I'm a total sucker for witty banter and those laugh-out-loud moments that make you snort unexpectedly (hopefully not in public). I believe the best stories have characters that feel like real people—flawed, funny, and fierce.
My series features heroines who can hold their own and alpha males who are compelling without being insufferable, all wrapped up in plots that'll have you staying up way too late because you absolutely must know what happens next.
When I'm not busy torturing my characters or building new worlds, I'm living the dream in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest with my incredibly patient husband and our two spoiled dogs. My background is a bit all over the place—I have an A.A. in Criminal Justice, a B.S. in Psychology, and an M.Ed. in Education. Turns out, studying human behavior comes in pretty handy when you're trying to write believable characters and relationships!
You'll usually find me either exploring Washington's breathtaking landscapes (research for all those dramatic settings, obviously) or curled up somewhere cozy with a good book and way too much coffee.

This series just keeps getting better and better!
I already knew I was going to love this realm with the pirates, sea monsters and mermaids, but with Lucian's POV added it was a hilarious and wit filled rollercoaster ride.
This has drama, action, relic hunts, battles, conflicts, romance, and a ton of sass that had me giggling throughout.
There are so many swoony moments, nods to lore, and witty one liners that make this an absolute joy to read.
And the spice is a whole other level, and this time there's more than one contender for most kinky and passionate couple!
I am loving where this series is going, each new realm they venture into is filled with excitement and adventures, new characters that add to the fun dynamics, a growing list of allies and enemies, and all the crazy trouble they always find.
This is a series filled with adventure, lovable characters, tons of flirting, lots of sarcasm, intense possessive bonds, powerful magic, and deliciously naughty spice.

From the get-go this book does not disappoint. A.L Hampton takes the characters we've grown to love and sends them on another adventure. This time on the open seas. The sass and steamy scenes are plenty throughout this book with a few twists thrown in.
The author did a great job creating a storyline that was intriguing and kept my guessing. Oftentimes books become predictable but Dark Tides ( and the whole crown of the seven realms series) keeps you hooked.
We get to delve deeper into Rhyland and Danica bond learning about them together and as individuals.
I love me some Lucian and he plays an even bigger role in this book as well as Emily and Eric.
10/10 recommend

Oh my gosh. Just when I thought the series couldn’t get any better, A.L. Hampton just blew me out of the water!
Not only do you get to see the main characters love story continue to bloom, but I’m obsessed with the world of monsters, pirates, and everything about this book.

This book was everything I wanted and more! The adventure, the magic, the romance—I was completely hooked. I loved exploring more of the realm and following the characters on exciting new journeys. And the spice? Ohhhhh the SPICE 🥵🥵 The chemistry was sizzling, the tension was perfect, and it was HARD to put it down. I already can’t wait for the next book!

This is by far my favorite book in this series so far! All of the adventures and banter and new characters in the sea world were perfect. There’s so much more twisty plot in this installment. And there was the perfect amount of stage setting to not get confused without getting g to be boring or overly verbose.
There’s a lot of character development and growth. But staying true to the first two books, the bond between Rhyland and Dani is so beautiful and amazing and I love their back and forth, both out loud and down their bond. Lucian is the funniest character ever and getting some of his POV was a delight. Especially when Emily came into the picture. There were so many cliffhangers, the chapters felt like episodes of a show. And I kept saying “just one more” until it was like 230am and I had to force myself to step away. The chapters towards the end had me shedding actual tears. I gasped a few times. And of course, the end was such a massive cliffhanger and I’m dying that I can’t continue this story right now. I need answers!!!
The spice in this book was absolutely delicious and not repetitive.
It’s a thiccccc book and yet here I am feeling like I didn’t get enough. When Dani was feeling totally drained and had to tap into herself and give herself a pep talk, that was such a beautiful moment and really resonated with me.
When this series is complete I will probably reread it again from start to finish. I like it that much!

Oh. My. God. Where do I even start with this book? When I tell you it played like a full-blown movie in my head—think Pirates of the Caribbean but with a sexy, unhinged Jack Sparrow, vampires, witches, and all kinds of sea creatures. It was absolute chaos in the best way. Nonstop action, insane twists, and a world so immersive I forgot I was reading. Hands down, the best book in the series so far.
Tell me why I thought Dark Tides was just gonna be your standard dark romance—you know, broody bad boy, tragic past, slow burn. Oh, no. No. This book dragged me straight to h*** and bolted the damn door behind me.
Okay, but is it actually that dark, or are you just dramatic? You may ask!
Listen to me when I tell you Rhyland is not your typical alpha. He’s unhinged. He’s dangerous. He’s absolutely obsessed. I swear I needed a lawyer, a therapist, and maybe an exorcism while reading this.
Oh, so he’s possessive? You say!!! Girlllllllll if you are reading this listen….
Possessive doesn’t even cover it. He doesn’t just love her. He owns her, cherishes her, worships the ground she walks on...
Dani and Rhyland? Pure fire. Their bond is intense, their chemistry is one for the books, and the spice? Was done sooooooo well. The emotional depth between them made every moment hit even harder. And Lucian? Absolute jokester he is, my baby my favorite character—his POV had me cracking up, kicking my feet and giggling so hard.
Dani’s out here dodging pirates, brawling with mermaids, screaming at sirens, and there’s a SEA WITCH WHO MIGHT BE THE PETTIEST BI**H I’VE EVER MET
And don’t even get me started on the ending. The cliffhanger nearly took me out. I don’t care how long it takes—I need the next book. Immediately. If it ends up being over 1000 pages I don’t care I need it.

