God and A Worshipper’s Guide to Raising Support is a support-raising tool that shows people how to recognize God at work in their lives and teaches them how to put that story into words so that others can worship God as well. This changes the dynamics of raising funds from being a meeting that people fear and want to avoid to an opportunity to become worship leaders who help others engage in what God is doing here and around the world.
Heather Ricks learned the joy of creating other worlds at an early age. Words became her way of safely exploring reality through fiction. Therefore, writing became a tool for learning. She has opened that world for others to discover in her book Songs from Ugly: Discovering Chords of Beauty. She also enjoys teaching others to put their own stories into words in her book God and Elephants: A Worshipper's Guide to Raising Support.
When she is fully in reality, she loves mountain biking, music, and humor.
This is a short book written for a relatively small audience. Heather does a great job of laying out the basics of the importance of and components of story-telling. I may recommend this book to certain friends.
