In this prequel, Kira heads off across Yden in search of a cure for a friend but in the course of her journey, she happens upon Warlord Mandrel. A man who has allied himself with dangerous Cyclopes and a bloodthirsty wizard. Not knowing any of this, Kira herself falls into his trap when he poisons her with a dangerous love potion. Now, she must find the cure, not only for her friend, but herself, before she ends up married to the foul Mandrel, and plunging her family and their tribe into ruin. A must for any fantasy fan, KIRA presents an exciting novella-length prequel to Ms. Rogers’ delightful, magical Yden series and an unexpected glimpse at a favorite character’s background—or for me, anyway. As long as I’ve been following and a fan of the series, Kira has been one of my favorites characters. And I am sure she’ll become yours!

Though this is a prequel you may, if you wish, pick up the series and begin right here with no trouble.

Nomad warrior Princess Kira Szul is sent to visit cousins when her beauty interferes with her sister’s quest for a husband. On the way, Kira and her guard learn of an army of cyclops wandering in Nomad territory. They decide to confirm the news before reporting it to her father.

A chance meeting with Warlord Mandral brings trouble to Kira’s heart. The man drugs her with a love potion. Her future seems dire, but she won’t give up without a fight.

This fantasy novella is a fun romp in a world where warrior princesses exist and make a difference.

Kira is a strong, no-nonsense girl who's fiercely loyal and protective of those she cares about. She'd rather throw knives and engage in sword play than embrace her feminity. When she's forced to stow her fighting garb for a dress, Kira's beauty is revealed and so is her softer-side. She's sent away from Nomad Territory temporarily and this is where the chaos begins and doesn't let up until she lands in prison. In this prequel, the action and adventure that takes place on every page is the perfect setup for book #1 in the Yden trilogy.
