The Adventure of Little Green Bean introduces popular science of environmental protection, concerning water resource, kitchen residual refuse and grey haze, with both excellent words and illustrations by virtue of interesting and ridiculous science cartoons. It tries to tell young readers how to prevent the earth from environmental pollution in modern life with science developing at high speed.

叶广芩，1948年10月生于北京市，满族叶赫那拉氏，中共党员，西安市有突出贡献的专家。中学就读于北京女一中，后考入北京七二一护校，1968年分配来西安，在黄河厂卫生科任护士。1983年调入《陕西工人报》，任副刊部主任，同年进入中国人民大学新闻专业函授部学习。1990年至1992年，在日本千叶大学法经学部学习。1995年调入西安市文联，在创作研究室任专业作家。现为中国作家协会会员，陕西作家协会理事，西安文化艺术联合会副主席，西安作家协会副主席，西安市政协委员,西安培华学院女子学院院长。
