JUST when I thought I couldn’t add another book bf to my collection (I totally can and will).
There’s no ifs ands or buts about this….. YOU NEED TO READ THIS RIGHT FUCKING NOW. MJ has taken the top 3 spots of my favorite reads of this year. If you haven’t read the twin flames duet before, PLEASE DO. It gives you so much context going in.
If you want a dark romance that is slow burning, intense, jaw dropping, banter, sexual tension , an emotional roller coaster, and literal angst (not to mention yearning 😩😩) that OOZES from the words on paper to you that will leave you flustered??? Then Venomous Angel is the one for you! But seriously, if you really want the slow burn to ignite in your soul, please read the twin flames duet first. MJ’s writing is so addictive and captivating, I swear I’m hooked like a fish from page one. I’ve been foaming at the mouth for Venomous Angel since I heard it was coming.
Venomous Angel follows Nadia and Maverick. They’ve piqued my interest since the twin flames duet, and omg I’m IN LOVE. Their intense chemistry/dynamic (and slow burn 🤤) is well worth the wait from WTWC/WTWB!! TRUST ME. I can’t even begin to describe how rewarding it is to dive deeper with them. Nadia is a sassy, hilarious, ride or die fmc. I love her so much, I’m not okay. She’s my best friend and doesn’t even know it. She made me laugh so much my fiancé thought I was crazy laughing at 2 am. Maverick is a Doberman with touch her and die vibes mmc who will (and can) do anything to make (and please 😉) his girl. He’s a fucking KING right next to Jax. I can’t say too much about Nads or Mav without spoiling them bc I’m absolutely obsessed and won’t ever shut up.
After reading Venomous Angel, Idk if I wanna be Nads OR Mav 😭 fuck it I’ll take them both

MJ you did absolutely amazing. I felt everything. You’ve ripped my heart out and stitched it whole again with these two. I can’t thank your sweet soul enough for this arc and for your beautiful characters 🖤 if I could give this book more than 5 starts I absolutely would. I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

venomous angel is the first book in a spin-off series (until we’re bones), and should be read after the twin flames duet, as the plots are intertwined. it follows nadia and maverick ⋆⭒˚.⋆
if you are looking for romance that will make you slightly miserable in the best way (ripping hair out, heart aching, so much tension and yearning you can’t breathe, etc 😫) you will love this book. their relationship comes together so perfectly after literal years of slow burn and angst that you can feel bleeding off the pages, and it is SO worth the wait. i felt so many emotions reading this book and loved every single second.
i don’t usually laugh out loud when reading, but nadia literally had me cracking up. all her dialogue, her inner monologue, her actions, they were all so entertaining. i love her. for that reason alone, this book is worth the read (but there is so much more…including the immaculate spice that lives rent free in my brain every day. the polaroids…iykyk 🤭)

the twin flames duet has been one of my top reads for 2025! so the anticipation i had when i heard this book was coming out …. palpable. i have been waiting months to get my little paws on this. let me tell you, she did not disappoint!
nadia & maverick’s intense dynamic pulled me in from the start. it was soo satisfying getting more into the complexities of their relationship with this book. it’s a roller coaster of emotions, banter & sexual tension between the two. ALSO MAV YOU F*CKING FREAK!! i won’t spoil too much. however, they definitely ripped my heart apart & stitched it back together by the end.
MJ, you truly did Nads & Mav justice with this one. you’ve also left me begging for more per usual. thank you again sweet soul for this arc read! i can’t wait to devour every book in this damn series, be still my heart. ILY4EVA 🖤

If you're looking for a dark romance that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go—this is it.
From page one, I was hooked. The tension? Palpable. The banter? Sharper than a knife and deliciously addictive. Every interaction between Nadia and Maverick sizzled with emotional warfare and chemistry so intense it practically scorched the pages. This wasn’t just spicy—it was fire-hazard levels of heat.
What I loved most was how Madison didn’t just rely on the spice (though, trust me, there’s plenty of that). The plot was plotting!!! The emotional stakes ran deep. They are broken in the best way, toeing the line between love and obsession, safety and surrender. You feel every stolen glance, every push and pull, every whispered threat that somehow sounds like a promise.
This is my favorite read of the year, so do yourself a favor and just read it. I promise you won't regret it!

This story is a continuation of WTWC and the duet, meaning you have to read those first to understand most of VA. It’s outstanding, the characters are once again so enchanting. The story captures you as always. Madison’s writing speaks to your soul, the characters latch onto you and don’t let go. I have been thinking about them for MONTHS since meeting Jax and Tala. It isn’t as “dramatic” per se, to the story from WTWC but it’s just as juicy. Nads is hilarious, Mav is such baby boy you want to just protect him at all costs. The art is BEAUTIFUL. She puts her heart and soul into each page. Venomous Angel to put it into a few words would be: Hilarious, heart breaking, gut wrenching, alignment. Sometimes it takes a long time for someone to realize their worth and the right person will stay even on your pad days. NADS AND MAV FOREVER.
