Adapted from an address Arthur Wallis gave at High Leigh conference centre in January 1965, this little book(let) consists of seven short chapters covering the recorded prayers of Jesus in the gospel of Luke.
So, we explore Jesus praying in the hours of: dedication, acclamation, decision, revelation, transfiguration, instruction and redemption. Each one could stand alone and would make an interesting focus for a group study. Some of the language now seems quite dated and the references all come form the Revised Standard Version of the Bible. Nevertheless, the truths that the speaker/author draws out are timeless.
This is really a rallying call and reminder of the importance of prayer, not in a cognitive sense, but as a conviction that needs to be borne out in action. I found it timely and helpful.
