As Polly wakes up from her coma, her memories come rushing back, and she decides to write one final love letter to Dylan —a kind of apology, if you will, sort of.

First, she needs to break out of the facility where she’s being held. Even if the investigation into her case is closed, it doesn’t mean she’s free from trouble.

Revenge? Yes.
Disgusting men? YES.

We open with a Kill Bill reference, and that’s how you KNOW it’s about to be good!!

Literally, this is an homage to Kill Bill.

Look, you know I hate to talk about politics and controversial things, but Kill Bill is a masterpiece; I said it.

This is Camphouse doing what she does best: taking horrifying, disgusting, taboo things and making them hit in ways you don’t expect. Is it gross? Nah-ish (Okay, a little bit, yeah).

Did I love it? Oh, hell yes.

Dexter is backkkkk and he is out for blood🩸

Again I am left speechless, gross out, and wanting more. Just like that Lesley A. Camphouse University Metaverse has gracefully entered the entire chat! Because WHAT!!??? I don’t even know where to start.

This book follows Polly as she navigates the aftermath of being ok the brink of death. Now she must survive with her wit and predator smarts. She has a list and she is going after everyone on it and I love it. I love a strong FMC and I have to admit Polly is a baddie.

At the point when other characters in LACUM intersect I was like OMG really !?!? After reading other books by Lesley the dots start connecting and I lived for it. This book was a quick read and the action, as always was non stop. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series because I cannot wait. The Apex series is a must read thank me later.

Thank you Lesley, for the ARC I am always grateful the opinions expressed here are my own.

Polly wakes up from a coma after a close encounter with death. She immediately realizes that she has been taken advantage of while staying in a terrible hospital. This sparks a new invigoration for Polly and her revenge-seeking persona as she continues her mission of taking down evil men.

Polly is just such an addictive character to read about. I love that she is ruthless, but I also love her DGAF attitude. She’s confident and crazy and also funny at times. I love hearing her thoughts. She seems like she would be a lot of fun to hang out with (assuming u don’t get in her bad side).

Once she has a hit list, she follows through with it with precision.

I liked the connections to other characters from other stories. I also liked the recollection of Dylan and their time together from Apex Prey. Polly always finishes what she starts.

A quick brutal novella that will make you go 🫣 I love the open ended ending leaving many possibilities for Polly’s future. Lesley could write 10 books about Polly and I’d read them all!

Polly is BACK! BOLDER, BLOODIER, AND MORE BRUTAL than ever.

Apex Prey: The Reaping is THE CHERRY ON TOP of what was probably one of the best unhinged trilogies I've read in a long time.

The Pacing? Relentless, I couldn't get enough 🫣🫣

The violence? Creative Genius 🤯🤓

The Ending? Brutally Perfect 👌

Waking from a coma with memories flooding in like a tidal wave of trauma, Polly knows exactly what she has to do: escape the facility that thinks it can contain her and write one final, twisted love letter to Dylan.

And NO, We aren't talking heartfelt goodbyes, hell NO! This apology is soaked in vengeance. Let's just say it was messy. It was violent, and in my eyes, absolutely perfect! What a way to end a trilogy!

Let's just say limbs we're flying, blood was spurting everywhere, and faces just getting smashed in with a force so satisfying, I was literally screaming YES! DIE MTHR FKER, you'd think it was me exerting my rage...

Oh, and if you ever get stuck with what to do with some dildos you happen to have just lying around, get a few tips from Lesley. She's got a few tips on how and which orifices to stick them up in 😳🤣🌶

There was something so wickedly satisfying about watching Polly and the way her vengeance played out. She's reclaiming her power, and her revenge was everything to me. Thank you so much, Lesley, for turning vengeance into an art form.

Extreme horror has always been my escape. It's a place where my real-life worries fade away, and I can lose myself in someone else’s nightmare.

For just a little while, I got to watch the world burn through someone else's eyes. And Lesley, you gave me the fire, but I lit the match.

Thank you for giving us Polly. For her pain, her descent into madness, but mostly for her revenge. It's that reminder that sometimes, the darkest stories shine the brightest.

To all the amazing indie authors and my friends who write extreme horror, you all know who you are! You've helped turn my frown upside down and replaced it with a grin soaked in blood. 🖤

Polly, Apex Prey and The Reaping - Lesley A. Camphouse @authorlacamphouse
This whole trilogy gets published on the 7th of July, 2025 so put this date on your calendar. 🤩

My heart goes out to Polly and her older sister Hazel who are being born in the vile family of a useless mother and a monstrosity as a father. Let me tell you that life didn’t treat them well, to put it extremely mild. This is the story of Polly, how she became the revengeful woman she is nowadays and her sense of justice towards minors being assaulted.

Hooked from chapter one, book one where Polly sees the light of day and meets her parents. I was so cringed by how Polly’s father treated his newborn child. Lesley always knows how to shock me to the core and it’s the best feeling hehe. We follow her through her earliest years and it was really interesting to learn more about it.

In book two Polly goes on a killing spree to hunt a specific ingredient she extracts from human bodies only to maintain a youthful appearance.

