First of all, I can't believe this is the ending of the series. Hands down one of my favorite series written by the most wonderful person I have ever met! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!

Now, to the actual book, it will make you smile. It will make you cry. Hell, at times, I was mad. But everything she did in this book was needed for the absolute heartfelt ending she put into this book.

The ending of the series had closure to every question you could ever have throughout the series and the war. I never felt my heartbreak so many times in a fight.

The spice... there's a lot, but it doesn't overtake the plot. It actually adds to the plot with the connections it makes throughout the series. You'll fall in love with some of the characters, and you'll hate others, but every one of them you feel connected to.

I fell in love with this series from the start, and I will forever recommend this series to anyone who will listen to me ramble about books.

Congratulations on finishing the series, love! I can't wait for the next project!

I got the pleasure of ARC reading for this one! And I couldn't put it down I finished her other 2 plus the novella in a matter of 2 days this one took me 3 only because I was babysitting my niece and have my own kids if it wasn't for interruptions I would have finished it in a day! I laughed, cried and laughed some more then cried alot more then celebrated with the character I won't put details as I hate spoilers so I won't do that to others but if you haven't read this trilogy and you live mythology then you MUST read it!! if I could give this a 10 star review, I would! The attention to detail, the writing style the author has, is amazing!

⭐ Book Review: To Kill a God by Marie Manees

📚 The Final Goddess Trilogy – Book 3
To Kill a God is an emotionally intense, darkly magical, and powerfully satisfying finale to Marie Manees’ Final Goddess Trilogy. As the ultimate battle looms, the fate of every realm rests on the shoulders of Eila and Kallen, and this conclusion does not shy away from the weight of that responsibility.

From the very first page, Manees holds nothing back. The book is raw, brutal, and deeply layered, filled with graphic violence, sexual content, and themes of trauma. But it’s never dark for the sake of shock. Instead, it mirrors the chaotic mythologies it draws inspiration from, bringing old gods and legends into a gritty, modern narrative full of emotional resonance.

What stands out most in this book is emotional depth and character growth. Eila and Kallen’s bond continues to anchor the story, offering a deeply moving contrast to the chaos around them. Morpheus’ role brought an unexpected dynamic, but it worked surprisingly well and added further richness to the story. Manees promised her readers that things would be okay by the end, and she delivered.

While the story is serious, Manees weaves in unexpected humor that keeps the book from feeling too heavy. A prime example is Tartarus’ chapters, which offered comic relief without lessening the danger he posed. Even in its darkest moments, the series never loses its wit or heart.

There were moments of disappointment, particularly the fate of characters like Cade and Tartarus, but they didn’t take away from the story’s power. The multiple POVs offered a deeper understanding of the world, and mythology fans will appreciate the many familiar figures reimagined in bold new ways.
The standout theme? Humanity. Through all the bloodshed, betrayal, and divine power plays, it’s Eila’s human heart, and her connection to her family, that makes all the difference. That emotional core is what gives this trilogy its staying power.

✅ Final Verdict:
A must-read for fans of mythology, dark fantasy, and romance with bite. To Kill a God is brutal, beautiful, and unflinchingly real. Marie Manees has created a trilogy that balances gods and monsters with humanity and humor, and this finale is the crown jewel.

⭐ Rating: 5/5

I received this book as an ARC which is fantastic for me, because I got to read all the books back to back and didn't have to wait for the conclusion!

I have loved this series and the final book did not disappoint. As with the other books, the trigger warnings are not a joke. This book is dark. It is violent. There is a whole lot of sex, as well as sexual assault. The original myths were messed up, and so is this book.

That said, I didn't think it was over the top dark or needlessly violent. It really was in line with a lot of the original myths, but with different storylines. In this book we get to see a lot more characters that people familiar with mythology will recognize. I also loved getting to read all the different points of view. Make sure you read the chapter titles so you don't get confused about whose point of view it's from.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about Morpheus because I adore Eila and Kallen's relationship, but it worked. Minor spoiler, but the way Eila and Kallen's relationship will always have that extra bond made me so happy. The author promised that by the end, all would be ok, and she did live up to that.

My only disappointment was that Cade and Tartar Sauce deserved to suffered more, but I get it. I'm not happy, but I get it. Also I really loved with Tartarus's chapters changed to "Tartar Sauce" as the chapter title. This book was so serious and yet there was so much humor woven in that it didn't feel like you were drowning in the heaviness.

I adored this series. I got them all as ARCs, but I'm going to need physical book trophy copies as well. Definitely a new favorite. It was unique, it was funny, it was intense, and it had so many lessons woven in. Plus the love story was fantastic. But I really loved the theme throughout that it was the humanity in Eila and her human family that was key to their success.

