The ending was rushed
For this to be a standalone it seems to be missing something. Maybe an epilogue and an answer if she was pregnant.

Yeremy and Sol sorry was cute wish the book was longer because the ending left some questions unanswered.
Casper and Benita- storyline was not needed. I don’t like their “love” story. Casper punished Benita for over 20 years after getting gang raped because she didn’t listen to him about not going out. How can you be mad she wasn’t able to pick your calls or be there for you when she was being raped. Then treated her like filth for over 20 years and Benita never stood up for herself.
I love Fatz and hope he will have his own book.

I liked the storyline and both Yeremy and Sol. I definitely liked how possessive Sol was of Yeremy and didn’t play about her. I wish that we got see a little bit of a softer side of Sol and see him be more romantic. When it came to their relationship it felt a little rushed. Overall I liked the book.

This was so Good!!
Yeah I like this I'm starting to realize when it comes to my book bae I like them high-handed as f***. From start to finish this book kept me locked in. Yeremy and Sol were so meant for each other. Let me just say Casper was getting on my nerves like I understood where he was coming from but your daughter wouldn't be so naive or so oblivious to things if you didn't keep her in a bubble... If you just told her things none of this would have happened, So I definitely couldn't get with him on that like he was irking my nerves so much. I loved how sol was not afraid of him and was willing to go to war behind his girl, Once he figured out how he felt about her he was like bet that's gonna be my one... with or without your blessing n*****. I was happy as hell that Ramsey was unalive because that n***** was flaw and Bianca's b**** a** any day she can catch this fade,,, jealous ass hoe... Who knew there were so many f****** snakes in the garden and the fact of the matter is her daddy new all this and he could have just been up front with his little girl yeah it would of hurt but it would have saved her from the hurt she felt finding it out after the fact. Dr. LAMEASS... The fact that you was back trying to put together a happy home with your baby mama... Lame a** n*****, You feel upset and disappointed with her you ain't really wanna be with her limp Dick a**. Fatz was definitely a great side character I loved his personality I'm not even gonna lie I really hope he does get the help that he needs as far as his mental is consired but he was a hoot.

a solid 3 star read.. can’t say i’m too upset with this but it definitely had issues and i definitely wasn’t blown away from it.
Instant lust/love is something i struggle with so the immediate feelings of obviously clearly liking each other ruined it for me. their relationship had no real progression as the first time they laid eyes on each other, the author made it clear that they liked each other. yes there was a weak attempt to have some conflict and resolution (break up) but again you can’t make progress from something that was already established from the beginning. you knew they were going to end up together and that’s the point but i wish there was a little more natural connection and growth. piggybacking back off that, this “relationship “ didn’t feel like a relationship to me honestly. it felt strictly sexual and yes the author tried to include romantic scenes and feelings but it always ended up about sex in the end. I mean the first time our FMC says i love you is during sex and even then it was like IMMEDIATELY LMAOOOO. Fmc got over real betrayal immediately even after finding out something big.
Came for the promise of a good romance story but stayed for the drama which was GOOD. The author definitely had me gripping my pearls because it was 10/10 drama. Honestly I didn’t see most of the plot twists coming. Like i said it was a solid read and i will be checking out more from the author. I want to say IF you don’t care about insta love/lust then you will definitely love this but i don’t so keep that in mind.

I liked it… I really really liked it. I was gonna rate it three stars… but it made me laugh so hard I had to bump it up to four. Let me tell you… Fatz is my boy. I love Fatz. I hate that he’s depressed… I don’t like that part… but he’s so funny and so sweet it’s hard not to love him 😂 His birthday scene? Probably the highlight of the whole book for me. I was laughing like I was right there at the party.
Now let’s talk about these two main characters. Sol… that man has some serious problems okay. Possessive… controlling… but I think it’s sexy. There’s just something about it. I didn’t mind him being like that at all. Matter of fact… I was eating it up.
And Yeremy? I liked her. She’s a boss… she’s also a dummy and extremely gullible… but still a boss. I respect that she could’ve just been a spoiled rich girl cruising on her fine-ass daddy’s money… but instead she actually works to make her own. Me personally… I would’ve let my daddy take care of me because why not. If he wants to spoil me… that’s between him and God. But she still chose to hustle… and I commend her for that.
Now listen… the way this man disrespectfully puts his mouth and body parts on her… yeah… I too would’ve been gone. Any man that’s gonna put you through a mattress like Sol does… I would’ve been folded instantly. Don’t judge me 😌

