Alexander White, the wealthy business man with looks to die for. Just like the other colours you’d think.......but no.
He came from a very different place and made some of his money a very different way.
And he keeps it well hidden because the truth would destroy everything he has. All that he’s worked for would be gone in an instant if they ever found out what he’s capable of, or what he really did and who he did it for. So he keeps people far away with metaphorical games and walls to deceive and confuse.
He doesn’t do relationships, he doesn’t do emotions and he certainly doesn’t do love..... whatever the hell that might be.
He does money. Making it, manipulating it and spending it whist he plays with women who know what they’re signing up for when they walk in the room.
Three people shaped who he is today. One damaged him beyond repair, another taught him to control the rage, and a decent one helps him to consider his options more appropriately than his own head might allow.
But be under no illusions ladies, Mr White has not been a nice man, and he will probably never be a decent man but as long as he keeps up his image, and nothing gets through his barriers, no one will ever see the truth.

Life’s good for Elizabeth Scott, successful business, happy kitchen and a great sister who deals with all the expensive people so she doesn’t have to. She just cooks, bakes and smiles her way through each day......well most of the time anyway, that is when her great sister isn’t pushing her to, “get out there a bit more,” or “sort her shit out.”
Then the biggest contract of their lives comes up..... And the ever useless London tube, with her sister in it, catastrophically breaks down. Unfortunately that means only one thing, she’ll have to deal with some of that wealth herself and that means the devastating Mr Alexander White in all his glory.
Life suddenly couldn’t get worse, regardless of his unfairly gorgeous backside.
She has no idea what the hell she’s doing.

OMG!!! Where do I start, LOVED, ADORED, DEVOURED, Seeing White By Charlotte E Hart.
Why have I never read anything by this author before?
You know when sometimes things just click well that is this story, Seeing White is the pickle to my cheese, The flower for my Bee, you get the euphemism I'm sure.
From the moment I picked this up I was completely transfixed, nothing was stopping me not even that pesky clock ticking away the night time minutes.
And as the sun started to rise I finished!!!!
On a bloody cliffhanger grrrr!!!
So it's six o'clock in the morning and what do I do now, sleep you may think, oh no I start book two, well I so had to know, I was shattered, but how could I possibly think of sleep at such a traumatic time.
Naughty, Bad, Paranoid Alex White!!! sabotaging herself so completely and poor Elizabeth How could you Alex you utter shit!!!
So I suppose I should give you a brief outline of events.
Ruthless, emotionless Business Alex White sees something he wants and goes for it.
In this instant, it's naive Elizabeth Scott, Baker Extraordinaire with a small catering business she runs with her sister and friend.
How is Elizabeth to resist such potent experienced charisma, well she's not, she doesn't stand a bloody chance, sigh.
Alex knows she's too good for him but wants her all the same, but as a man who has no experience of female love relationships, he's sure to screw up at some point.
let the games begin (rubbing hands together in glee)
So Alex is a hard man to analyse, he's like a chameleon or perhaps a prism with so many different facets to his personality, most of his hang-ups rooted in a scarring devastating past.
not all wounds are visible to the naked eye some are so deeply buried you need a crowbar to pry free
or Elizabeth Scott that is.
Elizabeth's view of the world is so much more simple, she's happy just being herself and what you see is what you get, she can't believe, that Alex is interested in simple ole her.
Alex's world is such an eye-opening revelation and she's finding the decadence to his lifestyle more appealing than she thought, she's falling for his kinky derriere fast, and his ropes and dominance are surprisingly just an added bonus.
So from all my major waffling you can probably see there's not much I didn't like about seeing white if I had to really nit pick and find something then mmmm it would have to be the sister Belle I found her a trifle annoying and overbearing at times, totally got why she was that way but still found it somewhat irritating.
So Just so you know Alex White utter devilish Kinky bastard, Elizabeth Scott naive but fiesty submissive, combine the two explosive.
I will leave you with a lovely quote from Alex that made me put my hand on heart and squeal aw!!!

“Jesus Christ, you just don’t get it, do you? All this you see, it’s not really me - the pretty face and the money and the added extras. I’m nothing beneath the façade. I’m just empty, and you have no idea what I am.” He rakes his hand through his hair and growls, mostly at himself, I think. “You’re such an inspiration to me, a ray of light in a very cold and dark world. I’m an utter bastard to ask you to be with me simply because you deserve better than this, than me.” He looks uncertain. It’s uncharacteristic and slightly odd. I lean back into my seat and stare at him as he exhales. Oh, right. Well, that’s inspirational, beautiful and desolate, what a great combination. I so want him.

Enough said folk!!!

In the name of the wee man!. This book knocked ma wee socks off, and ma knickers seem to have gone with them!