Would definitely recommend the whole series to likes mythology, dark stories, and... a lot... of sex.

Marie has again outdone herself! I had the immense pleasure of getting to Beta read this one. It was everything a reader could have wished for in the ending of a trilogy. the plot twists and drama was spot on. And, the LIBRARY?!?! If you know you know!
The character development is absolutely to die for! and the emotional Rollercoaster that she started in the first 2 books continues and is beautifully closed out with the most spicy and wholesome epilouge (that I had to beg and plead and PESTER Marie for, regardless she loves me) ever!!!!
It was definitely worth the wait! and Daddy Eros! well, let's just say he's a forever favorite. I'll continue to keep offering up body parts just to read her books! I cant wait for more of her work!

An action-packed and steamy way to end the trilogy! I couldn't put it down from the first page to the last. The whole book had me rolling, giggling, kicking my feet, p*ssed off, and crying, it was the whole roster of emotions, which is a sign of a great book and author. It's bittersweet that this is the end of the trilogy, because I fell in love with the world and characters that Marie brought to life in the pages. Highly recommend!!!!!!! ❤️

I was so excited to be able to receive an ARC of the final book! I’ve been so excited to read this series and I was NOT disappointed!! I really enjoyed this entire series and this book was a perfect way to conclude this journey. I love multiple POVs with large scenes, so we can get many different feelings and lines of sight and emotions. I do want to add that this book introduced me to new character dynamics that I don’t read. Even so, it was written so well that I greatly enjoyed every second of it! I loved the mythology and exploration of MANY different topics. I can’t wait to see what Marie has in store for us next🤩

Absolutely adore this book and the series as a whole!!! I fell in love with the first book a couple of months ago, then found out the second one was already out and devoured it as well. I’m talking staying up late and yearning to read it all day when I’m not at home. It’s rare to find a series that will do that, but I always cherish it when I do.

After waiting a few more months, To Create a Goddess was released and truly began a love for Eros and Psyche. I laughed, I cried, I felt all of the emotions. Now, the novella that stole my heart has led into the final book of the series. I won’t spoil anything, but there are a couple of new characters in this that are TO DIE FOR. This book helped me see the gods in their truest forms, long-lived beings with insatiable tendencies. The first two books, the Earth gods all in all seemed like normal people besides their abilities. In the final book, you get to see it come full circle as they interact with gods and goddesses from their past. There is closure in every way through this book, which will leave you feeling satisfied and relieved. Each and every god has their story tied up in a beautiful way with a bow on top <3

My favorite thing about Marie’s writing is that each character she writes, you’ll have a strong emotion for. You will love them, or you will hate them, but you will still be hanging onto every drop of their dialogue or interaction with other characters. Even the most “side” characters come with a strong emotion. For example, the most kind-hearted in the whole series? A chef that makes Eila, the FMC, all of her favorite things and changes dishes just for her. I’m still dying for any scenes involving the human chef, when there is a whole family of gods!

Overall, I truly love this re-telling of Greek Mythology. It modernizes it while still holding true to its Greek roots. I loved seeing the gods adapt to what they would be doing in present day. Kallen and Eila will go down as one of my favorite couples in history, they were truly made for each other and the love is very honest. And the third, well… you’ll just have to find that out for yourself :)

This book - no, this SERIES - had me in a chokehold from start to finish. The development of the story alongside the development of each character was incredible.

Marie did such a great job allowing the reader to have an inside look and FEEL all of the love and turmoil of Eila and Kallen’s story. Every single drop and loop of this emotional rollercoaster served a very specific purpose. Every feeling that she put into this book is received by the reader. You hate who you’re supposed to, and adore everybody else. It’s a book about found family and by the end, you feel like you’re a part of it.

This book broke my heart and pieced it back together so many times i lost count. I found this series by accident and now the story and characters all mean so much to me. Please read this book. Talk to Marie about it. She put so much heart into it and you can tell on every page.

I can’t wait to read what Marie does next!

I was lucky enough to have an ARC copy of this, and I can not say enough good things about this series as a whole! I hadn't read the first two when i applied to be an ARC reader so I very quickly binged the first two books. I am so thankful I didn't have to wait for the third book because I wouldn't have made it!

I absolutely fell in love with all the characters and the family in this book. I absolutely want more of them all and to keep seeing into their lives but thats just because I'm being greedy. The ending to the trilogy was a beautiful wrap up. You weren't left wondering what happened to the characters all the ends were tied up beautifully.

I loved the unique spin on mythology in these books and the way the author blended them together. And of course we can't forget to talk about the spice in these books! Kallen is the god of pleasure, after all 🥵 Definitely made my top reads of the year so far.

