Sessions Vol. 1: The Sex Shrink of Seattle was the introduction to the successful, arrogant Sex Therapist of Seattle. He helps women and couples gain confidence and (re)-introduce them to their inner sexual beast. Frankly I though this would be a fun read, something a little different, and while it was something different, I couldn't help what I thought about the Mr. Sessions. This man has the ultimate job, sexual women who buy his time and is more than willing to pleaase him, all in the name of research. He had it made, money, cars, women and the adoration of Seattle. I had issues with how in some ways it seemed that he was abusing his power and just came across as sleazy instead of sexy. I'm not sure how many volumes there are, but I don't think I'm going to continue. Even with the addition of an off limits female and the unknown, isn't really enough for me to want to continue. It's something you should read for yourself, because it was my distaste of the MC that I chose not to continue and has nothing to do with the writer's style or skill.

This is the story of Dr. Simon Sessions (cheesy name, by the way) he is a certified sex therapist who's method is a very hands on approach about sex; he actually shows his female clients how to achieve different levels of orgasms. He's very famous, because he's not only very good at what he does, but he's extremely charming and good looking and also rich, so obviously he's very popular with the ladies. Dr. Sessions has the perfect life, but one night he meets a woman that really catches his interest but it so happens that she is off limits, and this makes her even more appealing to him, turning her into a real obsession for him.

Reading this book was very frustrating, because it could have been so good, I thought the idea for the plot was brilliant but poorly executed. The main character Simon aka Dr. Sessions, was the not the kind of man I lust for in a book, he was way to cocky making him almost obnoxious and his methods were highly unprofessional, in my eyes he was just a gigolo hiding behind a professional degree, and I didn't like that he would also benefit and highly enjoyed while supposedly helping his "clients". I also think that the writing could have use some improvement, the were a lot of holes and inconsistencies in the descriptions, and this made it confusing to read on a few occasions. Sadly this book wasn't for me and I can't say I'm interested in continuing to read the rest of this series.

This book didn't work for me. Taking into consideration that it is a serial, the character development was still lacking. Perhaps, it was due to the first person narration, but Simon came across as arrogant. There wasn't one moment where women weren't swooning over him - or at least he thought they were. Nor, did I appreciate his advice to women. I did enjoy the dialogue between Simon and his friend, Matt. Toward the end, the plot starts to develop as Lina appears at Simon's office for a session, but it isn't enough for me to continue reading the series.

#sessions

Dr. Mark Sessions....the well renowned sex therapist of Seattle. Women flock to him on advice on their marriage, relationships, and sexual inhibitions. He is the Dr. Phil of Sex. He gives advice and at the same time provides hands on teaching. Dr. Sessions is the expert you want to get sex advice from but what if there isn't any excitement in his own personal life. Yes, he has sex and urges that are being fulfilled. But there was only one that caught his eyes and held his attention. What happens when the woman who stars in his fantasies belongs to a friend/acquaintance? And what if this woman ask Mark to teach her on the lessons of seduction and sexual advice in preparation for her upcoming nuptials? Can the doctor keep his relationship with this woman who has intrigued him professional? Only one way to find out...let the sessions begin.

Sessions by Kailin Gow is the first volume installment of the Sex Shrink of Seattle. This book was a quick read. Personally, I felt the last couple of chapters of this book was the most interesting part of the story since I wanted to know more of Mark and Lina. I am hoping the author provides more of a background on Lina and her relationship with her fiance. I am looking forward to the next volume installment and can't wait to see where this new Dr./Patient sessions takes Mark and Lina.

Simon Sessions has made quite the name for himself as a sex therapist. He’s rich, single and living the life in Seattle, but his world shifts when he meets Lena. The only problem with his new obsession is that the woman taken. As calm and collected Simon believes himself to be, that is all about to change when he discovers that the client waiting for him is Lena, the woman he can’t stop thinking about.

This was an interesting start to this serial novella series. I am intrigued to see just where this might go, but am sort of torn because Simon is seriously more of a prostitute than therapist. I typically would be swooning and peeling my panties off for a guy this cocky, but part of me just was rubbed the wrong way about him. I think he has a story to tell. I think the hint of the hurt of his past has shaped him and once he shows that hurt, his ego is going to deflate a bit; which in turn will make him more appealing. But the whole concept of him being a sex therapist felt more like he was just entertaining clients and banging them vs really assisting any growth of their sexual awareness.

