Sunita Venchard lives in London with her husband and daughter. Her journey into writing books has been a long and serendipitous one, taking her through a myriad of roles; IT analyst and designer, homeopath, mother and PC trainer, to name but a few. As a child she could be found reading the DC and Marvel comics discarded by her older brothers. From there she developed a passion for science fiction, fantasy, adventure and a love of books and films. Sunita felt almost compelled to write her first book and discovered that the process spirited her away into the realms of fantasy and adventure she had enjoyed as a child

“Your sister is weak, but she is surviving on your strength. She has, at the most, four weeks to live. You will soon begin to feel some of her symptoms. If a cure cannot be found in those four weeks, you will both die!”
This was an okay YA fantasy story, but it was a little too much fantasy for me really.
I felt quite sorry for Sheysu, it was awful for her that her sister was so ill, and it was also awful the way the crimes of her ancestors were held against her.
The storyline in this revolved around Sheysu finding a cure for her dying twin sister, and there was some adventuring. Venom seemed to be the key to several parts of the storyline, and there was a very small amount of romance right at the end.
The ending to this was okay, and I was pleased that we got a happy ending, I didn’t love this one though. 6 out of 10
This is a good book for readers of all ages’; it has a bit of everything, romance, great characters, original tribal worlds, fantasy, adventure and a plot full of twists and turns that all readers love. The pace is excellent as is the narrative and the reader is taken along with the protagonists for these adventures as she hsearches for a cure for her dying sister.
4.75/5 STARS: **I want to thank the author and/or publisher for providing a copy of this book via GoodReads in exchange for an honest review; all opinions are mine.
Enjoyable adventure with a lot of action. If you know homeopathy, you can see the themes in the various lands. But if you don't know homeopathy, it will not distract from the story. I would be interested to see the sequel.
Sheysu must find the remedy to cure her sister and goes on a quest through many lands looking for the answer to save her. Joined by an interesting cast of characters. Nice twist at the end continued to keep the reader interested just when they thought they knew the story.
I was given this in exchange for an honest review.
The storyline of Revive, was about one half of a set of twins, Sheysa , going on a journey to discover a cure for her sister who had shockingly dropped into a coma after spending weeks on a secret painting. Sheysa due to the connection with her twin was also sharing the illness but she was told that she would be the only one able to go on the journey to find the cure and that her sister was drawing on her own strength to remain alive.
Revive is definitely an adventure story, it has many twists and turns that keep you turning the pages continually, I don't normally like adventure or fantasy but I have to say I loved absolutely loved this book. There were a few scenes I found unbelievable I won't deny it but I don't suppose that's much different to most fantasy adventure books.
The characters in this book were well formed and more relate-able than many I've read about before, I felt extremely sorry for Sheysa a girl who had never been away from her mother and father that she had to attempt such a dangerous journey without them. There were many moments where she drew upon her natural instincts and acted but there were many where she just cowered in fear too. After finding out about her natural heritage you would have thought she'd be more accepting and want to follow her instincts more as they hadn't led her wrong so far in actual fact most of of her actual instincts had saved them from traps. We were introduced to a fair amount of characters in this story and learnt about them gradually both forming opinions who we liked and disliked in my case I thought Cain was rather more like a sly conniving snake than he was a wolf/feral dog, he was dark and twisted and formulated plan upon plan to find a way to become the chief and I doubt that's the last we've heard of him either. We didn't get to know the dying twin much as most of the book obviously she was in a coma and back at home with their parents but Sheysa for someone who was close with her twin sister didn't talk about her much to her new found friends which was a little unusual, it would be nice in further books if we got to know the motivation more about Kora's jealousy towards her sister.
Overall I liked this book, it was a little fast paced and there was a lot of venom poison traps in it. I enjoyed discovering about the Animalian world but it would have been nice to have time to find out more about the world they lived in. There was a little romance in this book but that was more insta-love than gradual building relationship love. For a fantasy book which I usually don't go for I actually enjoyed it and would be interested in any further books of this series.
It was okay but an enjoyable read. I liked the adventures Sheysu went through. On her journey, she not only found the cure for her sister but has found friendship, her heritage, and most especially love.
I pitied Sheysu for the hardships she experienced. I most especially felt for her when she felt her sister's true feelings for her. I admired the way she handled that information at the same time I wonder how her relationship with her sister will be when she goes back.
I liked her love interest with Aurum. For a second, I almost thought it would be a love triangle, thankfully, it wasn't. So far, there are two (technically three) characters I hated the most in this book. Although the fake queen (yeah, she's a fake queen despite how she became a royal) is by far the most dangerous. I'm rooting for Aurum all the way.
I disliked it when they parted even temporarily at the end. I really have a bad feeling about their journey to Mineralia.
The concept of Animalia was pretty interesting. I can't wait to see more of them.
Also, the romance between Aurum and Sheysu is what I would define as subtle. Still, I want more interaction between them. Cain kind of ruined it for the most part.

