Gods of Arcana: The Tower

Rate this book
A sapphic fantasy of divinity, power, and rebellion—where tarot cards rule, and fate is enforced.
For fifteen years, the world has been ruled by the Arcana—a tarot-inspired society governed by the Majors under the guidance of the old gods. War, famine, and disease are relics of the past. Peace reigns. Order is absolute. Or so they claim.
Aubrey Mercer, the Ace of Swords, was forged into the Arcana’s perfect soldier—loyal, disciplined, unquestioning. But when Cassandra Ryley, a young Gift with a complicated past, stumbles into her path, the carefully constructed façade begins to crack. Bound by the blood of a murdered woman who dared to defy the Arcana, Aubrey and Cass are destined to find each other.
As embers of rebellion ignite war cries, an unexpected paladin rises, exposing the Arcana’s divine rule and the betrayals beneath every oath. The injustices they swore to eradicate still fester beneath a gilded mask. Aubrey must make a keep her promise to a dying woman or remain a faithful servant to the Arcana. With every act comes a reaction—a butterfly effect with consequences that ripple across all life, seen and unseen.

Perfect for fans of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Handmaid’s Tale, Gods of The Tower is a dark LGBTQ+ fantasy about love, loyalty, and the cost of questioning fate.

Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to embody a tarot card as a personality? While reading Gods of Arcana: The Tower, you’ll find not only does the main character act her card, but so does the Majors. Whether you know tarot or are just beginning, this is a great book to let yourself embrace the cards in a different light. The book will deepen your connection and expand your imagination about the various cards you'll come to love.
The story and its possibilities will capture your attention and draw you in from beginning to end as the two main characters become two sides of the same coin. If you let yourself get overly connected, you may find waiting for the next book to be antagonizing.

“Gods of Arcana” is a groundbreaking story about courage, conviction, and the strength it takes to stand up for what you know is right.
It doesn’t just entertain—it challenges you. What decision would you make in a world teetering on the edge of chaos and power?

From the very first page, I was hooked. The stakes were high, the characters unforgettable, and the tension never let go. I couldn’t put it down—I had to know what happened next. And now, I’m counting the days until the next installment.

Rae has created something truly special. This is more than a book. It’s a call to action, a mirror, and a storm.