I get that this book would not be sexy if he was just chatting away with clients about how to get off or please their partner, but beyond the bits of wisdom he gives the crowd at the talk show, his office is pretty much an extension of his bedroom.

I am interested though to see how his time spent with Lena will shape him and his interactions with other clients. This series can go either way at this point, but I am not sure if I will be a forgiving reader should Simon continue to use his job as a way to bed women while pursuing Lena.

I like the concept of this story and will give the next in the series a shot, but there is part of me that is holding out a bit because Simon can ruin this all if he remains the typical male and doesn’t make some change in order to find a way to get the girl he wants.

Simon Sessions is a celebrity sex therapist. He's written self help manuals and he appears regularly on tv, dispensing witty and candid advice on all things sexual. He's also a player and something of a gigalo; he bangs half of his clients during their therapy sessions.

Like you do.

But then he meets someone he can't get out of his mind, no matter how hard he tries. And he tries quite hard.

I was expecting hawt erotica with a charismatic guy but that isn't really what I got from this. I struggled with the idea of a sex therapist screwing his clients during therapy. I tried to suspend belief and go with it, I really did, but I couldn't get past the idea of a supposed medical professional getting away with that, especially one in the public eye. I might have been able to overlook it if he hadn't have seemed so damn sleazy. I can't imagine that he's been written as a character we're supposed to like and perhaps that's the development we'll see in this story at some point, but it's hard for me to get invested in a story when the main character is so unappealing. I wasn't convinced by his insta-attraction to Lina either and didn't feel any spark between them to make me want to see them together. Sorry, but this wasn't for me.

***I received an arc from the publisher via netgalley in return for my review. Thanks!***

This is short and introduction to the series. The story is written n Mark Session’s POV. I love reading books in male POVs and it was interesting being in the mind of Mark Sessions. The story starts with Mark going through a “session” with one of his clients. These sessions are to help women learn how to orgasm. There are stages and Mark helps his clients through them. Mark loves these sessions and he know he is charming and can really get anything he wants. Then he meets Lina and she is not like his clients. Lina is reserved and completely opposite of what Mark usually likes. There is one problem, Lina is engaged.
In this first volume, we really learn about Mark and his behavior. He is an expert on sex and not only does he see clients, he does guest posts on TV shows. Mark is charismatic and attractive and women want him and he knows it too. Three quarters of the book was going through what Mark does and how he does it with his clients. We really don’t meet Lina until close to the end. There is really not much more to say.

I know if the volumes are spread through long periods of time, I will mostly likely forget about it. There was nothing that grabbed me. There was nothing about Mark that I felt I wanted to know more and that I wanted it now like with some sequels. He likes attractive women and likes to have sex with them. Honestly, I did not want details about Mark and the first client we meet, Atori after he sees the heroine. Mark gets all these offers from attractive women, but he goes back to Atori for seconds?! I can deal with heroes having random sex to get their mind off of heroines, but don’t call the same woman. I have read other books by Kailin Gow that I adored, but with SESSIONS, I hope the second book gives me the connection.

****4-Star "STEAMY SESSIONS"!!!!****

Mark (Simon) Sessions, the popular sex therapist, and quite famous celebrity who America knows and loves… helps women with any and all of their sexual issues. However, he does not limit himself to simply “talk therapy”, but rather employs a “hands-on” approach with many of his clients.

The love story begins when Simon meets Lina. She affects him like no other woman has, however, she’s engaged to another man. (Big hurdle to overcome there!) Yet, Simon is determined that her fiancée isn’t right for her, and he IS… he just needs to prove this to Lina. And he may have the chance, because she just became his client. (This is where the story REALLY starts to get interesting!!!)

I didn’t realize that Sessions was a “serial novella” series when I began this book. And I’m glad that I didn’t realize that, because I’m not a big fan of novellas overall. But this one was GOOD!!! It was well-written, and sets up well (with a good cliffy) for the next book… which I am now DYING for btw!!! So, if you’re like me, and don’t generally do serial novellas… go ahead and give this one a chance… I promise you, it will be worth it! The storyline is interesting (especially since it’s written from Simon’s POV, which I loved,) and it’s also got the perfect amount of steamy scenes with the hot sex-therapist!

I’m already very hungry for book 2!!! I can’t wait for it to come out, so that I can gobble it up!!!

