, the gargoyle who just wants to keep the ones he loves safe. And Silas, the fatherly vampire with a heart of gold. These three men just loved every bit of Cassi and I loved how sweet they all were, and slightly clueless about humans. Loved their steamy scenes as well! A perfect little glimpse into this world you can read quickly.

2.5 Stars.

Loved the cover. Loved that consent was consistently asked. However, I felt the characters lacked depth and the I love you at the end of a short period of time annoyed me.

The book didn't have conflict, not that conflict is needed in each story but it was such a shallow storyline and the issue that brought Cassi to the guys was resolved basically after one phone call.

I love that they supported here through/with her stutter but my friend, them adopting her stutter was so laughably bad.

Ok so TECHNICALLY this has spoilers but it’s more like ‘hey here’s me addressing your minor concerns.’ Ok. First off, it is no way shape or form dub-con. Oh wait I can do better; here’s an excerpt: ‘Before tonight, she would’ve said it was impossible to be seduced with sweetness, but they’d managed it’

This is a short story, and for less than 100 pages it’s decent! The FL is set on blackmailing the vampire to get his help to save her sister from a cult. He already has a gargoyle and a werewolf in his ‘flock’ and she completes it. They give themselves 24 hrs to convince her to join them. The hallway seen is cute.

Polycule anyone!??!

I love Idris, Reed, and Silas. They exuded nothing but love, affection, and acceptance. And Cassi was nothing light and innocence.

I fell in love with Reed because he was more human than relatable. and his fears were so relateable.

I did enjoy this, but I do feel like it was a bit rushed. My biggest issue is the fact that they met for the first time and then less than 24hrs later she agrees to be soul bonded to them and claiming she's in love with them.... it was just too ridiculously fast that it completely removed the genuineness of the connection.