In book three Polly awakes from a coma in a hospital/asylum. She needs to break free from it to fulfill her promise to Dylan. That doesn’t happen without a few hitches getting in the way, but Polly is perfectly capable of dealing with that.

Brutally, bloody and wild!! 🔥🔥🔥I devoured everything Lesley came up with and the pacing is perfect as always. I’ve read each book in one sitting. Amazing how other storylines came together with Polly’s and my feeling says there’s more to come! Or is it just pure longing from my side? 😁🖤

Three more gems from Lesley A Camphouse’s brilliant mind. It almost gets monotone, but all the books in the trilogy get 5 stars from me.

Back to my girl, Polly!!

Apex Prey: The Reaping is the sequel to Apex Prey. If you remember Apex Prey, you know in which state Polly was. Turns out she's not dead (gladly!); she has been in a coma for months, and poor girl, not even at that moment she's safe. In that state, she's been abused—only God knows how many times. The thing that pig didn't see coming is, our girl woke up, and she's sick of these bastards.

Lesley can't do wrong. I've been DEVOURING her books one after another. And this will continue because she's stuck with me now. The writing is so good; she knows exactly how to keep you hooked and interested in the story. No matter the book's length, the reading goes fast because you get so immersed in the plot and what's happening that you simply can't put the book down until you finish it. And even when you finish the book, you want to start it again.

Apex Prey: The Raping comes out on July 7th, so mark your calendars! The whole trilogy comes out, and let me tell you. You don't want to miss this.

I loved this book so much. I think out of the trilogy this has been my favourite so far. I really enjoyed how the story unfolded and expanded. How feminine rage and revenge were explored in this book.

I enjoyed the ‘Easter eggs’ if you will character cross over. I don’t feel like this story has finished. Lesley’s writes her characters so so well. You can’t help but get behind their unhinged and vengeful behaviour.

Lesley is fast becoming an auto buy author and I fully intend to look back into her back catalogue and get all of her books read.

Polly is back! And she’s incredibly pissed off!

Polly is one of my favourite characters in extreme horror, and as much as I loved Apex Prey, the ending left me very sad, or so I thought!

Waking up from a coma, Polly finds once again that absolute garbage men are all around her, and she finds a new purpose in life - revenge.

As the ‘Lesleyverse’ continues to expand, those of you who have read Ingest Me and Roll For Initiative will see how all three books now fit together, and I’m so excited to see where this goes!

Polly took a little break, but MANNNNN did she make a return! Absolute carnage left and right, with absolutely zero mercy for men. God, do I LOVE Polly.
And our three favourite ladies Polly, Gemma and Evie possibly teaming up? GIRL, THAT'LL BE THE FEMININE RAGE FINAL BOSS.

The sequel to Apex Prey is exactly what I wanted. An in-depth look in to what happens to Polly in the aftermath of Apex Prey.

In this book we find Polly wanting to escape an asylum and seek revenge, not sure for herself but for Dylan. She crosses paths with a few of my favourite Wrath filled females and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Another smash from Lesley, shes hitting them out of the park just for fun at this point.

Apex Prey The Reaping is the absolute perfect ending to the trilogy for Polly and the mentions from the 2 books Ingest Me Too and Roll For Initiative that the author put in here mind-blowing 🤯

Polly wakes up to the same cycle of abuse so as she does best she starts taking her calculated revenge. Now I read the Ingest Me series first so I obviously got a surprise when Evie showed up and it was really fun getting the other side of the story.

Polly ends up going back to everything as it was before and her last act was a twisted love letter apology to Dylan the only man she ever cared for. In a weird way it was kinda sweet.

Now when Gemma makes an appearance you know I had to go and immediately read Roll For Initiative which gave the full picture and all I can say is God I hope there's a budding twisted masochistic sisterhood coming.

As always please read the warning contents before diving in and decide if this is for you or not!

An amazing ending (?) to our beloved Polly. That being said I feel like we potentially are being set up for more?
Polly, Gemma, and Evie? A revenge trio? (Just me getting too excited)

Lesley has done it, yet again!
Polly wakes from her coma following the events of Apex Prey, she has survived, she always does. With a new fuel to her fire, she is determined to escape and punish her lovers tormentor. Along with some pigs from the hospital. Polly is calculated, hilariously dark, and violent!!

What an end to a trilogy!

Apex prey- The Reaping

Polly is back and she’s not letting a small thing such as, being in a little coma or locked up in a mental institution stop her from getting her revenge & continuing to be the bad ass she is of course 😌

I was happy to see Polly is still her hilarious quirky self 😅 I absolutely loved the interlinks of previous characters in this. It’s like jogging your memory every time you spot a name 👏🏼

This was a perfect end to the trilogy, I’ve loved every single one of them & Polly will forever be my fav FMC ☺️

