usami is so good with kids, he should totally be a kindergarten teacher !!
i read up to chapter 133 which is the last one for this volume. i know there's like 20+ chapters left but i think i'm gonna stop here and wait until the next volume is released since that makes it easier for me to keep track
As someone who couldn't follow medicine for money reasons, I get it, that part at least. But the angsty vibe the author wanted to give it, nah. Maybe because they're too young and I'm too old and bitter. I still like it, it's just getting way too chill. The slice of life is way too slicing (?)
Mmm.
[4.25] I loved seeing more of Kaoruko’s own wishes shine through, since she’s usually focused on others and it made her feel even more real. What stood out most is how clear it is where her kindness comes from, being surrounded by wonderful people, especially parents who set such a loving example, makes her warmth feel so genuine. The ending added another layer of sweetness with Usami’s family and the way everyone rallied around him, reminding him how cool he already is, was the perfect way to close the volume.
AAAAAHHHHHH KAORU HANA STOP MAKING ME CRY CHALLENGE. i would've killed for parents and academic advice like this back in 10th grade. i couldn't stop crying during this volume. i have a feeling usami's arc is going to be so relatable to me. ALSO SUBARU SAKU AAAAAAAAA YOU ARE SO REAL TO ME
Another volume that feels a little too uneventful for me; the "choosing a career" arc is a staple of most coming-of-age genres, but here they seem like relatively easy decisions that don't quite warrant the amount of heaviness the writing is trying to give them.
Baby Kaoruko is so cute, and finally some insight about Usami and his family because I was starting to get annoyed that he was the only one we didn't get to know outside the group.