A.L. Hampton does it again!! My favorite dream team Dani, Rhyland, Erik, and Lucian are back again picking up their sea legs, sailing seas in an unknown realm. Get ready for book 3 to go nautical with the sass and slay! The only thing going harder then the banter between the worlds greatest rainbow witch Emily and the sexiest smart mouth vampire Lucian is Rhyland's massive engorged... well you'll figure it out! ;) I love the attention to detail that A.L. Hampton continues to deliver, I fall in love with even the smallest of characters, the rich scenery that her words written tend to paint in my imagination and inevitably what felt like a big book to tackle becomes a longing for "just a few more pages". When I start reading, everything in reality fades away and I am on another adventure of a lifetime and one of the team diving deep and searching to make the realms whole again. If you are on the fence about starting this amazing series then jump off the plank and dive in... I swear it will send shivers down your back, and for a little while you will get the privilege of entering another realm and escaping this mundane reality!

A.L. Hampton decided to really tug at my heart strings with this book! The absolute love and adoration between Dani and Rhyland had me crying like the romantic sap I am! And I’m not going to spoil anything but when one of the other characters meets their mate….the joy I felt in my soul was next level! The world building, plot, sassy character development made it once again feel like I was a part of their world. And the SPICE?! Good lord it was something out of this realm 😏🥵

I remember this cover and was captivated by the pirate book.
I’m invested in Danica and Rhyland their love story is simply amazing. We’re also given a second love story with Lucian and Sera.
I love the adventure, the thrills and seven realms and the insane crew we have.
This is the perfect continuation of the series.

Wow...I don't have the words to describe how incredible this book is, the whole series so far is amazing but this book is my favorite so far!
I adore how the author creates these amazing worlds in the adventures the FMC and her merry band of Misfits are thrown into.
And the spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 gawd dam

Please read this series. This book was phenomenal. Mermaids,vampires and a whole lot of spice what more could you need from a book. Lucien is absolutely hilarious I lol so much at his sense of humour. The spice was once again divine. Dani is a bad ass and once again proved what an amazing FMC she is

Aquaria, what a damn adventure and a half, and the plot twists, it was so good, I didn't see it coming till I was supposed to. the mermaids, the sirens, the kraken, and the pirates, although I tell you that one deserved everything they got and more.
but there is a specific part where Dani didn’t use her damn brain. ( I want to clarify she didn't use her backups for good reason she was panicking and didn't want possibly make a situation worse, but that doesn't stop me from getting mad at her like she is my bestie going off and doing something stupid) I was so mad at Dani and the book, that if this were a physical book, I would have thrown it, then ran after it picked it up and then tell it sorry but it was a deserved punishment for this Sass and foolishness…
but that ending, sometimes you wish you could be in the book, cause I would have been right beside Rhyland and loving in that last paragraph in the book.

This blew all of my expectations out of the water.. I wasn't expecting it to be this good.
Im obsessed with this series. I always get hooked by the end of chapter 1. I couldn't put it down. I was waiting for this book, and it was so good. This series keeps getting better and better. Of course, I loved the monsters and the pirates, mermaids, oh and don't forget vampires! I love that we got to explore more of this realm. Same characters that we love with a new adventure. I wish their realm was a real-life place. I would love to live there. The spice was so good. I need and need book 4.

I don't even have the words at the end of this one. Let's just say my jaw was on the ground and I was in "Oh my lord no way!!!" bouncy mode on the last page. Once again this series takes you on an adventure and put you through the ringer all at the same time. The banter, the sass, the holy shit moments. Can't give this series enough credit! Once you start you'll never want to put it down! Can't wait for the next one!

This third book in fhe Crown of Seven Realms series is an amazing mix of romance, adventure, magic and so much more. I loved the development in not only plot but also characters. The spice, tension and banter were top tier. I really enjoyed this third book of the series.

Ahhh! This book is so good!! It's now my favorite in the entire series. Our favorite characters return for an adventure on the open seas, with pirates, magic and monsters. We get double the romance, sass and witty banter and the SPICE?! 🥵🥵 I can't wait for the next one!!

