This gothic dark vampire romance is going to have you all in your feels in more ways than one.

This is told 1st person dual pov style and the story centers around Mikael, our powerful, obsessive and at times cruel MMC. Along with Seraphina’s our human without the capacity to hate FMC.

This is a fast pace story chock full of banter, enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, forced proximity, SPICE and so much more.

If you love a true enemies to lovers without the guarantee of things working out for the better in the end then this book is for you.

Overall 5 ⭐️ read for me with a solid 3🌶️

I really enjoyed reading this book; if you love vampires… this is your book! It’s an unputdownable enemies to lovers that will immerse you in Victorian times.
You will be presented with great descriptions, fast paced narrative (two different POV) and gripping characters. Brace yourself for spicy scenes and an ending that will leave no one indifferent.
Thanks to BookSirens and Azriel Hope for a copy of this book to read and review voluntarily.

This story is a powerful exploration of a monstrous, angry man struggling with an all-consuming love. Can Mikael overcome his darkness and allow Seraphina into his heart, or will his rage destroy her forever? The character development is fantastic, providing insight into what shaped him into the "evil and Angry" figure we know from the first book Blood and Heaven. Be prepared for an intense, emotional ride that truly enriches the entire Realms of Eschaton universe. The first book I gave 5 stars. This novel is a solid 4.5 stars.

I give it 4.75 ⭐️

I was hooked right from the start! Seraphina is the kind of character you just want to know more about. She is strong, stubborn, and a little broken inside. The world feels dark and mysterious, filled with vampires, blood, and forbidden emotions. I loved the connection between her and Mikael, that mix of power, desire, and danger.
It’s such a good book. In many stories I’ve been on edge with excitement, but this one hit differently, it touched something deeper, right in the heart. I can’t say much more without spoiling, but it’s truly worth reading.

Thank you so much Azriel och BookSirens for letting me be a part of the team.❤️🌺

ARC review!

A love story written in blood and grief.

🖤🩸💔🔥🕯️

Seraphina’s Blood is not just a dark romance. It’s a requiem. A love story between a vampire and a human, but stripped of glamour or mercy. What caught me wasn’t the spice, though there’s plenty of that — it was the ache beneath every line, the inevitability of loss carried like a shadow from the very first page.

There’s power, obsession, cruelty. Mikael’s need to possess Seraphina is chilling at first:

“She would have no privacy, because she was my slave and would be for the rest of her life.”
“It would ache, but I wasn’t concerned about her pain, it wasn’t in a vampire’s nature to care.”

And yet, piece by piece, something shifts. Through Seraphina’s quiet defiance, through her refusal to hate, Mikael’s armour fractures:

“By human standards, I was callous, selfish — cruel, and immensely so. [...] Feeling human emotions for the first time, however, had subdued me.”
“When you are born unwanted, you learn to find happiness in anything. I am content and to me that is happiness.”

What destroyed me was how their story never pretended to have a happy ending. It’s not about conquering the darkness. It’s about holding on for as long as you can before it swallows you whole.
There’s one line I can’t forget:

“If I truly loved her, I had to let her go, because she was never meant to be mine. I stole light from the sun and thought it would erase my darkness, but all it did was dim the light.”

By the time Mikael says:

“I love you, Seraphina. You have been my life. I will never love again. This I vow.”

I was already crying. And that final pulse of light, as Seraphina’s soul leaves, is the perfect closing chord for a symphony made of hunger, tenderness, and inevitable loss.

💬 Final thoughts:
If you want something soft and easy — don’t pick up Seraphina’s Blood. But if what you crave is intensity, beauty laced with pain, a story that doesn’t shy away from the cost of loving someone too much... this is for you.

📌 What to expect:

🩸 Dark vampires, no apologies.

💔 The most human kind of grief, inside a monster’s heart.

🔥 Spice, yes, but heavy with meaning.

🕯️ A quiet, aching kind of hope that never fully dies.

