Peter Kay returns with his most entertaining autobiography yet!
‘Think of this autobiography as a twelve-month subscription to my memories and meanderings across the calendar year. With each month reflecting a different phase of my life, complete with dodgy decisions, bizarre plot twists and more than a few laugh-out-loud moments.’
Peter Kay is back – and funnier than ever – with his most heartfelt and hilarious autobiography yet. Take a whistlestop journey through his life, in a year. From hitting the gym in January, falling in love in February and a nostalgic trip to Ireland at Easter, to buying his first house in May. Then it’s summer holidays at Butlins, a September wedding and, before you know it, he’s packing away the Halloween decorations and sipping a glass of Bailey’s in front of the Christmas telly.
Hilarious from start to finish! Peter Kay is my favourite comedian of all time, and the stories he tells within this book kept me hooked as a reader. Funny anecdotes throughout too! Thoroughly recommend!
I enjoyed this book as I thought it was like an autobiography and it felt honest. However, there weren’t as many laugh out loud moments as I was expecting. Some of it was a bit contrived, in my opinion, that’s why I’ve given it 4* Not wanting to end on a low point, I think Peter is extremely clever at what he does, he’s witty and his observational humour is second to none!
To say I chuckled reading this would be understatement of the year!! I howled, guffawed and split my sides with laughter!! Stories of him DJ’ing, giving people lifts at weddings, time spent in Ireland with friends and family and much, much more was rather entertaining and, as I say, comedy with a capital C! Kay’s best book yet, in my humblest of humble opinions!! 📖 ☝️💯🕺🕺😎
Enjoyable book, lots of laughter and reminiscing about things that happened to him that also happened to many of us in our childhood. Worth a read, finished in two days !
This book was ok, not really want I expected not like his other autobiography books, it didn’t make me laugh out loud, it made me smile in a few places but that was all.
