Untwisted is the 2nd novella and fifth book in Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott’s Lost in Oblivion series and continues just after Twisted.

Gray and Jazz are now engaged and expectant parents.
 photo 2450571ca1fadabed3edb327287f054d_zps52k96sgp.jpg

Between dealing with all her mixed up hormones and body changes, she’s surprised by a letter she received from her younger sister, who she had lost contact with when she was taken into foster care. Adding to these upheavals in her life, the arrival of Gray’s mother does nothing to ease things for Jazz.

Gray will do anything to make Jazz happy….

. Help her reconnect with Molly, her sister and in between secretly making arrangements for the wedding in San Francisco.

I loved the interaction between Gray and Jazz….the banter is funny and sweet….

They are such a sweet and adorable couple. One of my favorites in this series.

Jazz continues to be a great character in this series. The scenes with her sister, Molly, are touching and really funny……

The wedding scene was spectacular!!!! Loved that the band members and friends were in attendance….the ceremony was beautiful and rather touching……

A quick and enjoyable read and a most satisfying addition to this great rock and roll series.

Gray Duffy is out of rehab and is working hard to make up the time lost in the studio. Jazz is adjusting to her biological changes from her pregnancy and really is missing Gray as he works long hours. A surprise from her past completely uproots her as they also try to make wedding plans.

Though it’s a short story it covers a lot of ground. Gray and Jazz’s issues are pretty realistic, especially as he deals with the realities of fighting addiction. But at the heart of it all, their relationship is pretty wonderful, grounded in history and mostly unwavering trust. I loved getting this little sliver of what’s next for these two. Short, complicated, sexy and sweet. I’m still crazy about Gray.

Cuddle with a RockStar!!

The road towards happiness has been long and sinuous, with too many hard fought obstacles. But Jazz and Gray are almost to a stretch of Untwisted road. Will their fast paced lives and growing fame let them have a chance to enjoy each other?
“Have I or have I not worshipped your belly every moment since you told me you were pregnant?”

Untwisted picks up Jazz and Gray’s story right where Twisted (book 2 in the Lost in Oblivion series) left off. The biggest hurdles these two loving characters have ever faced have been surpassed. From best friends in denial of their true feelings, to drug addiction a truly mixed up signals, to completely in love and engaged couple and parents to be.
“This isn’t our end. We don’t have one. We might have had the longest beginning in the history of life, but now we’re on the road to our future. No detours. No back alleys.”

Now Gray is resolute in proving himself worthy of Jazz. Working hard to provide for her and their unborn baby.
“I need to take care of you. It’s this…urge inside me.”

But Gray’s long hours away from Jazz and the hormones from pregnancy have left her feeling uncomfortable and moody. Add a letter from Jazz’s younger estranged sister, a visit from Gray’s mother and some of Gray’s plotting behind her back and we have the usually sweet pixie drummer in a bad-temper.

I really like that these follow-up novellas aren’t just about chocolates and flowers and fairy tale ever afters. Besides a very gratifying wedding, Twisted gives us answers to questions regarding secondary characters like Molly, Jazz’s younger sister, that are important in the character’s development and gives them greater depth.

It was also fun having the entire band included. Having Deacon and Harper as a happy stable couple made me smile, and Nick and Simon’s antics were hilarious.
“It’s not your candy, those are my vitamins… Unless you have something to tell us, you should not be taking them.”
“But look at my hair. It’s so shiny”
~ Jazz & Simon

Even Lila’s participation was invaluable. But I most especially loved Gray. It was incredibly sweet how Gray wanted to lay his world, even with a limited bank account, at Jazz’s feet. Even his honest struggle with addiction is no match next to his love for, which her made me swoon even more than all the incredibly sexy times they had.
“She clutched his shoulder and his hair, pulling, twisting. Rocking against him in the rhythm that belonged only to them, one they’d never had to try to find. It was as if it had always been there, waiting. This heartbeat between them.”

Untwisted is novella 2.5 in the Lost in Oblivion series and should not be read as standalone. Told from both points of view with a happy ending that will give fans a deeper and satisfying look at their favorite rock stars.