“We were never meant to be, the vampire and the human, but when we were just he and I, when the world stopped spinning, there was a place for us.”

A heartfelt thank you to BookSirens and the author for the opportunity to read this ARC. It was an unforgettable experience.

To properly be able to review this book, I need to break it down into sections.

Section 1: Beginning
I loved the beginning of this book. I’ve never really been one for a vampire romance, so I thought I would give this book a try, and I was hooked on the first chapter. The one thing that kind of put me off was how very fast paced it was. This isn’t just go for the beginning, but also for the whole book. Especially towards the end. When I first picked up the book, I found myself almost giddy to understand how it would come to an end after reading the prologue. That leads me into the middle.

Section 2: During
The transition from the beginning of the book into this section, where Hope sort of elaborates on the relationship between Seraphina and Mikeal, I found extremely captivating. The plot of this almost “forbidden” trope in a vampiric setting was really alluring to me. this section is where I got my cutie banter that I so adore. There’s nothing I love more than a good back-and-forth between an FMC and an MMC. Hope does a fantastic job of highlighting the differences between these two characters and setting the tone for further decisions that come later in the book. The fast paced writing continues on throughout this. while the banter was delicious, I found myself feeling the relationship between the two characters are very forced. And in context of the situation they’re in, it kind of is. Still, I felt like I was almost being pushed into wanting these two characters to be together, even though circumstantially it didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.

Section 3: Time jumps?
for some reason, at the end of the book, there’s a lot of time jumps. I won’t go into explaining what they are because this is a spoiler free review, but I found it unnecessary. From an outsiders perspective, I saw what the author was attempting to do with drawing out the time like that, but in all reality, it just felt extremely pushy. And yes, well the ending did make me cry my eyes out, I still felt that after I finished it, it felt like it wasn’t finished. Because it was so fast paste I felt like I was being robbed of a lengthy story.

To recap- it wasn’t my favorite. Good! Just a lot of minor plot and writing mishaps that lead my astray.

P.S. (I received a copy of this book to review for free)

Dedication: “To all of those who have loved to the moon, a soul that never came back.”

Quote: “Help me find my way back to you… guide me through this darkness, once more.”

The dedication says more than I ever could...

This is the short version of my still-fresh, chaotically emotional wave.

I picked this book on instinct, unprepared. I thought I was stepping into a sinful vampire world. And I was right… at first.

It begins like fire. Like hunger. Mikael walked onto the page, and I was gone - glamoured. It’s sharp, deep, and addictive - the kind of story that drags you under and whispers that drowning feels good.

And then… it changed.
What started as temptation and fangs turned into something cruel and heartbreaking. A love so deep it hurt. A grief so raw it hollowed me out. I didn’t think. I didn’t predict. The story swallowed me whole - then spat me out shattered.
If I didn’t notice the writing, if I didn’t stop once to analyze the worldbuilding, it means one thing: it was flawless.

In this world, every choice bleeds. Every price takes something you can’t get back. And sometimes, even free will isn’t free at all…

Seraphina and Mikael…
A love that healed.
A love that fought.
Seraphina made one choice - the only choice that was truly hers and it shattered everything.

The last 20% I read through tears. This isn’t just a love story. It’s a tragedy. A graveyard of too-lates and what-ifs.

And all I can think now is this: Love hard. Love now. Because darkness will come - and when it does, there is no magic strong enough to stitch your soul back together.

Thank you Booksirens and Azriel Hope for this ARC. I’m leaving this review broken and not ready to leave this world behind…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is the second time I am reading Azriel Hope, and just like the previous book, Blood and Heaven, this one was soooo intense. One really has to be prepared for the intensity of it or else one's reaction to the book could go either way. Fortunately for me, having read Blood and Heaven prior has readied my heart for the wave of various emotions that would hit me as I read this book.

Prepare yourself for the main characters. On the one hand, there is Mikael, a vampire who as morally black as they could be (at least in the beginning). I despised him at the beginning, for his disdain of humans, and for his treatment of Seraphina. Ironically, it was with Seraphina's pure goodness and utter humanity that softened Mikael's dark edges in the end. Their character development in this story was masterful that what became of them in the end is something that would really hit you hard.