It was all kinds of dark and erotic and it got my blood pumping...to one place in particular, lol.
However! I am still coming to grips with the ending! My heart hurts and my eyes are stinging :-(
In the words of my poor wee mum “It’s no braw”. (Translation: It’s not pretty)

BETH

I love Beth. Seriously. She’s a kind wee soul who has a firm and sensible head on her shoulders, knows what she does and does not like and is quite happy with the way things are going in her life...That is until she meets Mr White.

Och, my goodness! She thought she knew what she wanted but as it turns out she had no idea what else was out there and Alexander White is just dying to show her.

Mm-hmm peeps, he introduces her to his dark little BDSM lifestyle and holy shit! can that man top!
Her whole world is turned upside down and she feels completely out of her depth. She feels inadequate and “less” somehow compared to all these fancy people around them. Not to mention she’s way out of her comfort zone with Alexander himself.

She has a feeling that he’ll bring her trouble and she’s right but she can’t seem to say no to him.
I feel you girl.

ALEXANDER

So, this man is an arrogant, self-assured, womanizing, dominating, arsehole. And I couldn’t want him more than I do, to be honest.
He is sin wrapped up in the most delectable body with a knicker melting smile.
There is so much more to the man than what he shows the world though and very few people know much about him at all.
He has a dark past and some serious mental health issues that he tries to control in his own way through controlled violence and intense BDSM play.
As much as he’s blown Beth away, she has done the same to him, not that he’ll admit it to her though.
It’s making him feel some things that he thought he never would and never wanted to.
Seriously there is so much going on inside this man. And we’ve barely scratched the surface.

SEX SCENES
Wow...seriously I’m struggling to figure out a way to tell you how hot the sex was between these two. She was so innocent to his type of world, but now? He’s awoken something in her that needs feeding!

“Please, Alex. Fuck me, please...” I shout, trying to still my aching body and failing miserably. Painstakingly slowly, he guides himself inside me, inch by inch, stretching me wider, pulling out a little and then gently pushing back in again. Oh, God. I can’t breathe. Desperate for him to drive forward harder, I kick at his back and use my strength to propel him forward. He drops me instantly and pulls out as he moves his hand to my throat, softly stroking it and gently wrapping his hand around it. He won’t even do that with the pressure I need from him. “You can’t force me. It’s all my decision. Now do as you’re fucking told and stay still or I’ll come in your mouth and leave you here with nothing,” he growls in my ear, unnervingly quietly. “Do you understand me?” “Yes. Please, just...” I pant out as calmly as I can. Keeping his hand on my throat and increasing the tension slightly, he pushes himself back inside in an unhurried manner and grinds his hips against me leisurely. My breath catches at the sensation of being full of him as he gives me the pressure I need but still refuses me the aggression I want. “Yes,”I hiss in his ear. “Please, more. Harder... More,” I ramble while trying desperately to stay still and not speed him up. Pulling back and easing himself in again, he groans low in his throat and picks up his pace a little, increasing the force. I can feel the throbbing beginning and welcome it with open arms. His rhythm becomes more insistent as the deep pounding begins and I moan incoherently in response, knowing I won’t be long and neither will he. “You’re so fucking perfect. Why do you have to be so fucking perfect?” he groans into my ear as he slams into me and kisses me with passion and fury.

FINAL THOUGHTS on SEEING WHITE by Charlotte E Hart

I am loving everything about this book.
I love how she shakes his control so much and has no idea what she does to him. I love the rough play, I love ALL of the other characters. I just need to know what happens next!

Alex White is a force to reckoned with, a man with a mountain sized burden on his shoulders; a haunted past and struggles with his own emotions. When he meets young cater, Elizabeth Scott he seems bewitched and thrown out of his comfort zone. Struggling with how he feels towards her and his imploring anger towards anything that questions him. But, he's an alpha dominant man, he may be an unpleasant bastard and an arrogant imbecile but you can't help but fall in love with his alpha ways and heart breaking lying good looks. I'm p***ed it ended on a cliffhanger because I was almost crying and shouting at the end at Alex's idiotic thoughts and presumptions.

I sure can't wait to see what happens in Feeling White, which I have pre ordered ready. This is a story that will take you places not many books will. It brings out your emotions like a rollercoaster and my god, I recommend everyone reads this!

Aimed at audiences of 18+ with graphic content readers may find offensive.

Who is Alexander White really? Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde?

It took me a while to get into the story because I wasn't connecting with the characters but it definitely got better during the second half of the book.
I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

OMG, for lovers of 50 Shades that didn't get enough in the sexy department...YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THIS!!! The characters are awesome..So well written and full of grit! I love the angsty relationship between Belle and Conner and how it turns into Liz and Alex meeting. I loved the trip, literally the fall with the strawberry mousse...
The sexiness factor is out of this world hot! The bdsm thrown in is fabulous. The storyline is so intriguing and well written. I understand there were some 1 and 2 stars out there and if you read them you'll see it was mostly due to editing. This book has been edited and rereleased and I think you'll find it SO worth your time to give it a read. It's wonderfully well written, amazing characters, hot n sexy...Holy cow, the library scene...breathless...
I can't wait to get to the crux of Alex's issues and I hope Elizabeth can stand up to him and be the woman he needs her to be. I can't wait for book 2 Feeling White to come out. Really, I think you'll love this and I have no problems giving it 5 full stars, and more if I could.