Simon is a renowned sex therapist, the exception for him though is that he goes beyond speaking in his therapy. He is confident, a bit of a man whore, and wanted by almost any woman that walks the planet. The characters in this short novel are well developed. The internal debate or lets say denial of Simon that he might have found his match was not over powering in the least. The author left just enough mystery at the end to lead the reader into the next segment. Kudos to Kailin for continuing to bring us sexy stories that are sure to leave any reader dripping! 5 sexy fangs.

This is the first book in the Sessions series and you can't read this as a stand-alone.

Meet Simon Sessions, sex therapist, a man sure of himself and knowing what he does and of course with a lots of success in his business.
Being a sex therapist is where I was meant to be, where I can do the most good for the sexually insecure women of this world...

He helps woman to be more secure sexually. He meet his clients in his office, he's part of a tv show every week where he answer questions about sex of course. He also share his experience in different conferences ,bref he is successful in every aspects of his life.

And what about with woman?
Dr Session has a huge sexual appetite. He sleeps with one of his client (maybe others but it's not said in this book), he doesn't really want to settle down because he doesn't want his heart involved too much.
We learn in the beginning that when he was younger his girlfriend died in a car accident after a fight with him. From there, he was so devastated he tries not to be involved emotionally with someone.
But one day everything change (of course). He meets a girl named Lina, the problem she's engaged to a guy he hates. The other problem? She came to him and ask him to learn what to do in order to keep her man straight. She knows he dated hundreds of women and once they are married, she wants him to be faithful.

My thought:
It was a pretty quick read, this series is cut in several small parts and this one is a nice introduction for what will come next.
I was sometimes a bit puzzled by the way Simon express his feelings. For example, when he confess he was in love and he was devastated after his girlfriend death, it was express quickly with no real emotions like something it must said and done.

I also has the impression sometimes that the guy doesn't have any deontology. For example, he has sex with a client. Ok he's a sex therapist but still! And then there's no mention of the use of a condom. Usually when authors doesn't mention it, I suppose that the guy use it anyway but in this particular situation I think it would be better to mention it.

Still I will follow what will happen with this Doctor because I want to see where the story goes and how the author manages to turn the tables.
As this story is said from a male pov, I would love to have Lina's pov some time.

What happens when your boundaries become blurred and everything you dream about belongs to someone else?
Well in this the first of the new Sex Shrink of Seattle series by Kailin Gow, we are introduced to just that dilemma.
To the outside world Dr Mark Sessions has it all and in bucket loads but what he doesn’t have is the one woman he covets.
Guiding the lonely, needy and desperate through how to make their relationships work, is all lip service for him, because he cannot and won’t commit, the only woman he has ever harboured those feelings for belongs to someone else… until the day she walks into his office and that line is beginning to blur more every minute. Can he keep his desire under wraps?
Mark and Lina are good characters, although I took a little time to warm to Mark, he is not the easiest person to get a handle on. Not one likely to be backward at making his feelings know, this sex expert is to all intents and purpose a bit of a man whore, if truth be told but when the great and good coming looking for his assistance, he is far from wanting!
Lina was a different story, I liked her straight off the bat and I hope that in the next instalment we get a little more of what makes her tick. Why is she so worried about her relationship with her fiancé, I mean needing help and you haven’t even tied the knot yet – there is definitely something more to that tale, just screaming to be told.
There was enough in the story, short as it was that not only kept my attention and piqued my interest. I am looking forward to the next session and to see what the author has in store for both Mark and Lina

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

When I read the synopsis for this story I was totally on board with wanting to read/review it. I'm thinking it would be a great story to read from a sex therapist POV. This particular sex therapist is a player. A major player. His character is well written and he definitely comes off as a player. There are some instances of tenderness in him though. He plays like he's not interested in settling down but I think he would definitely be caught if he found the right woman to handle him.

When he meets Lina it's all he can do to stay away from her but seeks her out when he can. There's one BIG issue where Lina is concerned that will prohibit or rather may entice Dr. Sessions to spends as much time with her as possible. I think there will be some interesting intervals with these two in the future books. I am looking forward to seeing how these two work around their obstacles and what may build for the future.

Definitely worth checking this serial series out!