Really got into Sheysu's story and looking forward to the next one in the trilogy!
A friend recommended this to me and at first I thought it was for younger readers, but then I got glued to the story and loved adventuring through the different lands. Now I must admit to being somewhat forlorn that I finished the book and have to wait for the next part of the journey...
This adventure story was very intriguing. The use of names and characters depicting homeopathic remedies was very clever. Thank you for a delightful read n
This was a fun and exciting novel . I liked how it related to homeopathy . It kept my interest and I didn't want to put it down . The book is good for many age groups, young and old. Can't wait to read the next one .

I am not too sure entirely how I feel about this book. I like this book, but there are certain things contributing towards not me liking this book. The kingdom or tribes that are described in Animalia are very hostile and even vile, there were a lot of things about these tribes which were very convoluted which made it very difficult for me to understand some of it.
.
I can't decide if I liked the characters of Sheysu or Aurum; they were very interesting but I did find times where I was not very impressed with Sheysu. I did like Lupinum and Simione a lot better, Lupinum represented the strength and courage, whereas Simione I thought symbolised Wisdom and more healer alike qualities.
It was generally good to read, especially if you are in to all the animal prophecy stuff. I hope the next book is more elaborated in areas where it wasn't so much in the first and gain a bit more background knowledge about Sheysu.
I received an electronic copy of this book by the author for an honest review. I thought that the story was fast paced and enjoyed going on this journey with Sheysu, as she struggles to save the life of her twin sister and herself. Her quest takes her to many unfamiliar places and allows her to encounter people from different cultures. Although it was a quick read, it was no less exciting. It had all of the elements of a great adventure novel - mystery, intrigue, unfamiliar surroundings, and even a damsel in distress (or two). Interesting to read, I look forward to reading more in this series.
I received an electronic copy of this book by the author for an honest review. I liked this book. It is fast paced, and it got me hooked. Most things were a bit predictable, but the story wasn't about some big revelations, it was a simple and straight forward story. I would have wanted the pace to be a bit slower. I wanted to get to know the characters, to learn about them and see them interact more. The love also felt a bit rushed. I enjoyed the world, and would love to get to see more tribes in Animalia. I hope in the next book we get to know Kora, because I didn't really understand the origin of her feelings. Overall, I enjoyed it and would keep reading the series.

I enjoyed this book, but it felt like most of the storyline was a bit too straightforward. There wasn't that much character building, I'd have liked to get to know more about the characters. That would've also made the relationships between characters a bit more believable. I did really like the idea of the tribes of Animalia, where every tribe has the character traits of their animal. The book was a real adventure and kept you wanting to read more about all of the tribes and areas. Also, I really didn't expect the plot twist at the end! All in all, an enjoyable, easy read.
I received this book through Goodreads First Reads.
The beautiful cover art is the first thing you notice when you get the book. A classic fantasy story, with a whole bunch of unique elements, this book is filled with magic and strange creatures. I like Sunita Venchard's writings, and my overall impression of the books is positive. I really enjoyed it. Recommended for both children and adults.
This is a most enjoyable fast paced, adventure story with an interesting theme if you can find it. A good choice for teenagers upwards. Hopefully the next book will be written soon as I want to know what happens to all the characters in the first book.
I loved this book, couldn’t put it down. The characters really resonated with me. Even though I think it was given as young fantasy, I’m considerably older and not a fantasy reader but enjoyed every minute - a great read for the summer.
Sunita is a gifted story teller, and her debut novel is a gripping story that will keep you engrossed right up to the end and will leave you wanting more!
I really enjoyed this debut novel. It has all the ingredients of a good read: mystery, fantasy, intrigue and a touch of romance. Looking forward to the next chapter!!
A very cleverly written, fast paced book which I could envisage making a great fantasy/sci-fi film sometime in the future. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
What a fun way to become more familiar with remedies! As a fantasy reader this is definitely how I want to learn all of the things. I read this a few years ago, before having studied many animal remedies and feel I need to reread to really appreciate it. I loved reading about the characters based on remedies I already knew. I want book 2! This reads like a teen fantasy.