It was a little hard to get into the book at the beginning. It jumped all over the place and had details that weren't useful because they were incomplete and confusing. I started to enjoy it deeper into the book but it still didn't feel like it developed enough. I've read the reviews for the next two books and they aren't convincing me to continue because it appears Pascal somehow becomes involved in their relationship (seriously their relationship has enough issues) and a lot of people say they hated the way the third book ended. Considering I'm not thrilled with how the first book ended, I'm not inclined to purchase and read the next two.

THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THE ENTIRE TRILOGY.

WARNING! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!

OKAY, FIRST IF YOU'RE NOT A FAN OF BDSM OR MENAGE TROIS, AND MAYBE A LITTLE M/M ACTION....THEN DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO PURSUE THIS TRILOGY.

I WAS A LITTLE BUMPED, AND VERY FRUSTRATED WHILE I WAS READING THIS ENTIRE TRILOGY FOR THE WEEKEND. IT CONSUMED MY TIME, YES. IT WAS A RATHER LENGTHY STORY THAT MADE ME QUESTION IF IT WAS NECESSARY TO BE THAT LOOOOONG. I'M NOT A FAN OF BDSM MUCH...DO I LIKE EROTICA? YES. BUT ANYTHING CLOSE TO IT, OR HAVING THAT ANGST WITH THE STABBING CHEST PAIN IS WELCOME....BDSM AND PAIN? NOT NECESSARY FOR ME TO ENJOY IT.

I LIKE A GOOD DEPRAVED STORY, FILLED WITH LOTS OF DELICIOUS SEX AND ANGST WITH A STRONG HEROINE. THE WHITE TRILOGY IS KIND OF LIKE EVERYTHING ROLLED UP INTO ONE. WHEN YOU FINISH READING ONE BOOK, YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH IT ALL, IT CANNOT GET ANY WORSE OR COMPLICATED. TRUST ME, THE AUTHOR JUST SLAPS YOU IN THE FACE WITH SOMETHING NEW.

OUR HERO was a very complicated and complex persona that I am unable to be eloquent about how I should portray him to you. One moment you think you get him, then he turns on you so quickly. In the first book, it started off as any kind of alpha male meets hot heroine kind of story in the club. Sure, there's going to be the pursuing, and the dominant male who won't take no for an answer. That is hardly scratching the surface of how FUCKED UP Alexander White is. If I ever meet someone like him, I would say run in the opposite direction. He's just TOO MUCH TROUBLE to handle. Alex is the most complex hero up to date that I have read. He's not psychotic or depraved. I've read those. He's more caught up in his personal demons of a very bad childhood, and his way of releasing or coping is through BDSM. Surprised? Can't say I was. I was expecting that part. The only thing I didn't expect was for the story to turn into M/F/M. That little surprise didn't please me at all. I was signing up for more of an hero and heroine exclusive only. I absolutely didn't like the way Alex dealt with certain scenarios.

Scenario 1 - This was the cliffhanger that ended the first book, and I didn't like how easy he jumped to conclusions about the 'cliffhanger' instead of ASKING the heroine for the truth. He turned tail, left a goodbye note and bam, that's it. What a fucker.

Scenario 2 - When the heroine pushes him to give more and confide in her about his past etc etc, he turns into a raging monster who blames her for pushing him. Well, technically they did have an open communication but while I want to say I don't want to blame him because of his traumatic past....is that really right? I don't condone physical violence (mutual sex play doesn't count), and his being physically forceful when his temper explodes? Not cool.

Scenario 3 - This one really pushed my buttons. Alex's mind works rather differently from a normal person, a conclusion you will easily attain once you've read the first book. When he tries to prove a point, he does it with a commendable determination that just literally drives home his point. I didn't like the fact that he made Tara the slut blowjob him, or kissed her in front of a tied up Elizabeth just to make her hate him. No, it wasn't the typical jealous love scene, this was him trying to convince her that anger had made him murderer. Bleh, yucks.

Scenario 4 - He loves Elizabeth but as a all-encompassing and loving Dom for the first time in his life, he wants her to experience that love. As fucked up as it sounds. I honestly cannot appreciate the dynamics of BDSM master and sub relationship. I mean sure it's been put out there a few times, but the entire thing just proves to be so dehumanizing and it's all just a bunch of rules made up by people to please themselves. Anyways, his complicated and not nearly sexual relationship with Pascal, his mentor and something more (not lover though) was the one thing that BUGGED me A LOT. He knows that Elizabeth wants Pascal to fuck her (horny bitch) and while it bugged him to have another man do that to the woman he loves, he does it anyway which comes into play the menage trois.

In a nutshell, Alexander White is a mass of contradictions and a headache waiting to explode.

