Bit of a harsh scoring because I didn't really read what the short tales were about. I wanted more creepy witches in forests and shit. They were perfectly fine, and there is a tale for most counties which is a fun way of doing it. Some decent little stories / fables but wouldn't go back to them.

Loved this collection of stories so much. Felt like I was privy to a magical part of something that would have only been passed down orally and I will treasure that privilege.

Some great tales but so disappointing that the entire North East of England is completely ignored..!

LOVED! I loved the different chapters that corresponded to a county in England. I loved the mix of old and new folk stories. Some made me laugh, wime cry with joy and sadness. Story telling is integral to civilisation.
