Gabriel is tall, handsome, and has eyes so deep I could drown in them.
And for some reason, he's decided to claim me. No matter where I go, he follows me. No matter how hard I try to hide, he's watching.
And no matter how much I want to forget, I keep tasting his lips on mine.
The coppery taste of Sin.

I met a Lamb.
Pure, innocent, sheltered Levi. He says he doesn't want me, but he tempts me with his gaze, with his lips, with his adorable little mewls.
And he bleeds so beautifully for me.
My boy.
I'll protect him from the evils of the world, the evils that keep him trapped and cowed. I'll show him that there is nothing sinful about what we do together.
I only kill the ones who deserve it.
And anyone who hurts him?
I'll make them suffer so much, they'll beg to be released into hell.
Drag You Down is a part of a serial killer daddies multi-author series called Bloody Desires and ends with an HEA... because every boy needs a serial killer Daddy. Please look inside for TWs.
I write almost exclusive m/m, but I have a fondness for bisexual protagonists. I enjoy a lot of darker themes, so you'll see a lot of that around here.
When I’m not writing, I’m reading, painting, playing video games, and rescuing cats. I also enjoy learning about languages and other cultures.

4.5 “Nobody will ever hurt you again, little lamb. You’re mine now.” stars
A MC in a cult? A vigilante daddy that is obsessed and stalking his boy? A couple that bounds over of their love of blood and making scumbags suffer? Yes please, give me 10 of them thank you.
This book did things for me I haven’t felt in a while. I was just so invested in this one and I kept gasping and nodding my head alone while reading because I was so invested in the story told. I like my reads a little twisted and this one was just hitting all the spots for me. If there was a way to distillate my brain and put it in a book, it would be eerily like the plot of this one, it was just everything I could have ever wanted.
Do you crave it? The pain? Because I can give you pain, Levi. But when I give it to you, it won’t cut you up. It will be beautiful. It will set you free.
Mini Blurb: Levi and Gabriel meet when Levi stumbles upon a dead body in the alley, a body that Gabriel just stabbed to death. Levi is attracted to the smell of the blood and Gabriel, but he is in a religious cult and determined to fight off every temptation, but …
Levi is in a religious cult, and he is convinced that everyone is dirty and impure and a bunch of sinners and will go to help and he is determined to go to heaven and not commit any sin that would ruin his chance. He is convinced that he needs to fight off every temptation, like kissing and everything else. I had a very religious upbringing and ever since I have just been fascinated by every book that features a religious cult and the portrayal of the cult mentality in this book was just so well done. The descriptions of the cult mentality and how it affected every one of Levi’s thoughts and actions were just so vivid and immersive. I just loved how this book portrayed the religious imagery and how it was twisted up by the cult leader to indoctrinate people and make them do everything he wishes. It was done in such a masterful way.
You don’t deserve to be afraid, to be miserable, to be hurt. You deserve love and tenderness and for someone to take care of you.
As mentioned, Levi sees Gabriel as the devil tempting him with blood and murder and this book plays a lot with the idea that Levi needs to do suffer to be absolved of his crimes and stop being chased by the devil and I thought it was just such a clever set up. I loved reading about the dichotomy between Levi’s desires of sex and blood and his very rigid religious upbringing. This book really nailed all of the little details and the portrayal of how every one of Levi’s thoughts was colored by the teachings of the cult leader, and I loved how it seeped in into the romance as well. I really loved reading Levi’s thoughts oscillating between wanting Gabriel and thinking that it was wrong and he shouldn’t go for it. It just made for such fun imagery to read about. And I loved how Gabriel was the first person in Levi’s life that truly saw him for who he is and not as a soul that they can mold into what they wish. The fact that Gabriel wanted to give Levi everything he’s been too scared to want was just perfect.
I loved these two together so much and I loved how their relationship was set up. Levi is convinced that Gabriel was put on earth to tempt him to commit a sin, while Gabriel is obsessed the second he sees Levi and decides that Levi will be his no matter what, even if he must stalk Levi in the process. I am a yearner for an obsessed main character and Gabriel was just the best. He had spoken about 20 words to Gabriel and as far as he was concerned, Levi was his and no one would ever touch Levi again and he was already pondering how it would be like to spend his life with Levi. And that is exactly what I wanted. And I just adored the lengths he was ready to go through to see Levi again, it just really worked for me. Also, special mention to Gabriel and how he worshiped Levi at every second of every day, it was just so good. I loved how Gabriel’s priority in life was to take care of Levi and to make sure that he is always safe and secure.