I'm going to be totally honest - I did not like this book at all. The reason for my dislike of this book is the main character, Dr. Sessions. I could not stand him. I wanted to dnf this after reading just a couple pages but I hoped that maybe it would get better, maybe once I got more information on Dr Sessions I would like him. No. That did not happen. If anything, I hate him so much I was hoping that this book would end with him falling out of his office window and meeting an untimely demise. Obviously, seeing as though this is just volume 1, that did not happen. I will not be reading more in this series. Out of any book I have read, Dr Mark Sessions is my least favorite main character ever. EVER!

Wow that was something truly new and quite refreshing. Mrs Gow tells

this story from the male character's position. And not just any male, but

a sex therapist. This book was a quick but steamy read and to quote Dr.

Simon Sessions “Sex usually is… if it’s done right, anyway,” and Kailin

Gow has done just that with this book. She has a way with weaving a

tale that draws you in, and won't let you put the book down till you

reach the end. I can not wait to see were this book leads the two main

character's Lina and Simon. Going to get this book ASAP and if there are

thers in the series out when you get book one, I suggest you just get

them all as you will want to read them all.

This book is definitely a fast & easy read. Once I started it I didn't put it down. Kailin does a great job of bringing sexy stories to all of her readers and this book was definitely not a disappointment where that is concerned. As for the characters, Mark is mysterious & sexy and I can't wait to read more about this Dr. and what will happen now ... (No spoilers from me) eek!
I thought all of the characters were well written, and I can't wait to see where the next book takes us. I'm totally intrigued!!! Can't wait to read book 2.

Sex from the male point of view. This book is about a sex therapist, Dr. Sessions. I really think he is male gigolo, he has sex with his patients to help them with their sexual problems. He is really full of himself until he meets Lina, a young lady engaged to an old foe of his. She is in college and is also an aspiring actress. The book is all from his point of view. He has the hots for Lina and does all he can to meet her. Now she is a patient. Can he keep his hands to himself?

The thing about this type of book is that you need for the main character to be engaging in some way. This guy just comes off as an egomaniacal prick who, if he were real, would be riddled with disease. To top it off, it's only the first part of the story. Who knows how long this will go on for. It now holds the dubious honor of being the first book I've permanently deleted from my kindle. But at least it was a fast read.

Sexy Dr. Sessions is a sex therapist who actually has sex with his patients to treat them. He is a bit bored of late until he meets Lina. Unfortunately she is engaged to someone he knows and is off limits until she becomes his patient. Fun, sexy story. I can’t wait to learn more about the enigmatic Dr. Sessions and what will happen next with Lina. Enjoyable read.

I have a practice in Seattle where I am a therapist. They call me the Sex Shrink of Seattle. Women call me Sex on Legs. I'm an expert on sex because I get plenty of it, and I know a whole lot about it. I'm also on TV as an expert on sex therapy when the whole Fifty Shades thing became big so now my business is exploding with women wanting to learn how to break free of being prudes.

Problem is, I'm in a rut myself. It's not exciting for me anymore, until SHE walked through my door and propped herself down on my sofa. Who knew SHE would be taking lessons from me, but she is, and now she may be the one teaching me a thing or two.

For a mature audience.

"You’re on the speaker with Dr. Sessions and I,” Ella said. “What’s going on?”

The woman started to talk quite fast at first, showing that she was nervous, but then she finally had to take a breath and slow down. “So, what I guess I’m wondering is if men actually go for girls who are close to their ideal woman, or do they go for girls who are convenient, easy to please, and fit into their existing world?”

“Great question,” I said. “You know, it’s often said that women are complicated but I tell you ladies, men are just as complicated. What makes it even worse for us is that we don’t really know how to tell what we want the way you women can. You’re definitely the smarter species.”

Everyone laughed and I shrugged my shoulders in surrender, then leaned back on the couch and crossed my leg over, showing that I was focused on answering the callers question with serious integrity. “From what I’ve seen in my practice and around my friends, the confident men go for women who are ideal because they are not afraid to stretch their limits and become the man who is worthy of the woman they love.”

I’m not 100% sure how I feel about this one. The concept had potential but I am not on board with a sex therapist that participates with his clients. I chose to listen to the Audible version of this book and I am willing to be honest and say that I do believe this was part of the problem. I tried to separate the narrator from the story but found it quite hard. The narrator was monotone and often over pronounced words. I’m curious to see if these obstacles can be overcome and at this point am still willing to read the next and see if it gets any better.