OUR HEROINE was such a nice woman in the beginning, I rather liked her at first until she got dragged into Alexander White's dark world. She fell in love with a man who still battles his own demons, and it's something that stays with him for eternity, so he needs that kind of release to cope....and it's all that pain, flogging, sex. Oh, and I forgot to mention he was involved in drugs and murder before. Think of worse kind of man except being a rapist, and you have Alexander White. Elizabeth and Alex's attraction was inevitable and I enjoyed their world with just the two of them UNTIL PASCAL was introduced. Who's Pascal? To me, he's like the third wheel in the relationship, one that Elizabeth will have to accept either way if she wasn't already lusting for him. Okay, I totally disliked it when Elizabeth's inner slut came out to play. She can slut all she wants for Alex, but she lusted for Pascal too. Wtf? I'm a one man woman, and today I'm not looking to read for M/F/M so I'm going to PRUDE UP today and say NO, that wasn't really love LOVE if you think about it....being open minded can be such an enigma. Some would argue with me and say, yes that's still love it comes in different forms. Well, sorry love. To me, love means being faithful and loyal to just one partner, thank you very much.

Anyways, Elizabeth is either a very strong woman or just stupid. When you meet a man like Alexander White, the smart thing to do will be to cut him off like a rotting arm and run the other way. But, because this is the author's fantasy and such, she pushes the heroine into the villain's arms and watch where fate takes her.

OVERALL I didn't like the story that much. There were too many elements in there that made me cringe /uncomfortable and just wanted to say FUCK IT ALL, I'm giving up on the hero and heroine. So why did I still read it? As vexing as the plot was, there was still a quality to it that intrigues you to WANT TO KNOW what will happen next. Maybe i was holding my breath for a good turnabout that will please me, but hey this isn't my story so I don't have any say to it. I'm just the reader and reviewer, so if you think you can handle all the drama and pain in this story, then please go ahead. FIFTY SHADES has nothing on this. FIFTY SHADES was actually EXCLUSIVE AND SWEET. This one goes much deeper and darker.

I guess what didn't sit so well with me was how the hero can be such a jerk and the heroine just takes it all because she loves him. Ugh, sure there was a two-way communication but I felt like the heroine sacrificed the most throughout thick and thin, and I guess what I'm saying is she deserved MORE from a man like Alexander White to keep her. Introducing another man into their relationship? If it was me....I'd say hell no. It's either him or me.

The ending? Left me with a bitter taste....cause it felt like a cliffhanger but probably wasn't.

I don't know how to begin putting words to how I feel about this book.
No, really, I can't find words good enough to describe the emotions soaring through me right now.
I've got a sneaky feeling this one will stay with me for quite a while. I'm not normally a gusher.I love some books, of course I do, but this one has hit me hard and I'm feeling like I need to really put that point across.
Characters, storyline, emotions, structure...it's all there. I have fallen in love with all the main characters, not only the fantastic Mr White but Conner, Pascal and even Andrews have all wound their way in to my thoughts. Beth and Belle too. Strong, independent yet slightly vulnerable women. I am really looking forward to hearing Belle's story in particular, she is such an intriguing character!
The story itself had my emotions tossing and turning. Ups and downs galore! This is a heart wrencher of a story, in more ways than one.
The sex scenes are hot but not too in your face. You can always feel the love, rather than them just being incorporated for the shock value.
When I bought this book, it had very few reviews and I was a bit weary, you know what it's like, that feeling that the first dozen or so reviews are nearly always friends and family boosting things up a bit, probably not real life reviews from readers. I am so pleased I gave it a chance though. Best read so far this year? Definitely!! I am really excited to see where this story goes in Feeling White. I need more, so much more!

So I tried, I really tried on this one. I forced myself through just about most of the 82% of it I read and then decided, life is too short to do this to myself!

What absolute twaddle, as my Irish friend Karen would say! :) Like seriously, I don’t even know where to start. The first thing that stuck out to me on this one was the word “sneer.” I’m going to have to see if I can get a word count on “sneer” in this book on my kindle. I am betting it’s going to be close to 1,000? Everyone was sneering, all the time. It was a sneerfest! Well, when it wasn’t being ridiculous and when it wasn’t trying to rip off 50 Shades. The similarities are striking. He’s Alexander White dominating asshole billionaire with a dark and abusive past. She’s unremarkable and riddled with self-esteem issues, working class caterer, Elizabeth Scott.

She goes out with her sister and friends to a famous hot spot club, where of course she’s spotted by the freaky Alex. Amazing enough, like the next day her catering business gets a huge break from White Industries to cater their in house business lunches. Of course her sister is the face of the business, but is stranded and can’t make the first trial run. So clumsy and self-deprecating, Beth goes along. Alex is smitten, even though he knows he should leave her alone, that she’s going to be chewed up in his dark world and hard sex tastes, but of course he pursues.

It was on Unlimited so I tried it, let me save you some time and skip this once. Unimaginative and slow paced. Quite boring with odd dialogue.