Releasing 7th July, you can pre-order the full trilogy now 👌🏻🤎

Polly is back! Dynamite comes in small packages and Polly is not to be underestimated! After awakening from a coma as she is being violated, Polly cunningly deals out excruciating revenge and this time she has a
list of names! How do Monsters deal with the Monsters they created? They don’t. They die. Apex Prey The Reaping is terrifyingly twisted and Polly’s methods of torture is wildly wicked. Once AGAIN, Lesley A. Camphouse delivers depravity mixed with pleasurable revenge! The Apex Prey Trilogy is the retribution survivors dream of. A well-written, grossly descriptive (in all the best ways), gory, chilling, rage fueled revenge story that leaves me wanting more! 🍾Here’s to hoping for more from Polly and crew! 🥂

The story starts off where Apex Prey ended and it is just pure unbridled revenge! (as is only right and proper 😁)

The Kill Bill style beginning really sets the tone for the rest of the book, and when I say tone I mean savage bloodbath lol. The real fun and games begin when Polly finally gets her mittens on that nasty little freak Jimmy and his bonus buddy, and the butchery just doesn’t stop; getting more and more unhinged with every “victim” (though I’m loathe to call them that tbh)

The crossovers with “Roll for Initiative” and “Ingest Me, Too” were so good. I absolutely loved the ending and I hope we get to see more crossover antics with the girls in the future 😁

What we have here is when in my opinion the queen of splatterpunk decides to do an avengers assemble for the camphouse novels

We start in a facility where polly has awoken from her coma and found out she’s been basically a sleeping beauty.

Polly needs to exact her revenge on Dylan’s tormenter but we meet some very familiar faces along the way I don’t want to spoil anything but in all honesty get this book read the descriptive payback will keep you coming back for more

I throughly enjoyed this book and have been honoured to Beta read for Lesley but these thoughts are completely my own

Those evil monsters won't survive meeting Polly!

When Polly wakes from her coma, her memories crash back—and so does her need to write one final, blood-soaked love letter to Dylan. But first she has to escape the facility holding her “for her own good.”

Polly is unhinged, relentless, and impossible to look away from. Maybe, with Gemma at her side, she might finally have the partner she needs to take down even more monsters. Dark, sharp, and wickedly addictive.

Cant wait to see if there is more to this story.

Vile men be damned! If you’re a man who likes to prey on underaged girls or SA unconscious women, Polly has some fun in store for you ☺️.

This one was my favorite in the series! Ahhh if only predators could have this story in the back of their mind.. maybe they wouldn’t be so quick to act on their disgusting impulses.

Thank you, Lesley, for the fun read! I’m going to miss Polly.. what do I do with myself now that I’m done!?

An epic and beautifully terrifying conclusion to Polly's story!
Or... is it?

Once again, Lesley managed to make me love horror with the details she put in the story and her amazing writing style.

I loved seeing Evie appear in this book and I am curious to discover Gemma's story as well!

I hope we'll see more of those unhinged women in future books!

ARC REVIEW “APEX PREY: THE REAPING” 💀💜 Book 3 in Apex Prey Trilogy

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am so glad this book went well and Polly had her revange on those who made bad things to her. I am really happy at the ending of the trilogy and I will miss this baddie so much!

This book is the lightest of all of them but I loved it, less horror and gore and all of that and I think it’s my favorite. Thank you so much Lesley for the opportunity to read this trilogy. ✨

Lesley Camphouse delivers a savage, unrelenting journey into revenge and rage. Apex Prey: The Reaping is extreme horror at its most brutal. Polly’s transformation from victim to predator is disturbing and strangely empowering. She’s not seeking justice—she is the punishment.

The violence is graphic and the emotion raw. Camphouse doesn’t just tell horror—she unleashes it. Every book cements her place as one of the most fearless voices in modern horror fiction.

Not for the faint of heart, but essential for fans of the extreme. I’ll be thinking about Polly—and this book—for a long time.

What An Ending!

When I thought there couldn’t be anymore beautiful violence I could not stomach, I was wrong. This was such a great trilogy, and I am sad to see this end. The author really knows how to bring you into her world, and from what she has described in her books, you’d think she was a doctor, with all the descriptions of medical terminology. I really want to continue my journey reading her work. This series opened my eyes and mind to another deep part of what I was missing in my reading. I have read a lot of authors, and Lesley is definitely in my top ones now. Keep the darkness coming, and can’t wait to see what is next!

After ending up in a coma Polly comes round. To a place she doesn’t want to find herself and is immediately plotting revenge against them! We get to see how Polly felt with the encounter with Evie and also what she’s been doing in her spare time.

I loved that characters from her other books have made an appearance and hoping for the trio to become a little killer pact of girls! Once again a gripping tale from the author that I couldn’t put down as I love the world Polly transports me to!

I love the authors writing style and always get well into the stories! Super excited for whatever else she brings as I’ve read them all and loved them all

And finally. The reaping.
After Polly wakes up, she finds herself in a hospital. You know a safe space. WRONG. This trilogy has just made me dislike men even more 🤣
Absolutely loved the little easter eggs in here with characters popping in from other books Lesley has written.

Revenge. I have so many thoughts. I need a book with all 3 final girls. The cameos continue to blow me away & the fact I read them intertwined enough, I was able to catch Evie and Gemma. I 100% am absolutely obsessed with Leslie’s writing style, her brain, everything. Polly is perfect, sexy, smart, toxic asf!!! I’m in love with her & hope to see more of her soon.