Kailin Gow - Sessions #1

ARC is provided by the Author/Publisher via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review. Thank you for the chance to review the book.

Enjoyment quantity :: 3 stars
Literature quality :: 2 stars

"What I really want is that ideal woman, the one who’ll make me do things I never imagined I’d do for someone—the one who makes me so uncomfortable that just being in her presence makes me stretch my limits as a man and as a person."

Hero :: Dr. Simon Mark Sessions
Only child of uberwealthy family. Sex therapist. Blue eyes. Celebrity. 28 y.o.
Heroine :: Lina Lee
Chestnut brown hair and hazel eyes sparkling. Engaged to Simon’s college enemy. An actress. Master degree in communication.

An erotica. Too fantasy to be a contemporary. Sex therapist who is willing to do any kind of treatment to enhance the sensuality of his patients. Elite family. Bored wealthy women. Instalove. 1st POV of the male MC. Office sex. Elevator sex. Love traumatic hero who captivated at the first sight of a taken heroine. Cliffhanger.

I was captivated with the very first page of this book. From the way it is told in the male lead POV, i got this good feeling that the book would be full blown teasing me and full of sexual tension. Actually Simon POV quite incredible. Thats until his patient shows up. Well, the story just instantly turned PWP and cheap by how absurd the session goes.

"Some might say that made me more of a gigolo but I disagreed. I was a damn good therapist and it was hardly my fault that the women I treated seemed to fall for me."
Okaaay. You know what i mean? Simon is annoyingly cocky character. He thinks he is some godgift to womankind or something.

Here we go again,
"Over the years men had grown to be rather jealous of me, making it so I didn’t have all too many male friends but I couldn’t help it. Great genetics and magnetic charisma gave me an advantage. And, of course, being smart helped, too."

Storyline wise, a thing or two could be learned through Dr. Sessions therapy and talk show. Some of it quote worthy. But not much content be told, maybe because this is a novella. The progression kinda slow tough. The author made the heroine so mysterious.

"sex is way more than two people finding a place where they can be intimate without any worries. It is a connection that joins a man and woman, heart and soul, and is an important bond of their life for all eternity. That’s one benefit but for women, it’s a little more and different. You’ve had so many boundaries and obstacles over the years, false labels, and problem.."

Well„ ofcourse Lina would be his new patient. The story only went back to the fantasy way when it just start to get to a normal and real level. And ofcourse she is a virgin. A virgin actress. Please.

"I’m not sure how to approach this while keeping you…physical inexperienced but mentally aware."

Sessions: The Sex Shrink of Seattle Vol. 1 by Kailin Gow
Purchased: Free on Kindle
My Rating: 1 of 5 Stars

Spoilers!

What's it all about?
Simon Sessions is a sex therapist in Seattle, but not an ordinary sex therapist. He likes to get himself some hands on teaching as well. Simon has always been addicted to sex, with almost anyone who walked into his office. That is until her meet Lila. Lila is engaged to Simon’s enemy, but that doesn’t stop Simon from planting his seeds along the way to get to her, especially when she comes to him for sex advice.

The Best Parts:
There wasn’t a lot that I liked about this story. Yes it is the first part to a six part story, but there was nothing here. There was no character building, just lots of sex happening. I expected a lot from this by reading the excerpt on amazon, but was shockingly disappointed in what I actually read:

**WARNING 1: Contains Forbidden Romances that may not sit well with those who like neat tidy non-forbidden romances. Also features a male perspective on the Fifty Shades sex phenomenon, and a shrink playboy who is about to meet his match in sexual games and thrills with a woman who will blow a male stereotype of what a fragile but strong woman is, out of the waters. Read the entire series for the build up to the shocking and genres-melding twist presented in Book 6 and then go back to look for the subtle twists and turns, as well as the interplay between characters. SESSIONS has been optioned for a tv series.

** WARNING 2: Features a man who is a man's man whose inner thoughts about the women he meets may be too hot for most to handle. His profession is to know you and own you. He may get into your head and your pants and never let you go. Meet Simon Mark Sessions, the Sex Shrink of Seattle AND a Manwhore who is About to be Reformed.***

There was nothing Fifty Shades about this novel so far, and I don’t feel like there would be. There is no learning of trust from Simon, there is only sex and as for becoming reformed, when he can’t have his way with Lila he has sex with a client, then hires someone who looks like her… That doesn’t sound reformed or on the track to it to me.