I was lucky to land a copy of this book to edit, and it was a fabulously enjoyable job to do.

The story twisted and turned in ways I rarely saw coming and the characters drew me in and made me care before I knew what was happening. Alexander White's story broke me in two, with some scenes bringing me to tears. And yet at the same time, he had the dark, brooding, dominant caveman thing going on in all the best ways.

I wanted to scream at the end when it finished on a cliffhanger and feel supremely lucky that I get to edit book two and find out what happens next.

The sex scenes are well written and hot as hell if you like your heat on the kinky side. And I absolutely cannot leave a review without mentioning my new book crush, Pascal. I'm dying to know more about him and can't wait to see more of him in book 2.

Great book. 5 stars!

Shattered, that's how I feel. Totally and completely Shattered. I need to read book #2 and see what happens. So yeah, it's a great book, that I'm not addicted to.

Alex White; alpha, multimillionaire, hustler, tycoon, demi-god, street-wise, etcetera, etcetera. He see's Beth Scott and has to have her, at any cost. He was warned to play nice with Beth and not F*ck things up. And for awhile, he is good. Oh, he is so good, everyone loves Mr. White. Even Beth. But that all crumples down when Alex see's Beth with a rival.
WHORE
Beth is a chef, she isn't a people person, so when she meets Mr. White and dumps cake on his lap she is mortified. When he asks for a date, she is perplexed. Apparently she's been doing this dating thing all wrong. Then she tumbles into bed with Mr. White and holy h3ll, she's wide awake. Her life has been a dream, now she is living her life, in his bed.

Things come to a grinding halt when he leaves her a note. Declaring his intentions and that she isn't part of them - that b@stard! My heart broke and shattered. I thought things were moving along nicely. And then bam brick f*cking wall.

There were parts that I did skip. Parts that were long in the tooth and needed chopped down. Yeah so your book is 400+ pages, that doesn't mean crap. You could have a 250+ page book that is amazballs. It's all about context and plot.

The connection between Beth and Alex were electrifying. I loved the banter. But I did not enjoy Mr. White's temper with Beth. I wish there was better communication between them, for a while things were great and we were steaming right along and then brick wall. That leads up to book #2 and seeing where it goes from there. Oh I'm in baby!! I'm in like Flint!!
Bring on book #2!!!!

Everyone who knows me well knows they shouldn’t even think of mentioning Fifty Shades of Grey in my presence unless they want to hear a minimum half an hour of a rant. In general, I’m not too crazy about billionaire romance with a BDSM twist. In 90% of the cases, we have a lousy excuse for a story. The hero is an older, unreasonably wealthy super duper Alpha Dog Top Male with billions in his bank account, a body of a fitness guru and looks to die for, more of a shopping list of an ideal man rather than an actual character. The heroine, on the other hand, tends to be so bland, average and nondescript that if we change her name and looks with [INSERT YOUR NAME/DESCRIPTION HERE] it wouldn’t make a difference to the story. There is also luxury beyond your wildest dreams, fancy holidays, private jets. In three words, pure wish fulfillment.

Now, I understand that many readers are fans of this genre because of the escapism it offers. However, it quickly gets boring, especially when the writer doesn’t have much skill, to begin with.

Charlotte E. Hart’s Seeing White has many of the above-mentioned tropes.

An absolute dream man with troubled past who can have any woman but chooses the heroine? Check.

A billionaire sweeping her off her feet in a world she never even dreamed of? Check.

A young, inexperienced woman who doesn’t know much about passion and kink? Check.

Wealth, designer clothes, private cars and jets, huge mansions, high-level BDSM clubs? You bet.

Usually, such a plot would make me roll my eyes and not buy the book at all. However, I’ve read some erotic and very intense excerpts of Ms. Hart’s work that provoked my interest and decided to give it a try.

I don’t regret it. I’d even say I absolutely loved that book. So, what makes it different?

First, the characters. At first, I thought that Alex White would be everything I’d absolutely hate in a man. He was smug, arrogant, absolutely certain he could get everything and anything just because he can. However, he was also charming, intelligent and well familiar with human psychology, always knowing what buttons to push to get the result he wanted. Alex was dark indeed, the author captured that inner darkness, violence and drive who made him who he was as a Dom and a businessman. I had no doubt that he was a dangerous man to cross, a wild animal with a civilized side to himself or a man who was keeping the beast within him on a leash. There were moments when he was surprisingly vulnerable and that felt genuine, not some artificial attempt at showing the tender side of a supposedly hard and rough man. No matter how much he has achieved in life and how far he had gone Alex has a hard time escaping from himself, his past, the dark urges, and sadism. He was also a captive of his own fears, insecurities, and paranoia that end up hurting and damaging him even further. I didn’t expect to like him much at the beginning, even if I felt some grudging respect for his mind and authority. In the process of the book as we learn more about him, experience his good and bad sides, I actually grew to care for him as a human being with some major flaws and issues. It was truly well-done character development.