Slick's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Sorry guys, if you don't want to hear me gush yet again about authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott then you might as well stop reading right here, right now. Through two full length books and three novellas I drank the Oblivion (orange) Kool-aid and I have no plans to look back. In Untwisted we find Jazz an Gray coming to terms with their new relationship as lovers, their impending parenthood, and Gray's fight to stay clean and sober and his obsession to provide for his new family. In addition Jazz gets an unexpected letter from someone in her past and has to deal with Gray's often judgmental mother....what else could go wrong? Well, you'd be surprised!

While Gray is doing everything in his power to atone for his mistakes and put away money to buy his new family a home Jazz is feeling a little neglected and a whole lot hormonal. I love the way Gray isn't put off by her pregzilla attitude, they way he rolls with everything he throws out at him, and the way he makes sure she knows how much he loves her and wants her and the baby. This book is filled with some major sexy times as these two find out all about what the second trimester does to the libido not to mention what happens when they add in a few fun toys.

This couple loves fiercely, they fight fiercely and I believe they will parent fiercely. From the minute they met at age 14 and 16 their relationship was complicated and it took them a long time to get where they are but if this book is any indication they will make it through tough times and all.

Sexy as can be yet adorably sweet with a couple of good fights thrown in for measure (but hey...make up sex is the best) I flat out ADORED Untwisted and it is another amazing addition to what is proving to be quite the addiction for me.

I always love revisiting characters I just can't get enough of Gray and Jazz. OMG! This novella is perfect if you feel like you didn't get the closure you wanted with Twisted.

Gray loves Jazz, that's made even clearer within the pages of this book. I can't wait to see how they continue to grow in future books as we watch the other members of Oblivion fall in love.

Note: This ebook was provided by Fido Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Grayson "Gray" Duffy and Jasmine "Jazz" Edwards are engaged and will be welcoming their first child in just over six months. Career-wise, their band Oblivion is enjoying a lot of success and good publicity, though the rumor mill appears to still be latching on to the whole threesome story like a dog with a bone. Gray is dealing with life after rehab pretty well, focusing on his songwriting for both Oblivion and other bands, earning as much money as he can to pay off debts they've incurred and to save for their life together with their baby. Aside from her weird appetite, Jazz is handling impending motherhood nicely.

When Jazz unexpectedly receives a letter from her younger sister Molly, she isn't sure how to react or what to do about it. Does Molly want to rekindle their relationship or is she merely after a handout now that Oblivion is in the news and earning good money? On Gray's end, his mother wants to be a part of her son's and soon-to-be grandchild's life, but Gray demands that she be accepting of Jazz first. With family members pushing their way into their lives and juggling band and songwriting duties, Gray decides it's time to surprise Jazz with a wedding that she'll never forget...if only they can make it down the aisle.

Untwisted is the second novella and fifth release in the Lost in Oblivion series by authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. This takes place soon after the events of Twisted, the second full-length novel and fourth release, and I do suggest that the books be read in order to better appreciate the history between Jazz and Gray and to fully understand everything they've been through. This was a fairly quick read and focuses on Jazz's and Gray's families and the changes that they're currently facing as an engaged couple with a baby on the way. The other band members do make appearances but the spotlight is truly on Jazz and Gray.

Even in the earlier books, the love and devotion that Gray has for Jazz has always been there and in this novella, he takes it up a notch, wanting their wedding day to be one that his fiancée will remember for the rest of her life. He really is a thoughtful and loving guy, old demons and all, and Jazz was always it for him and vice-versa. Reading how they handled the intrusion of their family and the past that comes along with it brought with it drama and humor and, as always, a heck of a lot of steam. This was a great addition to the series and makes me excited for Simon's and Nick's stories in the future. Untwisted gets 4.5 stars, rounded off to five stars for Goodreads. ♥

****Rock Star News Flash****

It's official Oblivionites the darling duo of Oblivion are married and have a new band member on the way.

Of course it wasn't a easy ride to the alter and doctor's office. It's a rock and roll love story after all.

I'm sure the fans will be congratulating the couple and taking bets on which instrument the baby will play. You can never start too soon after all.

