In Sports, Money Talks the opening chapter or chapters you jump into the MLB lockout in the 1990's. The author explains how this lockout was the biggest lockout out ever in professional sports. Throughout the book he talks about other lockouts that have came because of the one that happened in the MLB in the 90's. He shows all the money loss due to lockouts and other things that go into money in the sports business.
This book is a very informational book about professional sports and all the money that revolves around it. I enjoyed this book because I follow some professional sports and I understand all the money that goes with it. I find it interesting how much money players make or how much a professional sports team costs. Some teams listing in the book can cost more than 100 million U.S. dollars. I think it is cool how the author can explain why a team costs that much and how others do not cost as much. Other things talked about in this book that I enjoyed is how much money young professional players make so quick. He explains how the fans feel about all the money that goes to young players so quick. It's interesting to see how young players handle all the money and fame along with how the represent a certain professional team. Those are the things that I enjoyed reading about this book and why I gave it 3 stars.
I would recommend this book to any one who follows professional sports and is interested in the business that revolves around it. This book could be very boring to any one who is not a sports fan and doesn't know about the business with it. My final recommendation for this book is for sports fans interested in business.
