When you’re rounded up like cattle, taught to be breeders, and thrown into the woods for Alphas of all kinds to hunt you down and do with as they please… what is there left to do but fight?

Omegas are nothing but pawns in my world. I was ripped from my mother’s arms and thrown into a camp only to see my mother carted out in a body bag after they… the Alphas used her up. Extreme Repetition
I love Rose Marie, so I wanted to love this, but the repetition of words was overkill and took away from the story. For visually impaired readers who have Alexa narrating for you, no, there isn’t a glitch that’s making Alexa sound like a broken record, the author literally wrote the same word 156 times. This occurs several times throughout the novel, which is a novella at best, after cutting out all the repetition. The story was solid as a whole with a creative plot and good world building, unfortunately, a lot of it felt like space filler which is disappointing because Rose Marie is a very talented writer.

Masterpiece
This is the omegaverse book I didn't know I need it or wanted. You got the hunger games mixed with an omegaverse pure genius. Emerald is one badass Omega she take no shit if she plays no games she held her own from the start of the book to the end. But one thing she couldn't do is escape Murdoch. He's the kind of alpha that would have you presenting to him whether you want to or not. She would tell the toe with him but he broke her down bit by bit and showed her that nobody would ever rock her world like he did. This book got me wanting to volunteer is tribute for the next hunt so I can get me an alpha like Murdoch.

solid 3.5 stars (rating on the higher end)
Okay okay. This book was such a great read. I was able to get a decent grip on the plots and the character development was adequate and it had just what you needed to keep you engaged.
The only thing about this book is that it had maybe 2-3 grammatical errors and maybe 3-4 misspelled words (e.g spelling “he” like “hw”). But none of that was enough to make you not finish the book. I wish there was more time between the main enemy and Murdoch. I just feel like this story could have been a tad bit longer cause it really was an enjoyable read. This author def had a mind to create stories and world build and create character development.

A beautiful love story set in the omegaverse, between an Alpha and an Omega.
The protagonists, Emerald and Murdoch, each enter the Hunt with their own motivations—she seeks her freedom, while he hopes to quench his bloodlust after being betrayed by both his lover and his brother. During the Hunt, they meet and discover they are mates. From there, they fight side by side to win, but not without facing obstacles along the way.
At times, I found it a bit difficult to read, especially because the hero's point of view was written in a rather unusual and confusing way.

The hunt was good. It was exciting, had a lot of twists and turns in it. It surprised me that it's connected to the lust series, the 7 hells and the 7 sins. So that was cool to find out. You know what really goes on in the hunt that they mentioned in Lust. Any and everything goes on in the hunt, it's a fight for survival. I'm so glad Emerald. Found Murdoch, and they were able to fight together to make it to the end.
Good book. I can't wait for other Rose Marie books to come.

if I could give it a negative star I would
DNF after three chapters. The author’s imagination borders on bizarre when the carnivorous plant devoured her, I tapped out. This is the second book from this writer that failed to engage my intellectual curiosity. Their narrative choices feel less thought-provoking and more absurd. Frankly, I would much rather immerse myself in Quad Mills’ work, which is infinitely more entertaining and stimulating. Those whom have this book more than two stars. I seriously question everything about you all.

Another one bites the dust!!!!!
Okay Ms. Marie, you put your foot in this one!!! This was perfectly Splendid and I enjoyed every minute of it, even though it was hard for me to understand what Murdoch was saying sometimes lol. I had to really pay attention so that made me appreciate this all the more. Great plot, their chemistry off the charts… yes I will submit as well!!! I love these types of stories, I wonder will King of Lust or any of the other brothers make an appearance in upcoming coming books or will the brothers have their own story to tell?!!! We shall see

Another One
Rose Marie does not miss! It’s as simple as that. Loved the storyline and complexities of Murdoch and Emerald. She was fierce on her mission but learned a lesson in the end. Murdoch was unflinching and protective a true Alpha. So many lessons and don’t get me started on the spice! I was clutching my pearls throughout. I also appreciated the nod to the 7. Do no delay reading this, you will not be disappointed!

Loved It
I am a Rose Marie fan. I loved this dark fantasy located in the Alpha and Omega universe. If you have read Rose Marie's books, you know she blends stories thru her use of Easter eggs, where you are pleasantly surprised to make connections from other stories. You do not have to have read the other stories.
Emerald was an adventure. Trigger warnings are at the beginning of the book. This story had action, mystic powers, betrayal, and hot sex. Delicious read.

Listen this book was so good I had to leave a review. Emerald she a bad one and not to be messed with. Murdock is a fighter and not to me be taken lightly. I loved how even though they both experienced betrayal and heartbreak. They were able to overcome it after a few ordeals. I don’t want to give it a way but when you read it you will understand. This is a great read I enjoyed it.

What a great read I love Murdoch and Emerald so much passion so much hurt but love outshines it all… I like the hints at the kings of Hell is that Frank and his brothers the way I screamed at that while reading I hope there is more but if not I’m content cause any and everything she writes I’m reading with a smile on my face … 5 very worthy stars wish I could give more

I enjoyed Emerald and how fierce and strong she was even though her circumstances were terrible. I'll admit I don't read much omegaverse so I think I wasn't quite sure what I was getting myself into but the plot was well written, and you should definitely read all of the trigger warnings provided!! I didn't fall for Murdoch as hard as I would had hope but but his back story was intriguing. His brother was terrible and his #1 hater though. I enjoyed the ending.

The cover of this book is what got my attention because it's so gorgeous, but the synopsis is what made me read it. An Omegaverse book with a Hunger Games twist? Yes, please. Anyway, it turned out to be a really interesting read. I loved that Emerald didn't cower even when she clearly couldn't resist Murdoch. This was an NTMA, and I'll definitely read from them again.

Enjoyed as always!!
WOW!!! This one had me on the edge of my seat…Murdoch reminds me of Don Balor expect he was a full fledged Lycan but that possessive drive and the love he had for his Queen Emerald was definitely Connor-esque. This author never disappoints!! Hope there are books on those other kick ass Omegas 😊

Can’t say I saw this book coming. I did not pay much attention and to the description. I just started reading and did not stop until the end. I’m a huge Rose Marie fan so there was no way I was not going to like the book. As usual storyline on point. Phenomenal characters. I love the ending! Totally recommend

The Hunt
I loved this. Emerald is a force to be reckoned with. She thought she had learned from her mother's mistake until she met Murdoch. Murdoch figured he would only join the hunt for bloodlust until he met Emerald. You must read the story to know what will happen, but you won't be disappointed.

Not for prudes
This was an excellent read. If your a prude this not for you. At any rate I love me a strong FMC and this book doesn't disappoint. This is the first book I've read where the Omega was just as fierce as the MMC. Loved the twist and turns.

Amazing
I’m not the best review writer but Rose Marie you done it again. This but was so amazing I hated for it to end. Emerald and Murdoch story will have laughing and on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait until your next book.

hunger games for shifters?
I really enjoyed this book it kinda gave hunger games but in a spicier way. I love how strong emerald was and her need to never give up. The only thing I didn’t like was the way the MMCs chapters were wrote gave me a headache

Fantastic fantasy!
Another amazing installment by Rose Marie! What a rich and brutally imagined paranormal world full of familiar creatures but with a unique twist. Beautifully descriptive environments (along with gorgeous illustrations) make the read truly enjoyable to the end.