With the band members dropping like flies, can we expect another wedding and the pitter patter of more tiny feet? Only time will tell.

The authors were awesome in letting me read this story for an honest review.

NOTE: Untwisted is the conclusion of Gray and Jazz's story. Twisted must be read first. This review contains information discovered at the end of Twisted. This is a series and it is highly recommended to read in order for the full experience of each band member and their stories.

In Untwisted, we get the rest of Gray and Jazz's story. Ever since they finally connected in the way they've wanted since they first met, those obstacles are finally out of their way. They can now move on, build on their relationship and focus on making Oblivion one of the best rock bands out there.

As they begin a family of their own, they continue to prepare for the tour so they can Rock the House wherever the tour bus will take them. They even get to reconnect with family from their pasts; which is something they never saw in the cards for them.

Through it all, they remain just as naughty and intense as ever. With such a strong foundation their love for each other only gets stronger.

They are my favorite couple so far.

Quinn - Twisted
I’m almost to the point with this series that I should recuse myself from reviewing. I love Cari, I love Taryn, I love Deacon, I love all the guys in the band. I love Jazz. I just love it all. But hey, it’s my blog and I’ll gush if I want to. So hold on tight. I’m gonna gush about Untwisted.

Overall Rating: 5 stars- Screw sleep! I’ll let the kids watch TV and eat hot dogs tomorrow.

Untwisted is a novella that follows up on Gray & Jazz after Twisted. OH MY WORD, IT’S AWESOME. I left Twisted happy for Jazz, but also worried about Gray. We spent a great deal of time in Twisted with Gray in a not-so-good place. As much as I really enjoyed the book, it had a much heavier feel than the other books in the series so far. Now, I love heavy, but you know, I care about all these VERY REAL PEOPLE (aka: fictional characters) and I was worried.
“Don’t want to ever fight again.”
“I do. Because I sure as hell have no problem with the makeup sex.”

Untwisted is well named because it untwisted my heart. I am going to go out on a limb and say this is the sweetest book I’ve read out of all of Cari & Taryn’s books. (And I’ve read a LOT of their books.) I mentioned in their fan group that if I were a cartoon, I’d have cartoon hearts popping over my head while I read it.
“What would make it enough now?”
“You. Your cock inside me. Please.”

That doesn’t mean the book is without conflict. It is. It just (mostly) comes from an outside source and seeing Gray & Jazz work through that together was awesome. Seeing Gray’s mind working when it isn’t clouded by drugs was great.
“You. Are. Seventeen. He is not. Plus I’m pretty sure he has herpes.”
“If you’re referring to me, I so do not,” Simon called.

The sex is hot. There is a hotel with a.. um.. sex toy concierge? That’s all I’m saying. Yeah. So, where is this hotel again? Oh wait, I’m off track.

In any case, if you like this series (and you should!) you’ll love Untwisted. It’s guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face – for more than one reason.
Forever. Finally.

Smut Factor: 5 stars- Had to wake my husband at 2am to quench my “need.”
Character likability:
4.5 stars- I wish we were friends.
Storytelling:
5 stars- I wake up thinking this really happened.
Writing and editing quality: 4 stars – Well Done!

•••I listened to the Audible Audio Edition of this book•••

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross keep me transfixed with their performance. There is no escaping once you have started a book they have narrated! You want to hear it all. I love the way they portray all the different characters so completely it almost seems like they are there infront of you instead of on an audio track. I can't wait to listen to more performances by them :)

From Rehab To Happily Ever After

This series must be listened to (or read) in order. The first book is Rocked. The second book is Rock, Rattle & Roll. The third book is Twisted. This is the fourth book. I can't wait to read Destroyed!

Jazz is excited and happy about Gray finishing rehab. Hopefully he will be equally excited about her big news! She wants the moment memorialized forever so she has decided to do the big reveal during the video shoot for Sugar Kisses. Will he be happy? If he isn't ... Will he forgive her? Can they make this work?

