Celebrations: La Familia Banderas

Rate this book
This book focuses on the many religious, national, cultural and ethnic holidays that Latinos throughout the US celebrate, their significance, and how and why they are celebrated. While many holdings are common amongst many Latino cultures, many are unique to Mexicans, Peruvians, Puerto Ricans, and Guatamalans. The La Familia Banderas series are illustrated activity books designed to teach children (ages 8-12) about the many diverse and unique Latino cultures in the US, by introducing them to a four-generation Latino family, the Banderas Family. Students will join cousins Iris, Angelica, Alex and Felix, along with their parents, grandparents, and other relatives, as they learn about the differences in culture, food, language, religion, and nationalities of their Latino community. The books are written in English with many Spanish vocabulary words and translations.