Elizabeth could easily be your stereotypical too stupid to live Mary Sue. One of the most difficult characters to write about are the introverted, insecure characters. It is so hard to make them relatable or at least likable. It is even easier to create another annoying, self-pitying creature with passive aggressive obnoxiousness, secretly confident she is so much better than all those fake bimbos the hero surrounds himself with. She was nothing like those heroines I hate, though. I loved her character and could identify with her struggles to keep her head up, face the world and its challenges and not hide in the kitchen where she designs the food for her catering business. She went through a lot in Book 1 and all the sudden changes and new experiences helped her show her true colors, that of the smart and witty woman who finds more confidence through her sexual submission. At times, during some of the hottest sex scenes, we catch some glimpses of dominance. I really hope that this will be explored further in the next parts of the trilogy.

I loved the friendship bond and awesome relationship with both her sister Belle and their co-worker Theresa. It felt good to read about female friendship and 100% support, minus the catty competition. I’d probably have left the book unread if Belle or Theresa have gone green with envy that Beth has landed the mysterious Mr. White.

That brings me to another favorite part. In most billionaire romances all the other women are trash who would go to great lengths to snatch the dream man from the hands of the heroine. There were plenty of jealous women in Seeing White, corrupted, vicious creatures we were meant to dislike. However, it had a lot more to do with their environment, that highly competitive world of wealth that has tainted them. Everyone in this sophisticated jungle, man or woman, was a predator ready to sink their teeth in the unsuspecting, innocent prey, regardless of their gender. It was a dangerous place for our doe-eyed Beth who has gotten more than she can handle. The question is if she’d completely be stripped of her innocence, will she be tainted or will she save Alex from himself?

The writing is exquisite, the sex scenes, especially those revolving around rope bondage, are fantastic as if the reader could experience them along with the characters. Perhaps the only criticism I have is that at times it gets a bit too verbose. Sometimes both Alex and Beth had the same thoughts running through their mind as if they were in a loop. Still, that didn’t stop me from enjoying the hell out of the book.

The characters often ended up pissing me off with their choices but I can’t deny the inner logic that drove them down their path. I’m not sure whether that trilogy would have the classic happy ending but what I have read so far makes me want to go further into the crazy world Ms. Hart created.

Seeing White is perfect for people who enjoy billionaire romances, hot BDSM sex and are sick of all the good old cliches that genre is overpopulated with. If you enjoy truly dark Alpha males, sassy and strong female characters, good plot and creative kink this trilogy is for you. I look forward to the next two books and Ms. Hart’s other work.

5 Dark Stars.

First of all, this is a rating of all 3 books.
I already read the whole series and am not dissecting my view of the complete story.
I have a hard time reviewing this series as it is. And apologies in advance for the long but hopefully not to confusing review.

It is well written, the storyline is good and i enjoyed this dark erotic romance.

Besides the plot is really nothing new. For me it appeared to be just a darker, rawer and more complex version of "50 shades of grey".
There are also a lot of parallels to the book "This man" from Jodi Ellen Malpes and other top books in this genre. It is not really a bad thing. There were a few moments in this series where i was relegated to memories of these other books, remembering, but in a good way.

We have a hero, mentally and physically abused as a child. Inability to deal with and therefore suppressed emotions, turning into a control needing alpha. He has more than sadistic tendencies. Of course he is bloody beautiful and rich.

We have the naive, shy and good hearted heroine. Of course she is bloody beautiful and of course not aware of it. Mixed in with some cool friends and a passion for cooking.

The story evolves around the relationship between Alexander White and Elizabeth with a strong sexual focus as the plot unfolds and is in some aspects well thought through but in others lacking for my taste. The slow and mature introduction into his sexual preferences is very appealing. But at some point it drags a little as the relationship gets more intimate and develops, with his inability to emotionally connect and her journey to embrace life and get out of her shell.

The emotional components were sometimes described over the top and endlessly.
The sex scenes were sometimes very confusing to imagine in a physical matter. I found myself often thinking, there should be no room, or wasn't she not pressed to the wall from the other side. Well, anyway. The descriptions sometimes just were confusing. The surroundings were at times described in detail were i would not have needed it. And lacked when i was interested in what is going on around. Like in some clubs.

The personalities were complex and intriguing. But i found both personalities at varying points in the story not very well thought through Or at least not very well developed for me as a reader to comprehend some drastic changes at this point in the story.
For example:
His change to embrace his full sadistic and controlling alpha self. By finally revealing all of himself, he did a one-eighty and it appeared that the Mr. White we got to know before never existed anymore afterwards.