This story captures realness for me. Thugged out hittas standing on business and family. Do I understand why Casper handled Ramsey. 100%!! Do I see how Yeremey and Sol connected. I do! Is it the typical forbidden love or different. It’s different because of Sol’s initial intention..lol! He ended up trapping himself thinking he could treat as a normal hit. Laughs again. Sol learned tuday. The secrets had consequences for everyone but the betrayal from Bianca and Ramsey never gets old and keeps you side eyeing so called besties. But she was really nasty and deserved all she got especially Yeremey’s hands. I love me some Casper. Controlling and all. I understand where his over the top love and concern comes from. All from a place of unconditional love for his babygirl. A girl could only dream of being loved by her Dad in just a little of this extent. Glad he and Benita could get past that pain. I love me some Fatz and I have not laughed so hard in a long time!!!…That club scene with Fatz stripping was everything with that chicken in his hand!!!…Baby I cried laughing!!!…
I was happy for Sol and Yeremy though and glad to see that a man with baggage and a broken heart is capable of loving someone and a woman with a broken heart can heal and love again too!!!…
Bianca was an ole dirty dog for real and she got that ash tapped as she should and then Karma did a u-turn on her too!!!…
Casper’s honesty was so refreshing and I was glad he opened his heart to admitting that he still loved Benita and he blamed her for him feeling guilty about not being there to protect and also being angry because she was not there for him when he lost his parents!!!…

This is my first read by Masterpiece. The thing I appreciate the most about this book is that it didn’t end with marriage and a baby! A book can end on a happy note without a marriage, proposal or baby!
I think Casper was too overprotective. While I can understand why he ultimately made Yeremy too naive. With a dad like Casper she should’ve been more aware of snakes like Ramsey and Bianca. I like how he was able to accept accountability at the end and realize how he treated Benita had a lot to do with Yeremy’s choices.
The reason why I didnt rate the book 5 stars is because I feel like we didn’t really learn anything about Sol. We learned more about Fatz and his background and he wasn’t a main character. He didn’t trust easily so he didn’t open up. The only time we seen him open up for real was at the end when he got Yeremy back and told her he love her.
I still enjoyed this book and hope we get a follow-up or maybe a backstory.

A love that can stand the test of time!
This book was beautifully written. Crazy as hell but beautifully written. Sol arrogance and nonchalance got on my nerves so bad. Yeremy green behind had no business being with Ramsey or friends with the likes of Bianca. She couldn't see what was right in front of her. Casper got on my nerves with his overprotective behind. Who does the things that he did to their daughter. I loved that the author shared the story of Benita with her daughter. I loved loved loved the opportunity she gave Benita with a second chance at love. Yeremy got with Sol, and he was an exact replicate of his father.
I needed an epilogue at the end of this story because Yeremy is pregnant. Or will their be another book?

Absolutely Loved this book… As forbidden as their love was it was undeniable and the author definitely wrote it as such. This is my second book by this author in 2 days and I must say MS MASTERPIECE you did your thang with this one… This book storyline flowed so beautifully and every character you can relate to with either knowing someone like them or even experiencing some of the things about or from them in real life. Oh my, what a good story! Forbidden Love was everything, just think about that overbearing parent, who don't want you to be with someone just like them! Yeremy was sheltered & had a heart of gold, but wasn't able to see who truly had her back and was a true friend. Sol thought that he didn't want a relationship, until Yeremy! Family can be overbearing and loving, but at some point parents have to let their kids become adults, Casper had a hard time letting Yeremy go, but it the end it happened. I enjoyed how Sol took care of his brother Fatz, they only had one another, so they were one another's keeper! The ending was refreshing!