The Worst Parts:
The part that bugged me the most about this story is that Simon has created a profession in giving women and men sex advice and having them pay for it. Now this is an actual profession, but in the real word, the therapist DON’T have sex with their client. He is a glorified prostitute. He even acknowledges in by calling himself a gigalo. Now if that was in the book description that would have been more accurate than what was there.

Final thoughts ...
I don’t plan on reading the rest of this series, because after finishing the first part I started a new book, and never thought about it again. The writing for this novel was good, but the story was just so out there. For it being broken up so much this first part doesn’t seem to grab you to WANT more. I know this review is harsh, but it’s my honest opinion, you don’t have to agree with it or even like it.

Dr Simon Sessions treats women who have trouble expressing themselves sexually. He's like the celebrity sex therapist of Seattle and comes highly recommended by all that can afford to see him. While he loves he's work and sexual freedom, he feels like it's all becoming a bit mundane; until he meets Lina.

She seems different to all the women he usually associates with and for some reason finds himself enjoying her company as much as her looks. Problem is, Lina is taken and Simon knows the lucky guy. Simon does everything he can to get Lina out of mind and move forward with his career and conquests; what he never expected was to have her show up at his work and ask for help.

I really wanted to LOVE this book and i could see its potential to be so much more but unfortunately it didn't quite get me to the LOVE feeling. I did however really LIKE it :) While it was a very easy and quick read with some juicy sex scenes and witty banter it lost me a little with Dr Sessions lack of ethics with his clients. I suppose it is the point of this book to a degree & I've never been to a sex therapist before but I imagine it's not normal practice for them to f**k you while treating you!! Where he won me back was the way his feelings about Lina came across in the story and his character definitely drew me in.

Would definitely recommend this book if you are loving Novella Series' at the moment and enjoy a quick, fast paced read that leaves you wanting to know what's going to happen next!!!

Sessions Volume 1 is the first in a six part serial.

Simon Sessions is a sex therapist and is not afraid to take a hands on approach with his clients. Simon is able to easily keep his feelings for his clients/lovers under wraps, that is until he meets Lina. For some reason he's unable to keep his mind off Lina, but unfortunately she's already engaged to someone else. This volume ended on a great high note and has me intrigued as to what will happen next.

One of my favorite parts about this story is that it's told through the POV of Simon. Rarely do you read a story that is solely from the POV from a male, so this one really left an impression.

This was a decent start to an interesting serial. Volume 1 spent a good amount of time building up the story behind Dr. Sessions and introducing some of the important characters. Unfortunately, I found the story took a little too long to build, and it wasn't until the last portion that I really became hooked. I had also wished for a bit more of steam in the erotic scenes. The smutty scenes were decent, but just a bit too short and and frequent enough when I'm expecting to read an erotic novella.

With all of that said, I can't wait to get my hands on the next volume in the serial! I have a feeling that this is going to turn out to be a fabulous story.

This is a novella that introduces you to Dr. Simon Sessions. A Sex Therapist, who is hands on, when dealing with your sexual issues.

Simon Sessions is a world renown sex therapist. He has a thriving business, appears on TV to answer questions about sex. But his world is flipped upside down when he meets Lena. As beautiful as she maybe, she is also engaged. This doesn't sit well with the good Doctor, but he is willing to move on, but still thinks about his beautiful Lena. But then Lena shows up at his office for an appointment...

I love Alpha males, love them, but there was something about Dr. Sessions that kept me from embracing him. I cared about him, I wanted to know what hurt him in the past, but he didn't make my panties melt. I felt lukewarm, at best.

With that being said, I will say, I did love that this book is from Simon's POV. A male POV!! I think to read what they think about a situation, it's so different from a female POV.

It's taken me a few days to decide what I wanted to say about this book, I wanted to be tactful in my wording since this was an ARC. So here it goes:

Sessions is about a extremely egotistical alpha male who takes his "sessions" to a very intimate level with his patients. He's sexy but shallow as heck and he's not someone I would want to know in real life. Honestly this was not a fave read of mine and one reason is the Dr., he needs way more depth to his character and some humanity to make him likeable.

This was my first introduction to Kailin Gow's books and not a good first impression. I was disappointed since the blurb sounded great, hopefully the next book in the series will be better.