I’ll make sure to give you everything you need. I’ll protect you from the world and keep you safe in my arms. You won’t ever have to be afraid again.
This story isn't for the faint hearted! The religious/cult aspects of this story made me mad for Levi. This book had spice, dark themes, violence but also tender moments. This book was a page turner & the authors didn't hold back.Gabriel, even though he had a taste for vengeance;you couldn't help but be drawn to his protectiveness & possessiveness of Levi.Levi was so naive, that he was totally lovable right from the first moment we met him.Together they were perfect for each other.Check triggers before reading as there are heavy themes.
I really enjoyed this read. It had my favorite elements (serial killer and religious trauma) so this was a lotta bang for my buck, lol.
It kept my interest the whole time and I kept wanting to go back to it. I thought it was well paced. Gabriel meets his soul match in Levi. They have a very interesting meet cute, making Gabriel totally obsessed, seeing the darkness lurking in Levi that matches his own. Gabriel is a serial killer of very bad men, while Levi is a devoted religious cult member (thought he doesn't see it that way) with certain urges that he sees as his greatest shame.
I really enjoyed Gabriel and Levi's dynamic. Gabriel becomes immediately obsessed with Levi and once he finds out his situation, he becomes even more determined to save him from his current existence, having had experience growing up in a predatory religious environment. He wants to take care of Levi, be his provider, his rock, his lover, his everything. Just one problem, Levi thinks he is the devil sent to temp him. Good thing he is persistent cause he has his work cut out for him. I loved his persistence. He never gave up on Levi, continuing to lure him out of his prison, tempting him body and soul, convincing him he is his Daddy (not his "Father") and only he can truly help him thrive (yes, there is heavy Daddy kink, not usually my thing but it worked here and honestly, if done right, it's super-hot).
Through some ups and downs Gabriel and Levi work towards their HEA. The epilogue was on point for me. I really enjoyed their "quality" time together, IYKYK, wink wink. If you enjoy dark MM romance like I do, you'll probably enjoy this read. As always though check those triggers!
DNF @ 36%. Can't do it. I can't do cults. Dark stalker killer and brainwashed innocent. Different in the fact the MC is still in the cult and not an escapee. The sister's betrayal was a kick in the teeth. Not sure what the other punishment is but the first one was enough and can't really bring myself to continue. Quick pace and one I was looking forward to but yeah too cult for me.

3.5⭐️ Levi has lived most of his life in a controlling cult, and has horrible guilt over his “sins”. He’s drawn to violence and blood. When he finds a dying man in an alley, he’s fascinated. That’s where he meets Gabriel, his Devil, and the man who will be his saviour.
This book has: -insta-love / obsession -escaping a horrible cult -daddy/boy -wild blood play (to the point where the author’s note asks us to imagine we’re in a world where blood-transmitted pathogens don’t exist 😂 love it) -a cat -violence as a love language -stalking
This book was short and entertaining for sure. Never a dull moment, and lots of wild content to keep you on your toes. However, the characters have little depth to them, and you’re not going to find yourself shocked by the plot. This is a great book for if you want easy dopamine 🙌
So this is book 1 in the Bloody desires series, which is 13 books each featuring a different author and is being released throughout the month of August. If the rest is as good as this book, I will be broke by September because this book🔥 Levi is a young man being raised in a cult, and once he meets Gabriel, all bets are off. He tries to avoid temptation he really does, but once he starts opening his eyes and as soon as the word daddy crosses his lips its down hill from there Gabriel has every intention of keeping his boy and not only showing him the light but showing him the darkness as well.
This book ends with a HEA, but be sure to check the triggers.
Drag You Down by Adara Wolf and R. Phoenix is a gripping, dark romance that’s part of the Bloody Desires series—and it does not hold back.
The story follows Levi, a sheltered and naive young man raised in a cult-like environment where he’s been brainwashed to believe that desire is sinful and punishment is deserved. Enter Gabriel—a wealthy businessman with a vigilante streak and a taste for justice served in the darkest ways. To Levi, Gabriel seems like the devil himself, sent to test his faith.