Yeremy and Sol were a special kind of love. This book was rooted in trauma and deceit, but it was funny. There was an incompleteness to it though. It ended abruptly without no grand reconciliation. It was just rushed to me at the end and didn't feel finished. There was more reconciliation with Casper and Benita who weren't even the main couple. Then there's Fatz, he was getting the help he needed, but how was he actually doing? While I enjoyed the book, it was lacking a little. I guess we can't get what we want all the time. ☺ Happy Reading Y'all!💋

What an enjoyable read! Yeremy faced quite the challenge with her strict dad and the snake-filled environment, but Sol was the perfect fit for her despite his tough exterior. I was thrilled when he finally embraced his feelings for her! Fatz truly stole the show for me, and I would love to dive deeper into his journey—he deserves a happy ending! As for Casper, he tested my patience, but his love for his daughter was undeniable. Overall, a good read.

Yeremy has been sheltered by her father, Casper, for too long, and he kept a lot of secrets from her that led to a lot of the heartbreak she experienced in the book. At the same time, Sol, the MMC who also works with Casper, is also experiencing heartbreak and finds peace with Yeremy.
Their connection is based on finding comfort in each other during a hard time and relies on the fact that they have known of each other for a while.
The drama and twists in this book are very entertaining and kept me reading. I do wish the ending was a bit better, but this was worth the read.

Love exceeded the Pain
Sol stood 10 toes down about Yeremy with no apologies and fear of the unknown . The love Casper showed for his daughter was phenomenal but his growth truly allowed her to become the Queen she was destined to be . I hope there is a part two as I would love to see how Casper and Benita relationship as parents transforms and if Yeremy and Sol take on a new role

Forbidden Love
Sol and Yeremy was all over but it's like once they were together you can tell why they couldn't stop. It's the feelings they got when no one else was around hell even when they were trying to not feel it. I can understand Casper but to me I feel like he should have taught her more because he was so hell bent on him controlling everything that she didn't see what was right under her nose. Overall it worked out but still. I liked this story for sure

Naive to the realities of the street life, Yeremy learned some hard truths but ultimately found herself grounded and safe with Sol, a man cut from the same cloth as her father. Gritty, emotional, and full of tension, this story had me hooked from beginning to end.

This book had me dying, like the dialogue is so realistic & I think a lot of people would like it.
Don’t even get me started on Fatz, bruh Fatz had me cracking up damn near the entire book, my fav character all hands down.
The only thing I didn’t really like throughout this book was rather than foreshadowing, it just outright spoiled certain events that took place rather than building up the tension/foreshadowing. So when it’s all out in the open I had no reaction what so ever.

it wasn’t so much as forbidden love more like nobody is good enough for my daughter type of protection from the dad he didn’t do anything to stop it really he just made empty threats and they ended up being together anyway but the love story was beautiful. I love that he was a ride or die for her. I would definitely love a spinoff of the mom and dad love story as well as a backstory about his brother and his depression or bipolar disorder.

I loved Sol and Yeremy so much 🥰🥰🥰! Honestly i wish there was more pages i needed more . Fatz tugged at my heart strings with his depression . He was the funniest and the one dealing with the most! Would also love more on Casper and the mama ! And those who are no longer with us deserved it ! Lol I loved the book . Part 2 please or a novella !

Yeremy and Sol story started off sour but ended sweet. Casper, her father was really overbearing and overprotective. I guess it’s true you can laying with the enemy and your friends can be evil too, both of the people she loved the most was foul as hell. Hated the way Casper was doing the mama from a past accident, but I’m glad they were able to work through the past hurt.
