She fell into the jungle. He never let her go.

Miri

I was chasing cryptids. Not aliens.
One wrong step, and I fell through a rift into an alien jungle—alive, glowing, and sentient. Yeah. The trees watch. The vines move. And something is definitely stalking me.

Turns out the “cryptid” I was hunting is very real—and very hot.
He’s got glowing eyes, a tail that wraps around my waist, and a mouth I keep dreaming about. He doesn’t speak. Not at first. But he watches me like I belong to him.

Maybe I do. Because every night, I dream of him touching me. Worshipping me. Claiming me.
And every morning, I want it to be real.

Lor

She was never supposed to be here.
The jungle whispered her name before I saw her. Before I felt her.

Miri is chaos and light, loud where I am silent, bright where I’ve gone dark.
But the bond is undeniable. My body aches for hers. My instincts scream to protect her.

She thinks I’m the danger.
She doesn’t know what’s coming.

And she doesn’t know… she’s mine.

Snared is part of the Savage Lands Sector series—packed with high heat, fated mates, feral devotion, and the kind of love that was written in the stars (and sealed with a bite).

Pulled through a portal. Bound by fate. Tested by fire.

Miri’s a sharp, stubborn journalist chasing answers at an abandoned government site when one touch of a strange artifact throws her into an alien world. The jungle she lands in is alive, watching her every move, protecting her even as it pulls her deeper into its strange network. She’s not alone. A hunter moves through the trees, a warrior sworn to protect this world and convinced she’s the one he’s been waiting for.

Lor is everything Miri never asked for, protective and relentless, but the bond between them is undeniable. Their connection builds in dreams and explodes into reality as they face danger side by side. He’s a soldier carrying duty on his shoulders, she’s a human out of her depth who refuses to be left behind, and together they spark a relationship that’s as intense as it is inevitable.

The closer they grow, the higher the stakes get. Survival means fighting for more than their lives, it means choosing trust, love, and a bond that doesn’t break when worlds collide. Their path isn’t easy, but it’s charged with passion, banter, and the kind of devotion that turns fate into choice.

Miri evolves from a curious skeptic into someone who embraces both her bond with the jungle and her place beside Lor, while Lor grows from a rigid warrior into a partner who learns to trust and respect Miri’s independence. Their relationship shifts from mistrust and challenge to intimacy and loyalty, blending her wit and defiance with his protectiveness and devotion until they stand as true equals.

A steamy, alien warrior, fated mates, sci fi romance, exploring love, fate, survival, trust, identity, belonging, sacrifice, and home. It’s about finding love and belonging in unexpected places, facing danger with resilience, and choosing connection even when fate and worlds stand in the way.

4.25 stars. This story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, first contact female human podcaster (Miri)/male feline humanoid warrior (Lor), sentient vegetation, erotic sci fi romance. I enjoyed Miri’s resilience and determination to engage, as well as her creative problem solving skills. I enjoyed Lor’s immediate acknowledgment of her meaning to him balanced by his employment obligations and determination to provide Miri with a choice. I enjoyed their erotic intimate scenes and chuckled at the involvement of the sentient vegetation. I enjoyed the ending, and the interaction with characters from other stories, as well as the interaction with Miri’s family.

This is another fun addition to the series and I love the contrast between Miri and Lor. She's definitely louder than him and ready to debunk myths...or believe in the unusual ;) Lor is a silent warrior and so protective. As they build and strengthen their connection, their survival becomes such a high stakes adventure. He learns to trust her independence and she evolves from a skeptic to a fab partner. Together, the loyalty and love flowing between them made my heart sing. Expect to get caught up in the danger, resilience, sacrifice and love as these two fight their way to a fab HEA. Good fun!

The Legion Snared is another entertaining story in the Savage Lands Sector series and finds another Earth girl, Miri falling through a portal and ending up in an alien jungle. Maybe it had something to do with the strange dreams she had been having?
Lor Pardus a Legion Reaper was on planet GL-7 hunting a fugitive weapons smuggler when his and Miri’s dreams find each other and he knows she is his mate.
Adventure, romance, spice, danger, and intrigue flow through the pages of a fast paced Sci-Fi romance that is nicely written and an enjoyable read.

'Great. Jungle cryptid, alien vines with boundary issues, and absolutely no idea how to get home. If I survived this, my subscriber count was going to explode.
But first, I had to survive.'

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. This story was a fast-paced adventure with suspense and action. I was hooked and loved the dynamic between Miri and Lor. Their chemistry was scorching. I found her to be reckless, but fun. And it did bring her to Lor so... lucky girl. I loved Phil. He/It was such a fun addition to this story and made me smile. 5 stars

At least Phil was a good plant entity and didn’t want to eat you. But was very helpful in other way’s. I think the shared dream thing was a little cool even though they were wet dreams. This was a fun book to read. The whole creature sighting reveals were a little funny.

Miri's profession, that of debunking myths, makes her the perfect foil for Lor. Her willingness to accept the unusual and his being unusual, at least in human terms, has them finding new ways to co-exist. And the presence of Phil, that just added some humour to all of the situations.
