Rock U Baby

Rate this book
How does a shy woman, raised in an ultra-conservative religious compound, cut off from the rest of the world, end up traveling with a rock band on tour?
Drenched and chilled to the bone, she was only looking for a safe, dry place to sleep, but once the men of the famous band, Rock U, spot her and coax her back to their hotel she finds herself snared by her own longing for a different kind of life.
Thinking of herself as ‘Babydoll’ allows this scarred woman to take chances and try new things, including giving her trust to a man, Steve, the bands songwriter and keyboardist.
Will her curiosity lead her into trouble or ecstasy and how long will Steve’s patience and interest in her last when there is a fresh supply of experienced, confident women waiting for him and the other band members at every stop?
Steve Chorizzo may be used to instant gratification while he’s on tour with his band, but in Babydoll’s case, he recognizes someone worth waiting for. Now, if only he can win her heart before the other band members take advantage of her naiveté and trick her into their beds.
Jealousy is a brand new emotion for him, but he better learn to rein it in fast, or he could lose his Babydoll to one of the other band members.

Becky lives in the eclectic downtown area of Springfield, MO.
Her environment is rich with potential story ideas. Within easy walking distance there is a library, at least a dozen art galleries and museums, countless bars offering all kinds of music and atmospheres, (it is also close to the college campus of MSU) chic coffee places, wine bars, fine dining, old-fashioned diners, well-preserved historic mansions, ramshackled hovels, luxury loft apartments, public housing for the economically challenged, two homeless shelters, five churches of four different denominations, crack houses (hard to count because they get shut down then open up again a few doors away) and two concert halls where you can watch a ballet or opera.

Rockstars to the Rescue! That pretty much sums up the premise of this book. It was a little bit longer read that what I have been reading as of late in the rockstar romance genre. Rock U Baby was also a book that moved along really well. There were times when I was in a reading marathon and just couldn't put it down.

Ms. Adams did a really good job of taking the time to get you acquainted with the different guys in the band especially since so many of them had some type of interaction with Baby. Ok, the name of Baby or Babydoll I could have lived without but that's beside the point in the places this book took you.

Steve had to be the only one who didn't live the fast rockstar life as the other guys did, especially since meeting Baby. I loved the way that he had the patience with Baby for the problems that she was dealing with. At the same time you have to give Tommy a shout out too because even though he did not change his sexscapades with the groupies, he understood Baby & was always willing to listen to her. (Yes, at the same time as trying to get her to fall for him in bed & out)

These guys lived the life that you assume all rockstars live… Live hard & party harder with all the benefits that come with being famous. I hope that I have given a good enough review that anyone who likes rockstar romance will definitely get their hands on this book.

This is a rockstar romance with a difference. rock stars to the rescue!! I love the characters, the storyline/plot there is a whole array of emotions and situations, i couldnt put the book down. There is a lot of hesitation for babydoll regarding full on sex, this has been a focus throughout the book, so when I got to the end, I was shocked that there was no mention of sex between babydoll and steve considering all the lead up and hype. This was let the book down. There is no indication that the author plans to write another book about babydoll and steves/bands relationship, though I do think this is worth considering as I feel so much has been left open and unfinished for these to, and you could write a good book or 2 on these 2 alone and give them some closure. Something to consider before writing spin offs about other characters in the book. 4.5 stars based on that
