🖤☕️I became his anchor, and in turn, he became my purpose🖤☕️
"The only thing that I lacked was their affection, but there was something that made up for that. My little brother's love. Dorian Holbrooke was my life. My reason to get out of bed."
"I was the one who kept him whole for as long as I could. And if they thought they could take him from me now, they were sorely mistaken. He was mine. Mine"
"They didn't know how patient I could be, how long I could wait in silence with a smile on my face, letting rot fester under my skin."
"Because his eyes were just as beautiful as I remembered, and I wanted those eyes on me--only me--for the rest of his life."
"I wanted to break every clock in the world and live in a day where we never grew apart."
"Even if I didn't fully understand who he was now, he was mine. My family, my past, my blanket fort builder, my first friend, my heart, my soul. My everything."
"Stop flirting with me."
"I can't help it. You're the only thing I've ever wanted."
"It's cute when you try to act normal."
"I am normal."
"Mm. You're mine. That's not normal at all."
This book was fantastic and so amazing. This series is so dark, spicy, and has great storylines. This one was not as dark as the last two but still had some unhinged dark elements. This story was a slow burn, but when the heat started, boy was it hot af 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I loved how this story started off with Josh's back story and past. This set the whole tone for this book. I loved the forbidden aspect of this story with adoptive brothers 😏. I love how each book explores different kinks 😉.
This story follows Josh and Dorian. They're adoptive brothers and have lived with each other since a young age. Josh was a caretaker to Dorian and they bonded fast and became codependent. Bad things started to happen to Josh while he lived there until it all came to a head and he fled, leaving Dorian behind. Fast forward 8 years later and we're in the present timeline in the books. Josh has been getting messages from Dorian wanting to reconnect. Dorian has been stalking him and creeping Josh out. Will Josh and Dorian reconnect and become a family again? Will their feelings change now that they're older? Can Josh accept how much different Dorian has changed?
I loved both of these characters so much. They fit together perfectly. My heart bled for poor Josh 😭. He had it so rough growing up. Josh always felt out of place and never quite himself. Despite all that, Josh was such a sweetheart golden retriever. I loved him 😍. Dorian was very unhinged and bordered on psychopath. The only thing he wanted was Josh and nothing would stop him. I loved how their relationship has different layers. Brothers, best friends, and lovers. Josh never felt at peace until Dorian came back into his life. I loved how protective and possessive Dori was of Josh. Seeing these two get their HEA was everything.
I loved seeing cameos from the other couples. Their banter was hilarious 😂. This found family is insane but so lovely 🥹. Onto the last book. Ro seems so intriguing and I can't wait for his book.
"Don't worry. All I want is for us to be a family again. Soon."😈
