When Charlotte moves to Ireland, she has no idea that Aoife will sweep her off her feet just in time for Christmas.
Charlotte has just moved to Dublin for Grad School, hoping for a fresh start in a new city. It's certainly not like the home in Florida that she's left behind. While it's exciting to be in a new city, Dublin is gloomy and rainy in the late fall. That is until Charlotte meets Aoife on a dating app. Will Aoife be the spark that lights up Charlotte's Irish experience?
Was a nice Christmas novella. Students, no 3rd act break up, spending Christmas in Ireland. Cosy vibes. Sugar mommy. Femme/Femme. 2 spicy scenes. 1 main POV. And a puppy 🐶
I don’t even know what to say. This was fun and enjoyable, and decently written. Great Christmas vibes and overall, a feel-good story. It's not worth 4 stars, but 3 feels low, so I will be unhappily rounding in one of two directions.
It was also wish-fulfillment slop in the most heavy-handed way. Essentially like “what if a prince walked up and decided to marry me and make me a queen and make all my dreams come true” (except not because that would be spoilers). If your in for that kind of thing then you will enjoy this, if you can’t handle the cotton-candy-sweet then maybe not.
I would honestly recommend this, but turn off your brain before going into the second half.
Edit: So unfortunately I thought about this more, big mistake. Dropping it down to 3-stars because my critical thinking skills just can’t quite vibe with giving it a 4. If you actually think about it
Cute fun sapphic novella. Single pov Unfortunately it didn't really work for me. There were some awkward conversations and we didn't really learn much about Charlotte (the pov)
Go live in Ireland? Find some hot girl with an Irish accent to suck face with? Stroll around town eating donuts while looking at Christmas lights? Dude, when does my flight leave? Such a cozy Christmas novella. Loved that all the parts from the awkward first date, to the session, to the movies. Yeah, you should read it.
Winter Nights and Christmas Lights is probably the coziest holiday romance I read this season. I loved how light hearted and sweet this one is. It felt like the book equivalent of hot cocoa by the roaring fire. Charlotte and Aoife are so adorable together and I loved seeing their relationship grow.
This was a cute sapphic holiday romance. I enjoyed the story; however, one of the FMCs, Charlotte, fell a little flat for me. I know that she was the narrator of the story, but even then we didn't get much depth from her.
Think cozy sweaters, fairy lights, and falling head over heels in Dublin with a sprinkle of sass and just the right amount of spice.
Meet Charlotte: A Florida grad student adjusting to Irish rain, bad roommates, and zero Christmas cheer. Meet Aoife: Gorgeous, confident opera singer who’s not-so-secretly loaded and knows how to sweep a girl off her feet.
One dating app match later, and BAM—it’s a Hallmark movie with a spicy twist!🎬🔥
✨ Why You’ll Love It ✨ 🐶 Puppy for Christmas (yes, please!) 💸 Secret Billionaire Glam ✨ 🎄 All the cozy holiday vibes 🌟 Opposites Attract Magic 🔥 Aoife calling Charlotte “Princess” (and oh, does it work) 💞 NO unnecessary drama—just pure, heart-melting fluff and good communication.
It’s giving magical Christmas in Ireland, first-kiss butterflies, and swoon-worthy moments that’ll make you believe in love at first swipe.
And that scene where Aoife whispers, “You’re going to be a good girl for me”? Oh, babe!🫠 Somebody turn the heat up because it’s getting steamy in this winter wonderland! 🔥
Favorite Moment: “Lay back on the bed properly, princess.” I don’t know about Charlotte, but I’d be writing my new title in cursive by now.👑
This book is everything—cozy, romantic, and impossible to put down.
Perfect for fans of sapphic love stories, holiday romances, and billionaire sugar-mommy vibes (because YES, Aoife delivers).
✨Grab this novella, your coziest blanket, and some hot cocoa—you’re about to fall in love faster than Charlotte swipes right.🎄
This was such a cute read for the holidays! I’m slowly getting into the holiday reading groove and this was a perfect start to it. It’s a contemporary FF romance with a secretly rich lead set in Ireland. The scenery was so great and I loved all the locations the author showcased to really put you in the story. I thought Charlotte and Aoife’s relationship was super cute. I felt like Aoife really pulled Charlotte out of her shell and made her more confident. I also loved how Charlotte accepted Aoife for who she was, that it didn’t even cross her mind to research her or think she was super wealthy.