Their first encounter is chilling: Levi stumbles upon Gabriel watching a man die in a secluded courtyard. Instead of running, Levi is drawn to both the scene and the man behind it, convinced it’s a divine test. Gabriel, intrigued by Levi’s innocence and pain, follows him home—and what he uncovers about Levi’s life under the control of “Father” Zachariah sets him on a mission to save him.
What follows is a twisted, emotionally charged push-and-pull between two broken souls. Levi resists Gabriel’s dark allure, even as he experiences pleasure and freedom like never before. Gabriel is determined to rescue Levi—and claim him as his own.
The spice? Dark, delicious, and surprisingly tender. Gabriel gives Levi the “sin” he craves, wrapped in care and intensity that’s both disturbing and beautiful.
This is a hard-won HEA, with Gabriel helping Levi break free from the lies and abuse that shaped his entire worldview. The emotional journey is raw, intense, and deeply satisfying.
⚠️ Trigger Warning: This book dives into heavy themes including manipulation, cult abuse, and violence. Please check content warnings before reading.
Vibes: -Blood and knife play -Vigilante MC -Murder -Spanking -Violence -Daddy/boy -Religious cult -Virgin MC -Possessive MC -Dark -Angst -HEA
Here's Adara Wolf and R Phoenix's "Drag You Down." It's a novel in the multi-author series, Bloody Desires.

Demon in disguise or avenging angel? Why not both? Gabriel is soooo both. He brought blood and death and sin into Levi’s life, but he also saved his life, saved his soul, saved his heart. He brought Levi out of the darkness and showed him the corruption masked as devotion he was taught. And Levi brought light and meaning into Gabriel’s life.
They’ve both been traumatized by religion, but they found support and healing in each other. And lots of beautiful debauched religious metaphors.
Trigger Warnings: stalking, murder, fictional religious cult, trauma, abuse by an authority figure, religious themes, gore, and more.
✝️☠️I'll be the Devil if it chases the shadows away from his eyes😈👿
"He needs me. He needs me to guide him, to nurture him. He needs my loving hand to care for him in this cruel world."
"You don't deserve to be afraid, to be miserable, to be hurt. You deserve love and tenderness and for someone to take care of you."
"Do you crave it? The pain? Because I can give you pain, Levi. But when I give it to you, it won't cut you up. It will be beautiful, and it will set you free."
"You're mine. My beautiful lamb, my wolf. Innocent, but not. Repressed, but unrestrained. All your contradictions belong to me."
"A lamb like him is too tempting for the wolves of the world."
Another fantastic story from this series. I'm loving every book in this series so far. This was pretty dark and erotic. I loved the religious and cult aspects of this book. The flow and characters were fleshed out perfectly. The spice in this was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. The hurt/comfort aspect in this book was done with perfection.
This story follows Levi and Gabriel. Gabriel is a vigilante who kills bad people. He ends up running into Levi during one of these kills. Levi lives in a cult and is brainwashed to believe it's his salvation. Levi ends up thinking Gabriel is the devil. Gabriel becomes obsessed with Levi and needs to make him his. There was so much push and pull in this given the beliefs of Levi. My heart broke for Levi. He went through so much horrible stuff in that cult. Gabriel was the perfect daddy for Levi and saved him in so many ways. I loved Levi's dark side. These two had insane chemistry 🥵🥵. I also loved how Gabriel came from a traumatic religious upbringing as well. I despised Father Zachariah so much! The ending of this book was fantastic and had me smiling 😏😌.
This is part if the Bloody Desires series and is a Dark Romance so please please check the TWs before heading in. It does include a HEA so no worries there.
🌶🌶🌶
Levi is unknowingly part of this religious Cult he sorta got abandoned in. Gabriel is a vigilante taking care of the garbage that slips through the court system. What happens when these two worlds come crashing together...well obsession on Gabriel's part and maybe a huge dose of reality on Levi's. Gabriel has to figure out how to get Levi away from this Cult because he knows just ripping him away will do more harm then good but when he see's that Levi might have some darkness in him that compliments his own he realizes he may have just found the perfect boy for his Caretaking Daddy side. Levi also needs someone who isn't just going to leave him in the situation he is stuck in and then will help take care of him and him get readjusted to life...how ever that may look on the outside. 🔪🔪 I love me a good vigilante and add in Gabriel's Obsessive side I was just like "you got get em' daddy!! Kick that door down!" Lmao There are very frustrating parts because you know with cult books there is alot of brain breaking involved so stick with this one and the HEA is totally worth it.