As you read this book to the end, brace yourself for a very painful cliffhanger. I couldn't help but reach out to the author to get some reassurance of a happy ever after in Mikael's and Seraphina's future. As to what she told me, well, that is something I'm going to have to keep to myself for now!

I am supremely thankful to the author for granting me a free review copy of this book. I am writing this review voluntarily.

ARC review....

Seraphina's Blood was a good enemies to lovers book. it was well written. you get 2 different POV which i love. Mikael is a broody, dark vampire that wasn't supposed to fall in love with a human. when he met Seraphina who is a shy and innocent girl and had a taste of her blood, he started having human feelings. Mikael was cruel to Seraphina at first because it was in his nature as a vampire not to care about humans, but then he truly became obsessed and in love with her. he treated Seraphina good for most of the book, but when they had to go to an event with other vampires, Mikael had to act like Seraphina was nothing but a pet. I did like how Mikael finally stood up for Seraphina with his king, but I was not impressed with how bad he actually treated her when they were first there. he couldn't even look at her and let his king be cruel to her. But in the end, you could truly see how much Mikael loved Seraphina. she was his light to tame his darkness. The ending will leave you hanging and wanting more! I'm hoping this may be a possible series?🤞 All around, i enjoyed this book. thank you BookSirens and Azriel Hope for letting me read and review this book.

Wow, this one hit me in my feelings. I was tearing up by the end and had such an emotional connection to Seraphina and watching what she goes through. She is such a strong character that stays true to herself all the way through and doesn’t let anyone or anything change that. It was so interesting to see this other side of Mikael, after what we see of him in Blood and Heaven, it really allows us to see his humanity and also how he becomes who he is in that book, it has made me look at him in a different light and the reasoning he has behind his actions. These two really show the strength of their love from the start and through its ups and downs, and trust me they go through a hell of a lot. I know this is a standalone but I would love to see more of them and their story, as I feel like there is so much more to explore, especially with how it has been left off. The writing was beautiful and very honouring of the time period and of the characters, it makes you feel like you are right there with them, experiencing the same love, torment and heartbreak.

This book is marvelously written and, even if the story is dark, and the main male character is even darker, it is such a beautiful one! I loved Mikael and Seraphina, and the way they danced around each other. Her sole purpose is to love Mikael,to teach him to love and his is to keep Seraphina alive and happy, even if all odds are against him.
This story makes you feel powerless yet helps making you believe in love, and the way love can change even a monster's heart.
Vampires are my guilty pleasure, and Mikael is a very well written one, he can easily match Lestat, as they are similar in many ways. Mikael is so tormented and at war with himself over his nature, so,so much after finding Seraphina! It is not the philosophy of life and death that defeat him, but the power of love.
I loved this book! Loved it! 🖤

So, this book is about a vampire who’s kinda tired of his long, lonely life until he meets someone who really shakes things up for him. The girl is tough but sweet, and she’s been through a lot. Their story is about how they both struggle with their own problems but find something real with each other.

It’s got that slow building romance vibe with some spicy scenes and a lot of emotional ups and downs. The vampire world they live in isn’t easy, and they have to deal with a lot of outside pressure that makes their relationship even harder.

What really stuck with me was how the story shows love changing someone who thought they were beyond saving. It’s dark in parts but also hopeful. And heads up the ending leaves you hanging, so be ready for that! If you like deep, emotional vampire stories, this one’s worth checking out.

This book needs to be made into a film!

It’s been so long since I found a vampire book that I could really sink my teeth into (pun intended). A nice palate cleanse from my usual genre, it’s romantic, dark & doomed from beginning to end.

This is a great read for anyone who loves fantasy with complex characters and deep lore.

The book's many strengths, especially its world-building and character work. Make it a highly recommendable novel. It's a promising start to what I hope will be an excellent series.
