This Book is about Samira, a quirky and fun-loving employee and Abhishek, allegedly cold Ceo, who were bound to do a project together. Surely, they started on a wrong foot but slowly and steady everything worked out in their favor.
They became 'from not so typical enemies, to friends and then lovers and eventually spouses.
The story was refreshing, funny and gives full on desi vibes.
📍But however, I felt the romance part was a little off, as everything happened so fast like their interaction , falling in love and confessions that I felt the world building was missing somewhere. The romance between two protagonist was so little and I wanted more.
Most of the parts were less descriptive, due to that the depth of this story could not shine properly.
✨But if you are up for a light and something new then this might resonate with you. The cute banter between the two characters might win your heart. If you love such things they i would suggest you to go for it !

I loved how the author describes the struggles a PCOD suffering woman in the Indian society as she navigates her marriage life and pregnancy. Samira is also depicted as a strong willed boss lady, a clumsy yet responsible eldest sibling. I liked how the author says that, it's okay to sometimes, be weak, vulnerable and seek assistance of a loved one; which I find to be relatable with all the strong willed women out there.
Their relationship, albeit full of imperfections, gives a homey vibe to romance loving readers. The couple continues to strive and grow together, emotionally and in their careers despite all the hurdles that come along their way.

This was nothing short of a cozy read. As a kid, I used to watch romantic serials on Star One with bubbly heroine and wound up hero. It’s of the same genre. This has the potential to be adapted as a rom-com.

The author mentioned in her author notes that the book is “raw and unpolished,” and it is indeed a raw version.
However, that did not stop me from understanding and enjoying the story.
Most of the book is in Hindi, which was a challenge for me since I am not very fluent. I had to rely on Google Translate and a friend’s help to fully understand the dialogues and nuances, but it was worth it.
The humor, the small everyday moments, and the emotional beats came through beautifully despite the language barrier.
What I absolutely loved was the chemistry between Abhishek and Samira.
Their banter, teasing, the way they clash and yet connect, is charming and feels very real.
The story reads more like a personal diary or a glimpse into their daily lives than a traditional plot-driven romance, giving it a cozy and intimate vibe.
If you are looking for a story that focuses on character moments, emotions, and a sweet slow-burn connection rather than twists and turns, this book will definitely charm you.

A love story that is really real and raw - love, fights, arguments. It has every detail of a relationship.
The first thing I liked about them is ofcourse their "nok-jhok." And gradually they just melted towards each other. They are so adorable when they throwing sarcasm on each other.
Every moment, every scenes written too beautifully. While reading her book, it doesn't feel like I am reading, it seems like I am watching a movie.
The writing is too raw—part hindi part english it's a fantastic combo, only Indian readers can relate.
There are so many scenes I love, I wish I could highlight the whole book, but her birthday scene is my top favorite.
This is the first book where I smile a lot while reading it. Samira is a pure "Lioness vibes—savage girl." I really love her. And you should have added bonus chapter in the main manuscript. Because the spicy scenes.....were just perfect.

It's such a cute, breezy little escape that I honestly enjoyed more than I expected. The Hinglish narration? LOVED. It gave the entire story that warm, relatable desi vibe that feels like you're listening to two coworkers argue over chai. The banter, the tiny office moments, the little sparks made the book feel fun and incredibly easy to read.
I personally wished for a bit more buildup in the romance. This book was such a pleasant surprise 💌. What starts as a typical opposites-attract setup between Samira and Abhishek quickly turns into a story filled with warmth, tension, and a touch of everyday magic. Samira is all heart expressive, determined, and strong while Abhishek brings the perfect dose of broody calm. Watching their cold stares melt into something softer was easily my favorite part.
The writing flows beautifully and keeps the pace lively, sometimes a little too fast (I definitely wished for a few more moments between the leads!). Still, the chemistry, witty banter, and emotional beats make it worth the read. The foodie details, coffee, samosas, desserts gave it a cozy, real-life feel I absolutely loved.

The book had a really fun tone throughout, the humor definitely made it more enjoyable, and I actually caught myself thinking, “This would make such a good desi rom-com series.” Like it would be perfect on Sony Liv lol 😂
What I appreciated most was the natural progression of the romance. It wasn’t rushed, there was actual space given for them to become friends first. That made the dynamic feel believable and sweet.

My first ever book that I read in Hinglish - (hindi + english ) can I say I loved the concept 🤌🏻 . A bollywood nerd like me who love drama and emotions , loved this book . This book was written for bollywood geeks like me . The FMC (samira) is mirror image of me and the MMC (Abhishek) is a dreamed man honestly 😄 .
My heart skipped a beat when he said - " Kya kar rhi ho tum mujhme samira " like wow man .
Final verdict - If you love enemies to lovers trope , you'll love this book . (Just go and read the damn book ) 🤎

August 11, 2025This was a decent weekend -type read, but what really stood out to me were the individual characters. Samira and Abhishek felt vivid and easy to picture, and their banter was my favourite part.
Since it’s written in Hinglish, my reading pace was slower than usual, but it does add to the authenticity. If you’re looking for a desi romcom with a subtle spice level, this ticks the box. The Delhi references throughout? Absolutely spot on you can almost feel the city as you read.

The book truly has the whole package— from their first meeting to the spark of attraction, from love to everything that comes in between: families, managing a relationship amidst tough schedules, playful banters, fights, pampering, relentless support, and every little thing that makes a bond feel real. Abhishek, though grumpy, is the ultimate green flag we all need, while Samira brings her own flair of drama and spice, making them absolutely perfect.