Her strong tendencies to be a pain-slut, where did that come from? Her strong attraction to Pascal, were did that come from? I did not even see that coming? Her self-abandonment and fully devotion to his needs, were did that come from? Either the characters or me as a reader were not prepared well enough by the author in the progress and development of the book so far, to comprehend that. She did not appear to me nor was there given any sufficient background of a history to her upbringing to indicate such personality.
For example: the first meeting and introduction of Pascal. When i think of the heroine and her everyday good girl personality at this point. Who then in the bloody world would stand transfixed and enamored by a man, in front of a nightclub, who has not one minute ago kicked another man to the curb and peed on him in front of me and is now kissing his way from my hand up to my neck? While additionally i might add, the otherworldly most beautiful man i am with, stands next to me?
This is just idiotic for me, i am sorry. I couldn't comprehend that one bit.

But maybe all of this comes down to one major issue i had with this book. And the more i think of it, it makes sense.
On the one hand we have depth. Complex, intriguing and dark personalities. Their first meeting, their first emotional and physical attraction. Their struggles to bond and grow with each other. The psychological struggles and developments.

And then on the other hand, throughout the whole series it always ends up or comes down to one thing. How bloody beautiful this people look like. The superficial point of view that erases all real and authentic aspects for me.
The physical descriptions of how beautiful, knee buckling and drool worth the people look is ridiculously detailed and repetitive. This over the top and repetitive focus on the physical, otherworldly beauty of people turns at one point actually to be pathetic and annoying, it subtracts from the quality and intellect of this book enormously.
This glorification and worshipping of how people look, appeared also sometimes at critical points in their relationship, to give him/her everything they want. And that is never a good enough reason.

Then there were some inconsistencies. Strands of the plot were just thrown out, but never picked up again. Like his visit with a psychologist. His family, the aunt side and his fathers side. Thrown in, never heard of it again. Left in the open, unfinished and never included in the plot anymore.
I also found it very hard to accept, he was molded by his fathers abuse. Therefore emotional crippled. He ended up struggling to find an outlet for all his hurt and rage as an addict in sex and drugs, as well as a hitman and then puff Pascal decides the best outlet and balance for him is embracing and flourishing his sadistic sexual tendencies. It just felt like he never had an actual say in it at all.

The end left me more than unsatisfied.

And as i was intrigued to those 3 in a trio relationship and their progress and what they would become, i am not really inclined to read about Pascal and a new main character. That defeats the whole purpose for me.

I was turned onto this author through the Wicked Pen Writers courtesy Mr. Blackthorne. This was a wonderful introduction.Well written and kept me engaged as a reader. To say that Alexander White is a complicated man is an understatement for sure. And very used to getting that he wants. Elizabeth Scott is who he wants. She is happier in her kitchen than out of it. There is a myriad of twists and turns and Alexander's friends Conner and Pascale. oh lordy!! The sex is mind blowing!! Panty melting!! The sadism can be a trigger so if it bothers you than this read is not for you.

So I downloaded this a couple of days ago, thought the synopsis sounded interesting so I cracked on with it this morning and it's now 1am and have just completed it. Obviously I enjoyed it because I finished it but I'm not sure where to start with the review. I liked that it was erotica set in England, I thought the female lead, Beth, was interesting; she didn't always draw stupid conclusions about situations and wasn't overly dramatic. I thought the male lead, Alex, was mixed up, had hellish and confused feelings but was still dead sexy anyway.... however..... not far through the book I started to think this was a fanfic of a fanfic because the similarities between this and FSOG were just too many to deny. Okay so what do we have here (a) MC with a torrid and torturous past making him the man he is now ...a multi millionaire, oh and he has his own jet not just a helicopter (b) enjoys rough sex with escorts meaning no emotional attachment (c) he can't get over how 'perfect', 'beautiful' and 'unspoilt' Beth is, (d) fantastic properties all over the place etcetera etcetera etcetera. Then we have the lovely Beth. No she isn't an innocent like Ana but she's good and fresh and just ripe and peachy ready to be plucked by Mr White. Beth, like Ana, makes her own money, like Ana she has her 'inner slut' aka Goddess, she enjoys her independence but falls in with Alex's wishes at the drop of a hat. For all that, I did enjoy the story and the author has dropped lots of clues about Alex's past which I'm sure will be revealed in the next book. I've got a pretty good idea what he used to do before he became a high powered businessman and I'm looking forward to hearing more about Ms Peters who was rather randomly given her very own chapter. One final thing though and I absolutely can't sign off on this review before saying that the book should have been professionally proof read because this author cannot spell. I am seriously anal about grammar/sentence structure/spelling and this woman managed to get too many basic things wrong. I actually bookmarked every time there was a problem on the page. Let me tell you that the word 'definitely' was spelt defiantly no fewer than 33 times, she knew how to spell it because it was correct sometimes. Surrey was Surry, bury was burry, gilt was guilt (as in gilt edged), drawer was draw, weight was wieght, there were apostrophes where there shouldn't have been, missing apostrophes where they should be, your was you're. Sorry rant over but the spelling just did my head in (in NE England vernacular) and detracted from my enjoyment of this book. The storyline would be 4 stars but the writing only 3 stars so I'll go with the lower score and hopefully the next book has improved

This is the first book I have read by this author and to say that I was captivated from the beginning is an understatement. The use of the author's descriptive text, using the 1st person draws you into the story.