Levi is innocent, sheltered, and desperate to escape the gaze of Gabriel—a man who feels more like a devil than a savior. Gabriel is relentless, haunting Levi’s every step, claiming him with kisses that taste of sin and promises that blur the line between protection and possession. To Gabriel, Levi is purity incarnate—a lamb he longs to corrupt and cherish. Beneath his charm lies a violent devotion: he kills without remorse, but only those who threaten Levi’s fragile world. As their bond deepens into something dangerous and consuming, Levi must decide whether Gabriel is his salvation… or the darkness he can’t resist.
I loved this dark story of obsession wrapped in velvet and blood. The story was darkly seductive and emotionally intense. There were plenty of twists and turns in this story as Gabriel investigated the man who controlled the community that Levi lived in. Very strong emotions and feelings from both men as they struggled with the implications of Gabriel's obsession with Levi. This was an MM story with mature content.
*** Please read the trigger warnings and be kind to yourself.
I gave this three stars because it wasn’t terribly written and it was readable, probably more like 2.5 stars rounded up. I don’t like serial killers, even the Dexter type that kill “bad guys”, serial killers are gross. Also don’t like religious zealots. I get it, he was pulled into a cult as an adolescent, but zealots gross me out nonetheless.
Also, okay, I can deal with a blood kink, but licking a stranger’s blood?! Are we in a make believe world where HIV and Meningitis don’t exist? I was okay with Gabriel not wearing a condom because that is a reality I am willing to suspend disbelief on in my mm romance. But random (evil) people’s blood is a step too far.
I kind of liked that Gabriel had no time for his sister. Not because of how she behaved because she would have been a cockblock character like kids are in single dad romances (which I generally hate). So he was like, here’s a little studio 30 minutes away. Shut the fuck up.
This story was such a beautiful whirlwind! Gabriel and Levi became two halves of the same dark soul. I am a sucker for a psychopath who lays claim and does everything they can to not only protect what is theirs, but does everything they can to make them happy and safe. Gabriel became the Daddy he was always ment to be for Levi and Levi bloomed under that attention and care. I was so invested in Levi’s growth throughout this story under Gabriel’s hand and through his own needs surfacing. His acceptance of himself and what he wanted in life was powerful! My only gripe with this book was that it was shorter then I anticipated, it felt like we needed more of these two to see that deep impact of their relationship changing both of them. It felt like we got to only see the surface of these men. Still a great read and a book I recommend for all the dark daddy lovers out there!
I loved this story. It had all the right things in it and most of all, a protector who is also a killer when needed.
Levi is so blinded by what goes on in the world due to the life he is living that isn’t his fault. He was following his mother. When he takes a detour on his way home, he meets the devil as he believes but is actually his angel.
Gabe seeks those who have harmed the innocent and gotten away with their crimes. He seeks out justice for them. One evening he finds his other half that he never thought possible. He only wishes that the boy didn’t leave him. He will do whatever it takes to get him back.
These two have a rough beginning but it needs it. They both have to get to know each other and Levi needs to realize what the truth is. Gabe will wait as long as he has to.
Such a good book with a protector who will do his best to make sure no harm comes to his lamb.
This is an age gap dark romance, featuring Levi and Gabriel, and is book one in the Bloody Desires multi author series.
Levi meets Gabriel, a dark and dangerous man who becomes obsessed with him and won’t let him go. Despite the danger, their twisted connection grows into a fierce, possessive love.
This story a little intense, twisted, emotional, and surprisingly tender, with a protective Daddy who will do anything for his boy—even unalive anyone that would hurt him.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 1 Multi author series MM dark romance Check CW Age gap Vigilante MC x Virgin MC Stalking Hurt / Comfort Religious cult & abuse Self-flagellation Spicy times All the firsts Daddy kink (no age play) Spanking Blood play & scratching Unaliving Calls him little lamb HEA
When I came across this book I thought wow sounds interesting. But also curious why I stars will I be disappointed in some way? Well I was so not disappointed! However, remember this is a dark book so check CW's.