Gray can't wait to see Jazz. He wants to go back and start from the beginning... Do things Right. This is it for him. He doesn't want anyone else ever so he wants to savor it. Not miss a step. He doesn't want Jazz to miss out on anything. She has missed out on enough over the years. Will she agree to his plan? Will he be able to stay sober? Will she be as happy to see him as he will be to see her?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy mild taboo contemporary rockstar romances with unconventional adopted families, self depreciating humor and lots of drama to go along with all the steamy love scenes :)

Yes five stars, okay I admit it I am an Oblivian Junkie, I have been hooked since Harper and Deacon's story , so getting more of Jazz and Gray an absolute no brainer for me!
Untwisted is the follow up to Twisted and takes place a few months after Gray returns from rehab; he is working hard, writing and collaborating settings goals for himself to earn enough to pay back his parentsand Jazz for the rehab cost, bu even more s to create a nice news egg he wants a home for Jazz and the baby, a nest egg for a rain day!
Though Jasmine understands I all she s seeing less and less of him and she worries about him relapsing , then on top of this and the pregnancy a letter arrives from her little sister, whom she has not seen since Jazz was 12 and her mom dumped her in the foster system!
Jazzy , just wants to talk t her best freind abou it , but Gray is s busy , that finally three days after getting the letter and lots of stress, she shows Gray, and this incredible man wh loves her with everything he is takes it up one mre notch and takes her to see her sister and since they are heading toward San Francisco one of their favorite places plans a secret wedding for them while there!

Should be simple right? So not. Grays mom shows up at the apartment before leaving and that is a rift that is slowly being worked through, and the baby may just be the ice breaker .
But worst of all it looks like Jasmines little sister Molly am just be looking f or a hand out, but Gray is banking on the Jazzy effect to turn that around! But at what cost?

Great read and continuation, can not wait for more!

This third novella in the Lost in Oblivion series, is anything but fluff. Cari and Taryn have written some fantastic characters that are just so fantastic, you're always left wanting more. Each and every novel and novella bring more out about the major characters and let you know a little more about some minor ones that could become major. Regardless, every character has a reason for being there - always. In this series, every piece is important and gives you just a little more. I love it!!
This novella picks up right where Twisted left off, and just continues down the road that Gray and Jazz have been on. I've got to say that Gray is totally swoon-worthy with everything that he does for Jazz and their baby. He doesn't let anything get to him, and even lays some of his own demons to rest with hard work and a single-minded purpose. That purpose is his undying love for Jazz and their baby. Jazz is her usual firecracker self and a bit more! LOL Their beginning has been slow and long, but so worthwhile in the end. As you'll see when you read this. I'm not going to be giving out any spoilers, but there are some unexpected characters and challenges that show up for Gray and Jazz. But as they say, nothing worthwhile is ever easy. These two - definitely worthwhile, not to mention smokin' hot!! Thank you Cari and Taryn for such an amazing series, I can't wait to see what you come up with next. I know that it will pull me in and not let go until the very last page, as always.

Untwisted (book 2.5 in the Lost in Oblivion rock-star series)Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott
Genre: N/A, Romance
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
I love this series, great mix of heat and sensuality, sex and story and fun, friendly characters. I love Gray and Jazz, right from book one I was rooting for them but its taken time for them to get past all the barriers of their pasts. Now they’re starting their own family and Gray wants to marry Jazz. Of course its not so simple as just asking and arranging a date, he wants to keep it low key, no media – just he and Jazz and their friends. Oh and Jazz doesn’t know he’s planning it either! Of course there’s the problems of his parents...and Jazz family also...what to do?
Its a short and sweet read. As always some scorching sex, some funny moments and some very emotional ones too. Its a good addition to the series, adding a snippet of Gray and Jazz’ life that’s not enough to fill a full book. There are appearances from other band members, but mostly its just Jazz and Gray getting their fairy-tale ending, though not without plenty of dramatics along the way!
Stars: Stars: Five, a fun read and good addition to the series

Received a copy of this book for an honest review. Well written continuation of the Lost In Oblivion series 2.5 and it is Not a standalone book. This is the story of Gray and Jazz post: his rehab stint,a super racy HOT video that makes their band OBLIVION and them even more popular and the reunion with family members his parents and her sister=drama.Can the past and the present drama/issues =HEA? Their friendship to relationship happened so fast and then rehab the fight daily to stay clean and sober and the we not I reality and the pregnancy. He struggles to pay off debts he has from paying off his dealers,and cost of rehab, she is hormonal from the pregnancy and feeling alone and horny, now they need to learn to share those feelings and work to find a happy place for both. They love each other and would do anything to ensure the others happiness, hence offering bribes and requests/commands to friends and family. Can he pull off a surprise wedding for Jazz without an issues? Read this book to find out!!

