Follow Bear on a guided tour of his cozy home. Wander from the kitchen "all clean and neat" through the playroom with its "great big toy chest," and end up in the bedroom "where Bear says goodnight!"
My baby loved this one so much we had to get it out from the library again. This is her favorite so far of the series. Bear goes through the rooms in his house accompanied by a simple rhyming text. The strong, bright colors and simple illustrations keep her attention, and she loves finding the cat on each page.
This book is about bear, who enjoys his house. Bear does many things throughout his house, such as eating in his dining room, playing with toys in his playroom, resting in his living room, and sleeping in his bedroom. This story also illustrates bear doing many more activities, including how he unlocks his door to get into his house. Super cute!

This is a good book to read to someone who is starting to learn Spanish, as you are able to read the book in English as well as having the Spanish translation, and there is even vocabulary listed in the back. Very helpful!
Another great Bear book. This one follows bear through parts of his house and Bear does there. At the end is a wonderful floorplan - great for spatial skills.
Nice bright colours on a tour of a very traditional home. sometimes the amount of detail is somewhat overwhelming to an adult reader, but may engage children who look at things closer because they are less familliar with them. I like the inclusion of floorplans in the back but wonder if they would be confusing to the young readers since it's a different way to describe space than what they are used to.

On page one, Bear only had a key to his house; by the final page, Bear also had the key to my heart.
The only part I didn't like was when Bear went to bed. I haven't napped all day, and this just wreaked of mom and dad trying to subtly coerce me into sleeping. Bear can go to bed all he wants--I'm up all day!!!
This isn't my favorite of Blackstone's Bear books, but it is a good bilingual Spanish/English book to go over the concepts of the different rooms that encompass a house. I elected not to add a copy to the Spanish storytelling collection since I don't have many books I could use in conjunction with this one for a story time program.
So sweet. I love this series and this bear, and I'd like to make pillows like his. Thanks very much to the author and illustrator and the team who made these books.
We enjoyed this tour of Bear's house, however the placement of the only bathroom off the second floor bedroom seems highly impractical for entertaining.