The two main characters Alexander White and Beth are almost polar opposites, like light and shade. The build-up of their characters, is slow and methodical, which only enhances your interest in them.

She comes from a normal family background, which is in juxtaposition to Alex, who it is hinted at has had a troubled upbringing. His sadistic controlling nature is something that Beth is not prepared for, but the pair is unusually attracted to one another.

The introduction of side stories between other characters, her sister Belle and Alex's friend Connor are interwoven within the main storyline. The enigmatic Pascale is another facet to the story and both his introduction and the other side stories want you wanting more.

The main driving force behind the book is the struggle that Alex finds to fight his demons and the feelings that he harbours for Beth. Although he is one sadistic mofo, she has managed to chink his armour.

The book ends in such a way that makes you want to read more of what happens to this enigmatic character, and others who are introduced. A beautifully written piece of work, which explained to me something of a subject which I had very little experience of.

I can only conclude to say that the author's way of writing is captivating and descriptive making you invest in her characters. I can highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more of her work.

Elizabeth Scott is a successful businesswoman – she cooks and bakes wonderful creations while her sister deals with the people end of the business. Uncomfortable around the extremely wealthy, she happily lets her sister run the show – however when the opportunity of a lifetime presents itself in the form of Alexander White and catering for his company, her sister Belle is all for it. Little does Elizabeth know that Alexander has noticed her from afar and wants her ……
Alexander White is a man with more dark secrets than the innocent Elizabeth could ever imagine, and more money than she could be comfortable with. Alexander is a dominant/sadist who controls all aspects of his life – he uses women for his pleasure with no regard for their feelings. Why he is the way he is enthralling yet brutal. Commanding respect and submissiveness from all around him in his world, he is a force to be sure.
Alexander is drawn to Elizabeth’s innocence yet wants to expose her to his world of BDSM clubs and his sadistic ways. She is a balm to him to calm him, yet he needs the dark side to survive. Can they?
I love the side characters and their stories – Belle and Conner and their story had me looking forward to their time on the page – and the exquisite Pascale – well he is to die for!
I discovered this series recently and have devoured each book! Not for the faint of heart but please give it a go! This series is so much more than I expected! Dark and dominant like Mr. White himself.

I was interested by the synopsis, plus every review of this book is positive, so I decided to give it a try. Now, I'm just not sure what to say. I absolutely hate writing something negative about books, but sometimes it can't be helped.
The story failed to grip my attention and it was all I could do to stop myself from zoning out while reading and I almost DNF it.
First, I had a very hard time getting into it. The story alternates between the first and the third person, which kept throwing me off and the pace was rather slow. Then there was the constant back and forth with the characters. She thought that he was out of her league, while he thought that she deserved much better, but still they both wanted to be with each other too bad. It was too repetitive.
And the ending. God, I just hate conflicts because of miscommunication. All this shit could have been easily avoided, if he would have simply talked to her. But no, the hero just made a bunch of assumptions and that was it. What a stupid move, really.
I guess it was okey in general and some people might enjoy it, but I didn't.

Seeing White was my introduction to Charlotte E Hart and I have to say that I will be coming back for more. The story revolves around Alexander White, a wealthy businessman with a checkered past and Elizabeth Scott, a caterer who combines both strength and vulnerability. Though these archetypes are pretty familiar, what the author does so incredibly well is capture the tension of these two characters as they navigate a relationship that neither is quite prepared for.

What impressed the most was the quality of the writing and the sense of pace. For a long book, it didn't suffer any of the narrative doldrums that can afflict a longer story and the erotic content manages to be incredibly hot without ever seeming contrived.

Seeing White is an accomplishment and is well worth checking out.

This trilogy was a surprise. I say that as with the first book, I did find the first 100 or so pages to be a bit slow and I almost gave up and was so glad I didn’t!
The story ramped up and took me on quite the adventure.
This is a suspenseful dark romance that does have an edge and you are begging to find out what happens next.
Wonderful secondary characters - loved all of them…and Pascal….(DAMN that man! Stole the show for me)
This story is written in British English and I only mention it as there are a plethora of British slang words In the book (arse….taking the piss out of you) however it is not so heavy with slang that I had to keep urban dictionary out as my best friend throughout the read.
Recommend the series highly!

Amazing Writer Amazing Story

Charlotte Hart details the most hardened man imaginable, Alex White, with every right to be devoid of feelings. Until he casually glances across the room and is totally captivated by the stunning Elizabeth Scott. Just when she thinks the world has righted itself...well let's just say I have already downloaded book 2 ...

I loved loved this book. A perfect blend of sexy sensuality and dominating brooding male.

Charlotte writes emotions like no other author. She sets out to grab your heart and your mind and uses it for her own evil bidding.

I have read all 3 books now and none of them disappoint
