UNCOVER THE SPACE MISSION THAT “NEVER HAPPENED”Buried ruins. Alien artifacts. A silent launch no one was supposed to see.In 1972, as the world believed the Apollo program was drawing to a close, a myth began to stir—one so compelling that it refused to vanish. Decades later, a grainy video would appear online, claiming to show the lost footage of a secret joint U.S.–Soviet moon Apollo 20.
This supposed mission discovered alien ruins beneath the lunar ice, a colossal abandoned spacecraft, and even a strange, preserved humanoid dubbed the “Lunar Mona Lisa.” The footage sparked a wildfire of online speculation—and catapulted the Apollo 20 legend into the heart of modern conspiracy lore.
THE MYSTERY THAT CAPTIVATED MILLIONS Was there ever an unacknowledged Saturn V launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base? Did NASA cover up a discovery that would rewrite human history? Or was the entire Apollo 20 saga a brilliantly executed hoax that blurred the line between fact and fiction?
This book dissects the viral phenomenon that shook the internet—and reignited public obsession with lunar secrets.
THE TRUTH BEHIND THE MYTH

What did the footage show—and what was left out?The Saturn V Explore why the hardware simply didn’t add up, and what launch records reveal.Digital Discover the visual clues and frame anomalies that give away the illusion.REAL SPACECRAFT, REAL HISTORY Beyond the hoax lies a fascinating true story of space hardware left the never-flown lunar module LM-13 and command module CM-115. Once destined for the Moon, these vessels ended up in museums, restoration labs, and storage hangars across the U.S.
Follow the winding journey of these Cold War relics—from assembly lines to exhibit floors—and learn how real Apollo-era spacecraft became silent witnesses to a myth that wouldn’t die.
HOW A CONSPIRACY TAKES FLIGHT What causes millions to believe in something that never occurred?
This section explores the psychology of belief—how moon hoaxes, Cold War paranoia, and viral video culture fuel the persistence of secret mission myths. Whether it’s a deep distrust of government or a longing for wonder, the Apollo 20 story reveals more about us than the Moon itself.

Interesting review of this conspiracy theory, effectively taking it apart.
However, reading this was like watching US TV, where there's a summary after every ad break (and a lot of ad breaks!). It was very repetitive.
Some glaring contradictions (eg the unused Saturn V is on display at Huntsville; 25 pages later the first stage is displayed at JSC) really grated, as did some just-plain-wrong things (Apollo 13 did not 'rely on the fuel cells' to get them home. It was precisely the failure of the fuel cells that meant they had to use the LM and its batteries as a lifeboat).
