One night to forget. One firefighter who’s impossible to.
When Everly returns home for the Fourth of July weekend, the last thing she expects is to hook up with her dad’s newest recruit—a charming firefighter with quiet eyes and a touch that sparks something she’s not ready to name.
Luke knows he shouldn’t fall for his captain’s daughter. But one night with Everly turns into more than just a holiday memory. Now she's the one woman he can't stop thinking about…
Too bad the universe—and Everly’s dad—keep pushing them together.
Hot Zone is a flirty, emotionally-charged novella full of forced proximity, fireworks, and a slow-burning second chance at something real. Perfect for fans of holiday romance, protective men, and a guaranteed happy ending.
I love that the author weaved in some of the emotional reactions people may have when they're not comfortable with communication or good relationships.
The spice was tasteful until the last encounter, when it got a little too visceral for my taste, with the bedroom talk. but even still, it wasn't hard to get through and kept the same amount of description and emotional followthrough to match the rest of the story.
I love a good summer fling turning into forever. 4th of July and a fireman? yes please!