So the spice lvl is 3/5 lots of guilty pining, obsession early on. But sexy times about half way, strict roles. Levi our innocent lamb, is more than just the scared boy Gabriel initially meets. And even as he holds onto his current life you will notice him become more than a scared boy. Gabriel I adored he is a devoted daddy one moment and an agent of vengeance another.
If you like dark books give this a try you won't regret it.
A bit too insta, OTT, and unrealistic but definitely entertaining.
I'm completely biased since I tend to avoid books dealing with heavy religious trauma, but I still enjoyed Levi's path to freedom and self-discovery.
“I’m not afraid of him. I’m afraid of temptation. I’m afraid of what this means for me. I’m afraid of this pleasure, of knowing I’ll never feel it again.”
I have a complicated relationship with religion, so I think that Levi's struggles with uncertainty about what to believe is understandable. That portrayal was good, even if he “got better” surprisingly fast by the end of the book.
For a serial killer, Gabriel is weirdly sweet and nurturing, so he was perfect for Levi, who'd been sheltered and lost.
A dash of religious trauma to accompany your vigilante
This was a nice read. Hmm…nice feels like the wrong word. I don’t deal with religious /cult trauma, but if you do, bypass this one or brace yourself. As far as dark goes, this was maybe a reeeeaaaalllly dark grey. Compared to the religious stuff, the moments I’d normally find dark were kind of uplifting. I’ll say probably 90% of the darkness comes from Levi’s time as part of the religious commune he was a member of. This one is also has a good dose of spice, but I find those scenes hard to get into in that way when one of the MCs is mentally regressed and comes off more like a child.
With that said, this was still fun to get through. I mean, who doesn’t love a morally grey hero?
This is a dark, twisted, streamy read with some surprisingly sweet moments too. I enjoyed the dynamic between Gabriel and Levi and I thought their HEA was well-written. It was a non-stop read, never a dull moment and I was glad to see how Levi developed as the book progressed. I'd say this is a good book but not my favourite by the authors. I wish there was a little bit more depth to the wider world building and to Gabriel's backstory. I think it was also right on the edge of too much religious talk for me to really lose myself in these two like I wanted to. If I could give half stars, I'd go with 3.5.
Wow, the pacing of this book was phenomenal. I was hooked from chapter one and finished it in one sitting. Levi and Gabriel were both very intriguing characters. I love how the authors write dark romance, the characters were morally grey but I understood them and in some cases felt for them. They were complex, with interesting backstories and their chemistry was explosive. The premise of the book was also very interesting, I find stories about cults fascinating. If you're a fan of dark romance books I highly highly recommend it. Just make sure you read the trigger warnings first.
OH..... WOW....... Drag you Down by Adara Wolf and R Phoenix is absolutely brilliant another great addition to the Bloody Desires series I could not put it down was hooked from the start its dark & deadly love Gabriel and Levi together they are perfect for each other love...... how possessive and protective Gabriel gets as soon as he sees Levi he knows he's his and will do anything to protect his boy and keep him safe love their dynamic amazing recommend so much.
1st person POV Dual Plot 4/5 Spice 2/5 Darkness 3.5/5 ( things get BLOODY!)
What a way to kick off the Bloody desire series! This book hooked me! I loved the cult storyline! My heart broke for Levi and how his time with that a**hole warped his sense of self! Gabriel really is an avenging angel!
I really think this book shows the darker side of how some can twist religious beliefs to fit what they want it to or their way of thinking!
Adara Wolf and R.Phoenix have done it again, showcasing their amazing writing chemistry in this hit.
Levi is relatable for those who have experienced religious trauma and cults, often bringing you to want to wrap him in a blanket and protect him from himself whereas Gabriel is his avenging angel, ready to own and care for him.
Always looking forward to it when this duo writes and they did not disappoint!
⭐️⭐️✨ you know, i should really stop reading books that are so heavily religious because they make me mad every time. i don’t fault people in cults, of course not, they are being manipulated and it’s not their fault. but the plot still makes me mad every time i can’t really explain it. and even after the cult, the book had a lot to do with religion and stuff idk i just stopped caring