It was so wholesome with a little spice sprinkled in. Their relationship was super cute and the book felt like a hallmark movie. So many classic Christmas story elements like being secretly wealthy, mean roommates, spending Christmas with a fancy family and getting a puppy for Christmas! I think it’s a great read for the holidays and I 100% recommend it to anyone who loves hallmark movies and romance!

Winter Nights and Christmas Lights features FMC Charlotte who is studying abroad in Ireland. She meets Aoife on a dating app and decides to meet up with her on a whim. They hit it off immediately, and they fall head over heels. This is a warm, cozy hug in a book! The fluff and romance between the FMCs is so wholesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of witnessing their romance blossom. There are a few spicy scenes, but it doesn’t come across as the main focus at any point. I think the author expertly wrote Charlotte and Aoife’s love story. The hidden identity involved gave so much depth to the FMCs’ relationship, I think it was portrayed really well! I will be highly recommending this Irish sapphic Christmas read to everyone!
This book felt so cozy, literally Christmas time in Ireland and the descriptions of the scenery and the buildings felt so magical. I loved how they meet on a dating app and she is immediately panicked over how hot she is and shocked that they match.
I loved how easy their relationship was, and that it focused on the excitement of meeting someone’s new and falling for them. The small moments of anxiety about seeing them in person and the anticipation of second date. The build up to a first kiss.
Gah!! I loved this so much, and the ending had me in tears just so happy with reading such a cute sweet novella.
Charlotte just came to Dublin for Grad school, looking for a new start in a new city. But getting to know new people is difficult. That is until Charlotte meets Aoife on a dating app and the two of them just click. Maybe Charlotte's Christmas will be even better than she thought it would with her new found friend who is quickly becoming so much more. This is a really REALLY cute novella.with all the feels, fun and Christmas vibes. Sprinkled with a bit of sp!ce, a lot of family, a surprise which thankfully doesn't lead to a third act break up due to open communication and an adorable furry present, this is the perfect bite-sized Christmas story to devour on a cozy afternoon.
This was a super little winter novella. I absolutely loved how Aoife helped Charlotte grow into the bright person she is. As the characters’ dynamics show, Aoife is exactly the right person for Charlotte, making the story ten times better.
Even though this story was super cute, I wish there was a little more at the end, but I am selfish and want to see more of these two together.
Also, how could I forget about cute little Belle. Aoife is doing the best for Miss Charlotte.
Winter Nights & Christmas Lights. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A cute and quick sapphic read perfect for Christmas. It had a lot of happy, feel good moments that put me in the Christmas spirt. It felt like I was watching a Hallamark Christmas movie with lesbian leads. It was short, but amazing. And Christmas in Ireland? Yes, please! Lets not forget about Belle! A perfect gift for Charlotte from Aoife All in all, it was a wonderful, quick read for this holiday season
Cute and short, slice of life sapphic romance to get you in the holiday spirit! I wasn't feeling very festive but after reading this it made me want to put up all the decorations and go out and do all the holiday activities! And hopefully one day be able to experience Ireland during the holidays myself. Finding a hot girlfriend with a manor in the Irish countryside wouldn't be bad either. 😏
I absolutely loved the festive novella! It was so cute and perfect to start out the christmas season! Aofie and Charolette meet in Ireland over a dating app and it's such a cute story and full of love. It's so warm and cozy but also a little spicy! If you love christmas this is the perfect book for you.
this was such a cozy read! i’m not a super big fan of slice of life stuff, but this had me hooked and feeling festively sappy. aoife and charlotte were absolutely adorable and convinced me that i need more sapphic sugar baby romance novels in my life.
I haven't come across many sapphic novellas but I thoroughly enjoyed this one! I love the build-up of Aoife and Charlotte's relationship & while it was a little spicy, they were just so sweet together!
