Penelope Wright spent a quarter of her life on the east coast and the rest in Washington state. She worked her way through college in restaurants, hospitals, factories, and everything in between, finally graduating summa cum laude from the University of Washington after an absurdly long time. She loves both traditions and new experiences, and will try anything once, except skydiving, which is a hard no. She lives north of Seattle with her husband and two amazing teenagers.
These books have a great story to them. The execution is just not quite what it could be. If you combined books 1 and 2, this might feel like a full installment in the story. As they are, it sort of feels like we reach the rising action phase in the story, and the only resolution the author could find was to end the book. This leaves the story feeling incomplete and not in a cliffhanger kind of way. This feels more like a net galley installment story where you get bits of a full book here and there until you finally have a full story. That said, the story has great bones, an amazing premise, and room to grow into something pretty cool. I'll read the next installment when it comes, though I do hope we get a bit more to the story in the next one. Rated G, 0 🌶 Perfect if you're in need of a short read.