Dani, the FMC, is journeying across the seas, and encounters vicious pirates, dark magic, and a lot of monsters. Rhyland, the MMC, is Dani's bonded mate, and he's dangerous and unhinged, just not towards her... he'd burn the world for her. I loved seeing their bond, and love for each other.
Oh, my gods, Lucian, I need more of him. I love him so much, and it was amazing to get his POV.
This book was fast-paced, fun, spicy, and so exciting. So much happened, but it wasn't overwhelming, and you never found yourself bored. I can't wait to read the next adventure.

Ok so far Book 3 is My absolute favorite of the series!!! So many twists and turns I stayed up too late the whole way through!! Cliffhangers make U wanna keep going!!! And the detail is phenomenal!! I'm in love with the characters N ready to explore the next realm!!! Love AL and cannot wait for More!!!

OH.MY.GOSH! This book action packed book was amazing! I loved every bit of it, especially seeing more of the characters personalities. That cliffhanger though.. I need book 4!!!

And the adventure continues. I now have another author for my favorites list. Her energy and creative talent reflects in all her characters. Book 3 has us realm-hopping again with the destination being Aquaria. A water realm where mermaids, sirens, sea witches, and bloodthirsty pirates dwell. I have to say that I am loving the authos snark. She is the master of snark and able to drop it immediately when needed & then to pick it back up at a moments notice which I enjoyed. . The dangers are high in this one. Danni is drawn into the watery depths in search of an Aquanite stone and to rescue her friends. In order to aquire the stone she must first break a mermaid and siren's curse. I enjoyed every minute I was reading about these characters and even felt like sobbing over some of the loss. I look forward to book 4.

This book? Absolute mayhem and I loved every minute of it. A.L. Hampton basically said, “Let’s toss Dani into the middle of pirate-infested chaos and see what happens,” and it. was. glorious.
The world of Aquaria feels like it was built to test everyone’s limits. Between sea witches, sirens, and pirates with questionable morals (and great hair), I was hanging on for dear life. Every chapter felt like holding my breath underwater and hoping Dani would surface before I passed out from anticipation.
And the romance? PHEW. Dani and Rhyland could power a small city with their chemistry. It’s messy, magnetic, and just the right amount of unhinged. You can feel how much they’ve been through, and yet they still find a way to tease, bicker, and fall even harder.
Lucian continues to be my emotional support chaos gremlin. Every time he opened his mouth, I was giggling like a fool.
What I love most about this series is how Hampton keeps upping the stakes without losing the heart. You’ve got danger, banter, heartbreak, spice, and moments that feel like the calm before the storm right before she hits you with another wave.
Dark Tides didn’t just raise the bar; it yeeted it straight into the ocean.
Five stars, no notes, and someone please toss me a life raft because that ending? I’m not okay.

It delivers everything maritime fantasy lovers crave—pirates, mermaids, sirens, sea witches—all wrapped in high-stakes adventures and epic battles that will keep you breathless with anticipation! Dani and Rhyland's romance grows more breathtaking with each page, while Lucian’s character grows as another powerhouse competing for the gold.
Never taking away from the other side characters as they too grow more in this series, making you fall in love with all of them.

This was an awesome book the whole realm with pirates sea monsters, calypso, and mermaids. It was an adventure in its self I was loving every minute of it. I pulled me in right away and took me on a ride as I got to read from Lucian's POV also, he is funny af.

Each realm adds so much more to this adventure. In this realm we got drama, action, battles at sea, hunts for relics, romance, bits of lore, banter so much sassy banter it that had me laughing over and over again, as well as spice that could make you wetter than the seas they sailed on.
I so loved the whole fight scene with Lucian when they are on the pirate ship they commentary coming from him is next level 😂
I also love the picture before the chapters, I have to mention how gorgeous they are.

If you like action, adventure, magic, fated mates and being on the edge of your seat, then this series is for you. And if you enjoy a some spice (or a lot of spice really), then you will love the relationship between Danica and Rhyland. It is one to be coveted.

I don't think this author can write anything less than 5 stars! I absolutely love her energy, and u can see her personality in her characters as well. Since we've already visited the mortal and vampire and faerie realms, here we visit Aquaria.
Yep....you guessed it....the water realm. This is where the merfolk, pirates, and other sea creatures reside. It gives Pirates of the Caribbean/underwater Hunger Games vibes with delectable spice!
Don't forget, on the other end, the threat of Azrael still looms. The reader also encounters, witches, werewolves, vampires, angels, etc. What doesn't this book have?

Let me start off with I absolutely love Dani and Rhys from the first kiss to the last lick. In Dark Tides Dani and the gang must continue to fight the evil Azrael in his search soul stone. This enemies to lovers and Touch her and die is everything I'm looking for in a Dark Romantasy. I'm not used to pirates, mermaids and ship battles but I loved Dani's time in Aquaria. I love how Lucian finally got a mate and he can stop brooding over Dani & Rhys love! I can't wait for book 4!