4.5 "Liking Oblivion" Stars

This novella picks up Gray and Jazz's story from the ending of Twisted. Very similar to what Rock, Rattle and Roll did with Deacon and Harper's story we get that "more" that I crave at the end of a book. You know how you always want to know what happens next, well this book is it. Taking this into consideration it makes sense that you read these books from the Lost in Oblivion series in order.

This book was wonderful in that it is not filled with unnecessary drama. We do run into some minor issues dealing with Jazz's sister and Gray's family but I find that it wasn't overwhelming and didn't take away from their story. As I have come to expect, the chemistry between the characters is hot but it doesn't over run the story. Happily the other characters from the Lost in Oblivion series play an active part. Which brings me to Simon...I know that book is going to be filled with debauchery and I cannot wait!

Thanks to the author for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

You know when you get to a .5 number on a book series you think novella length? You definitely don't think they can be standalone, but these girls rock the hell out of them. I know I know I'm abusing the rock star romance analogies too much but seriously these girls did great!

There's no doubt that Jazz and Gray have had a lot of changes in their lives and relationship in a short amount of time and while Gray is hyper focused on paying back everyone who helped him pay off his debts and rehab bill, Jazz is feeling a bit hormonal and needy. On top of that Jazz gets a letter that makes her even more emotional. Through it all this couple loves hard and after fighting so long to be together I know they will be together always.

*This was a re-read for me, I've read this series multiple times and it never gets old.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Loved the continuation of Jazz and Gray's relationship. The next step after the proposal is the wedding. Or is it getting the family relationships repaired. This is a great continuation of their story. And, of course the narrators do an excellent job with this story and it's characters. You feel like you are a part of this story, watching it from the background.

So darn sweet

This is almost the polar opposite of “Twisted”. Gray and Jazz are finally together, and there are some big surprises along the way. I just love the two of them. Even with his mistakes, Gray is such a good guy and absolutely loves Jazz with all that he is. And how can you not love bubbly, happy little Jazz. They didn’t always have the perfect relationship, but it certainly was beautiful.

I Jazz and Gray, I think they are perfect together and I was so so happy when they got together and began their family. I admire Gray's devotion to his family and providing for them in any way he can. He is the perfect baby daddy and his love for Jazz is heartwarming. I love that they got their HEA just like they deserved.

While I just read this because I needed a U book, this was actually pretty good! A bit confusing without the backstory but still easy to understand. Gray was really sweet with planning a wedding for them and even the paying her sister to be there thing, even if he did hide it all. And him and Jasmine are pretty cute together. 3.5 stars

ABOUT THE BOOK: RELEASE DATE February 12, 2015

Falling in love was easy…figuring out the rhythm of being a couple, not so much.

Now that they’ve pressed play, life is going way too fast for Gray Duffy and Jazz Edwards. A super hot video has boosted their band Oblivion’s popularity even higher, and suddenly Gray and Jazz are the reigning prince and princess of rock. But as their private wedding ceremony in their most special place approaches, they realize they can’t go forward without facing their roots.