AN ABSOLUTE EPIC CONCLUSION!!!

Going to try to keep this spoiler free!

Marie did a FANTASTIC job concluding this storyline! I will warn ⚠️ those who have triggers there is some dark subject matter so mind those warnings at the beginning of the book.

Buttttttttt....

IF you have no triggers like myself and need to know how Eila and Kallen are going to save everyone from Kallens a**hat brother and tartar sauce you are going to love this ride!

The family grows...there is training and fighting and of course the sexy times....and GIRL the sexyyyy tIMessss! sheeweee!

Just wait til you meet Morpheus...🥵....man of my dreams!.....LITERALLY 🤣 iYKYK 😉

I seriously couldn't of wanted it to end any other way even tho I thought of it going a certain direction and telling Marie what I was thinking....SO GLAD SHE DIDNT LISTEN TO ME! Because it ended perfectly!

In this final book, Eila and Kallen as well as Kallen’s family and much of the deities in the entire realms are grappling with many scary realities coming to fruition all at once. Tartarus has returned and has Eila’s immensely powerful other half, and he plans to use it to dominate every realm. Can the gods and goddesses face one of the largest threats of their lifetimes alongside the truths and twists coming to life?

I can’t gush enough about this series. I sincerely love Marie’s work in all of the books involved and I can’t get enough of these characters. Their romances, their uniqueness, their fiery personalities, their challenges and how they face them, and just every aspect makes this book feel so relatable and lovable in so many ways. This continued the plot excellently and added some new twists that kept things very interesting!! Seriously can’t recommend this series enough.

To Kill a God left me reeling—in the best way possible. This series has completely wrecked me in all the right ways. From page one to the final line, the author pulls you in and refuses to let go. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I felt everything.

The characters? Unforgettable. The emotions? Raw and real. The romance? Spicy enough to set your Kindle on fire—seriously, this book does not hold back. If you’re craving a story that delivers epic stakes, heart-pounding twists, and chemistry that leaps off the page… this is it.

If you haven’t started this series yet, run—don’t walk. You’re in for a wild, delicious ride. 💥🔥📚

We're at book 3, and hat's off to the author for another masterpiece to conclude the series. Coming from multiple POVs this time around, the story are far from stagnant - the ideas are brilliant, the plots are compelling, flowing you with intricate details navigating the events and layered with emotions. I love how this story touch on many values such as self-love, confidence, the beauty and effects of intimate relationships, having a strong support system, lovable family and found family - whether they can build or destroy you, and leave you with a powerful takeaway. Highly recommended reading.

Thank you for the opportunity of early review of the book 🙌🙏.

Thank you, Marie, for this amazing ARC! thank you for allowing me the chance to read your series! I absolutely loved it!
I get my helping of Greek mythology, action, plot, and SPICE! I loved all the characters and the whole storyline of all three books and how they progressed together so well. it was like as soon as you put one down, you can pick up the other with no stutter or disconnect.it flowed perfectly, and I appreciate that so much. I hate starting a series and reading the books and wondering WTF happened, but thankfully, your books did not do that. They just flowed! I will definitely be reading them again and again❤️

I was so lucky to be given the chance to review To Kill A God of my own accord, through being offered an eARC.

This trilogy was such a roller coaster of emotions.
Absolutely amazing characters.
I loved all the unexpected moments and plot twists.
The whole underlying theme of family and love was always interwoven into the story, even during the intense scenes.
Just a wonderful conclusion to this series.

Out of the books in the series, this was my favorite. In between the darkness, it allowed you to see characters having fun and behaving as normal people. The ending felt a little too fast paced; lots of lead up to a battle that seemed to finish very quickly. More characters and a new world were introduced, allowing the reader to breathe through the darkest parts of the story. It was refreshing as well, at the ending to see how the main character grew as a person, as a goddess.

OMG, this book was HOT as hell. Not only does it have all the spice, but it also has all the feels and tugs at the heartstrings. The family dynamic throughout the story is both admirable and inspiring, and like what Eros always says, "love is infinite, you can always make more."

ARC read:

I was incredibly lucky to have received an arc of this book just before it came out and I must say that it has been one of my favorite reads of the year. Finally getting the conclusion to the story line, watching our characters grow and find themselves throughout the story has been an absolute wonder. I fell in love with the Main characters over the first two books and then getting to meet Morpheus and find what he means to everyone was such a wonderful story line. I was so intrigued by the concept of this series as Myths have always been something I’ve truly enjoyed reading. And Marie honestly hit it out of the park with this one, I loved every nail biting moment and can’t wait to see what Marie does in the future!