With new family members coming into the mix and old unresolved dramas coming to a head, one thing is for sure—the harder they rock, the bigger the drop.

~~~~
REVIEW: UNTWISTED is the latest novella in Cari Quinn’s and Taryn Elliott’s contemporary, adult LOST IN OBLIVION erotic romance series focusing on the members of the rock back Lost in Oblivion. UNTWISTED is Jazz Edwards and Gray Duffy’s continuing story.
Planning a surprise wedding for he and Jazz, Gray didn’t count on Jazz’s estranged seventeen year old half sister showing up in the mix. When Jazz got a letter a few days earlier from Molly, asking if they could meet, it was all Gray could do not to surmise that Molly wanted money based on the timing and the media information. And true to his assumptions, Molly was everything and more that Gray had suspected-now if he could only convince Molly to walk away and never look back.
The storyline follows Jazz and Gray in the few days prior to their ‘surprise’ wedding. Jazz wants to meet her long lost sister and Gray wants nothing more than to marry the woman that he loves. Things go from bad to worse when Jazz walks away after hearing the truth behind Molly’s attempt to reconcile and Gray’s attempts to get Molly out of their life.
The $ex scenes are seductive, provocative and a little bit exploratory-Jazz and Gray’s hotel offers a married couple’s kink package !!
The world building continues to follow LOST IN OBLIVION as they work on their next album; Gray’s foray into writing and mixing it up with another band; and the need to provide a stable environment for the next generation.
UNTWISTED is a storyline that adds a new dimension to Jazz and Gray’s relationship- a sister from the past who is no longer the baby girl Jazz remembers. All of the previous storyline couples and members of the band are present as well as Gray’s mother who is beginning to accept the choices Gray has made in his life.
Once again, Cari and Taryn get up close and personal with the members of the band; their loves; and the people in their lives.
Untwisted is the continuation of Jazz and Gray's story from Twisted. How is the new couple, yet life-long friends, coping with Gray's new-found sobriety, a baby on the way, and an upcoming wedding? Not to mention all the glitz and glam that comes with being rock stars. Throw in a judgmental mother-in-law, a long-lost family member, and a desperate need to provide for the new family, and you have a story that will definitely twist you up inside!
Gray is working himself to the bone to prove himself to Jazz, atone for his sins, and make sure that he can provide for his soon-to-be family. But Jazz is feeling a little left out and neglected, and her pregnancy hormones aren't helping. When Jazz receives a letter from her baby sister, a girl that Jazz hasn't heard from or seen since she was left in foster care, Jazz finally catches Gray's attention. Everyone is skeptical about her sister's motives. But Jazz can't help to hope for the best. Gray however, is not going to let the woman he loves be taken advantage of. And so they set off for San Francisco on an adventure that will either make or break their relationship...
Untwisted was such a great novella in the Lost in Oblivion series. Gray and Jazz have had so much thrown their way since they met as teenagers. They deserve every bit of happiness they can get together. I loved how Gray never lost his patience with Jazz through the worst of her hormonal episodes. And on the other side of those hormonal episodes? Well all I'll say is Gray and Jazz get adventurous in the hotel room with certain room service items...Can you hear the sizzle ? Untwisted just cemented the relationship between Jazz and Gray, and they burrowed a little deeper into my heart with this novella. It was a sweet and sexy story, with a good dash a spice that I loved! If you're a fan of strong romances featuring bad boy (and girl) rock stars with ensnaring plots and a dash of darkness, then I recommend you picking up this series today!
Untwisted is the follow up novella to Twisted, the second book in the Lost in Oblivion series. This one starts roughly a few months after Twisted ended. Gray and Jazz have settled in a sort of connubial bliss. With a baby on the way, Gray is determined to work even harder to show how much he deserves Jazz's love. Jazz meanwhile is missing Gray,they haven't been spending enough time with each other lately. She understands where his need to work hard comes from but she can't help feeling out of sorts. Meanwhile, a letter has arrived and its from her long lost little sister Molly. Now Jazz is even more scared that what she has been wishing for is all just an illusion.
So this book is definitely not to be read as a standalone and in many ways adds to the second book's unanswered questions. It basically ties everything neatly but not so much that it feels like a trite happy ever after ending. Here Jazz has her questions answered about what happened to her little sister Molly (which is a terrific character hoping she gets her own story someday). Gray is shown to be still very much in love with Jazz and willing to still give her the world, despite the almost empty savings account. And the rest of the band are still cray-cray but lovable. Its still extremely hot (hey its a rock band, all out pregnancy sex is a must) and still very much a romance between Jazz and Gray despite impending parenthood. Overall Untwisted is a wonderful addition to the series, a longer epilogue that satisfies fans of the series.
